These guys did a wonderful job I was sooo impressed how much cleaner my car looks!!! Amazing job! However I couldn't give you a 5 star because the two ladies who wiped down my interior at the end were RUDE and unfriendly when I was leaving. They yelled at me because I guess I thought the one guy said they were done and I got in the car before they were finished. And when they were finished and I said "thank you, wonderful job!" The front desk and management staff are extremely unprofessional and dismissive. Charging $48 for a car wash is already excessive, but the way they treat loyal customers is even worse. If you forget your 15% discount card, they offer no flexibility or accommodation even when they recognize you as a frequent customer. Instead, they make you feel completely disrespected. The customer service is terrible, and their business practices are disappointing. I truly hope another car wash opens nearby that values its customers, because charging these prices while treating people this way is unacceptable. read more

I've been to many car washes, but my recent experience at Sparkle Car Wash in Newtown was extremely disappointing. The cashier was shockingly rude from the moment I walked in--no greeting, no courtesy, and an overall attitude that made me feel unwelcome. A simple "hello" or even basic politeness goes a long way, but instead I left feeling frustrated and disrespected. If this is how customers are treated at the front counter, it reflects poorly on the whole business. I hope the owner takes this as an opportunity to seriously improve customer service training and ensure employees understand that customers are the reason they have a job. A clean car is great, but a good customer experience is what keeps people coming back. Right now, I will be taking my business elsewhere until I see that things have changed. read more

I paid for the highest level of detailing to have the inside of my vehicle vacuumed and the interior wiped down, and it was very poorly done. They were very busy, but there were a lot of people working. read more

I have no idea why the reviews are so bad. I took my son's car in for a vip wash. It probably hasn't been cleaned in four years sitting on city streets of south Philly. They vacuumed interior, cleaned inside windows and dash, and scrubbed trouble spots on bumper, windows and roof. Joe was particularly diligent. He must have scrubbed for 15 min. He even cleaned four years of grime from inside the hatch. I am used to standard no frills car washes where you only get a towel drying at the end. I was also hesitant on coming here based on previous reviews. We just arrived from driving from California and the car was filthy. Sparkle did an amazing job in very little time. At home I'm usually at least forty minutes at the car wash. That being said they are not a full service car wash with detail in mind. I am not a huge fan of this place, but my wife was bugging me to get her car cleaned and Sparkle was the closest fully automated car wash so I drove over today. I went with the top tier "Extreme" package which includes, amongst other things, vacuuming, interior wipe down and mats. I routinely get my car washed in many area locations for far less than $43, but I didn't feel like a big drive and I figured if I got the top package at Sparkle, they'd do a decent job. They worked on the car for about 7 minutes after it came out of the wash. The exterior was fine, though the windows were still pretty dirty around the edges. The wipe down was OK too, even though a few spots were missed here and there. The vacuuming and mats however were very substandard for a $43 wash. See photos. How is it possible that there's debris all over the floor after I drop that kind of money for a top tier wash? Outrageous. I can do a better job in 2 minutes with a gas station vacuum. There's simply no excuse for this sort of performance. I've now moved from 'they kind of stink' to 'they deserve to go out of business'. Really terrible. read more

Tried the Newtown site out...............my truck had a small handfull of peebles in the bed.................refused to wash..........asked to borrow broom I would sweep, told we don t want your dirt on our property (manager) asked for owner, told "he is down the shore for the summer.................nice ! This place charged me $45 for what they called, "The works" and did not clean the car properly. I brought it to the attention of Brian (Manager) who tried to do clean it himself and then said this is the best they can do. I said, "it is a brand new car with less than 600 miles and you can't even wipe down the car properly. He then tells me, "come for a manual clean and wax". I said you have got to be kidding me. Waste of money for a $20 full service wash. I will not be using this location again. Their Penndel Sparkle car wash is less expensive ($17) & far better service. There were 10 people at this Newtown location pretending to be working on vehicles after the automated car wash. The following was poorly done: No vacuuming of trunk area, dash wasn't wiped down, windows were all streaky and plenty of missed areas and no wiping of door jams and wheels which were dirty. Hmm...I don't think a two star rating is fair here. I am guessing that only unhappy customers take the time to post a review. I almost didn't stop here based on the lousy reviews...such a shame. I have been here twice. Today we took my Husband's car...and he is more critical than me. We both scratched our heads bc we found the car wash to be excellent. First of all, my Husband was able to get a 20 percent off Senior discount...very sweet. We like that. The staff was friendly and wanting to please. They did miss a large scuff mark at my passenger door but once I pointed it out they jumped right on it and used a different cleaner and got it right off. My first time was equally good. I am happy they do the inside of the car...not every place does the inside. I am amazed they have so many people drying the car at the end. I have no hesitation recommending this place. read more

Total rip off. The only good part of this wash is they weren't too busy for a Sunday morning. Everything else was awful. Car was left wet, there's still duds in my mirrors and trunk. Worst car wash ever. I've been a few times and always not great but today needed something close and was in a hurry. Paid 25 dollars and said everything in and out , full service . Came home and had to rewash the car . We did some fall shopping recently , cornstalks, bought mums, so the trunk really needed it and it was not even touched. The front console I opened up when we were driving home.... also not touched ... still sap on the car. The manager called me back and basically told me all those things are extra here and there. Really? For 25 dollars, I get a 2 second sweep of a vacuum? Not acceptable at all. And there was all these excuses as to why they don't do these things. If I could give them a zero star I would. I go here all the time, and on a good day, the quality of work is mediocre at best, never get the interior done well despite all the extras I add on. WAY OVERPRICED !!!! on a good day. Forget it if it is busy. Today....sunny day and day off from work for most. After waiting in line, they Vac guys tell me NO Interior wipe down today because its too busy. How about a sign out front saying" wash only" rather than after we are stuck in the line. No Price adjustment..... paid for "the works" and a tire shine since I had my daughters car as a treat. Paid $31.00 and there was still mud on the bottom of the bumpers, dirt in the inside, (mat cleaning was included ) and had to ask them 3 times to actually wipe the tires that I paid an additional $9.00 for. Never touched the rims. Receptionist....... RUDE !!!!!!! I told her I was disappointed in the service offered, this was prior to seeing the results ! The exterior job is fine but for the money I expect more than 10 seconds of lame effort vacuuming, but that's all you get. I asked for a better job but was told when it's busy they won't spend time vacuuming. I've been there when it's busy and not busy and I've never had a decent vacuum. Also need to note that I pay for all the rubber mats to be cleaned though the machine so they don't even have to vacuum that part! I think they could do a better job drying the mats. They are always soaked with puddles in them and then get dirty instantly when we get back in the car. I still go here for geographical convenience and I imagine many others do too thus keeping them from improving the service provided....but they could do such a better job! read more

I just paid $26 for "the works" that was supposed to include interior vacuuming and wipe down of surfaces. The only thing they cleaned on the inside is the windows. This is the worst car wash experience of my entire life. The entire reason I got my car washed today was to get a clean interior. It is obvious the workers reflect the attitude of the management. They make half hearted attempts to do the job, although they appear to be swarming over the car with sprays and rags. When I got back into my car, there were large puddles of spray cleaner that had no been wiped. They do not wipe the dash, steering wheel, console- anything. Went in for the "Extreme Service " because my car has been sitting outside under an Oak tree this spring. Part of this service is to clean 4 floor mats. My car came out and looked good, the crew dried it and cleaned the inside. They started to walk away, when I asked about my floor mats not being cleaned. The gentleman proceeded to say that they couldn't clean them because of the style (faux oriental). I have been taking my car there since I bought it over 10 years ago and never had an issue. He then grabbed my floor mats and said "Whatever"! and mumbled under his breath. When he put the floor mats back in he continued to mumble. I spent $44 dollars for this type of service. I wish there was a way to give a zero star rating. I am a long time Newtown resident and am still in shock at how awful I was treated at Sparkle Car Wash in Newtown. The attendant and even the manager were rude, condescending and seemed to have forgotten what customer service really is. I was with my young children and even another customer witnessed the rude and condescending remarks that I received- all for simply asking if they would try to vacuum the sand from the trunk of my car. I urge you to drive 3 extra miles and go to the car wash in Richboro where we were treated respectfully...and they managed to get the sand out of my trunk! read more

The location is great and I think they do a great job on the exterior. However, when I get a package to include the interior it never seems that clean when they are done. Today I got a package for interior and exterior, they vacuumed the front and back floors, but seats are not included. I called once I got home and she told me the seats are extra. So the inside of my car looks great with a shiny dash board and steering wheel, and interior doors.....than my seats are left dirty. It looks incomplete and silly. I don't understand why you would not take 3 minutes to wipe down the seats when you are getting the interior and exterior done. read more

Sparkle car wash is my first go to when it comes to any other car wash. They do a wonderful job on my Kia optima. My car is used in many car shows in the Philadelphia area and they always make it look spectacular. I understand mistakes happen everywhere. But the way they are resolved makes all the difference.When I requested the $45 car wash, I expected they would do the things mentioned under that menu item. When I received my car afterwards the console was full of water along with the window section. My car was not vacuumed nor wiped down. Also the manager refused to address any of my concerns unless I went back into the car wash to get the slip they mark off with the car wash you ordered. This slip is not given to you to bring outside. He was accusing me of being dishonest until he received a slip from his indoor sales person who confirmed my order. He then continued to argue with me endlessly. Eventually they did a half crappy job of fixing the problem but shorted my windows with all the water in the consul. I as I write this my back and rear end are also soggy from them wetting my seats. understand mistakes happen but apologize and correct it don't accuse the customer of lying and have an attitude. I would avoid this place if you'd like your car and your dignity. Oh, and ps, they dumped my kids lunch box and got fruit everywhere after I had asked if I could grab it first because they tossed it, they then went on to say I dumped it? Why would I do that? Took my car to Sparkle for the 1st time & they did a terrific job. My car was a mess inside, dog hair, pine needles and winter dirt. The staff worked very quickly to get the job done and we're all so very courteous. I had met realized you need to request vacuuming of the rear hatch of my SUV & would be an extra $5, which is fine I just didn't know to ask for it but they were kind enough to use a hand vac & take car of it at the end. TERRIFIC customer service, including the super personable cashier. I will definitely be returning to this location. Thank you all for the wonderful service. read more
