I've been coming to Wheel Works for quite some time and have generally had great experiences in the past. Unfortunately, over the last year, the quality of service has noticeably declined with each visit. It feels like the staff responsible for cleaning the vehicles are becoming increasingly careless, often doing just the bare minimum. On my most recent visit, I paid over $50 for a wash, including a mat cleaning and a tip. While the exterior of my vehicle looked great, the interior was very disappointing. The mats were merely sprayed with water and still visibly dirty. The plastic trim on the passenger floor and the door panels hadn't been properly cleaned, and the trunk wasn't vacuumed at all. When I got home, I used a simple wipe and my own vacuum to clean the areas they missed -- the dirt came off easily and should have been handled during the service. For the price, I expect a much higher standard of care and attention to detail. I won't be returning. As a side note, while I was there, another customer was also voicing similar complaints, his car was still dirty inside and even had trash left in the cupholders. Wheel Works used to be a reliable place for a quality clean, but something has clearly changed. Won't take my car anywhere else! Wheel Works is my favorite. Washes start at $27 for cars and $30 for SUVs. You can get the "ultimate upgrade" for an additional $15 and they provide extra services such as top off windshield wiper fluid, remove sap and bugs, fill your tires, clean rubber floor mats, etc. If you decide to get the ultimate upgrade, you're able to go back in 3 days for a FREE wash or go back in 5 days for a half price wash as long as you have your receipt. That's amazing. The service is unmatched for the price you pay. They are always consistent and friendly even during their busiest times. I can tell the employees enjoy what they do. They make it fun. I've seen them dancing and singing while they dry cars. Definitely seems like a positive working environment. Whenever I stop in on a weekend, they have free coffee and doughnuts for their customers. In the lobby, you'll find air fresheners, wiper blades, Wheel Works merchandise (t-shirts and hoodies) and gift cards available for purchase. Cash and credit cards are accepted. Found Wheel Works through a random Google search for a hand car wash which is harder to find than you'd imagine in Philadelphia. Wheel Works was a bit of a drive from my North Philly hotel but was 100% worth it. I have been to many hand car washes as I like to drive my older 'classic' vehicle around the country when I have the time and what's better than having a clean car to drive? I always seek out hand car washes for obvious reasons but not all are the same. Wheel Works far exceeded my expectations for a hand car wash, especially one that an old car owner could feel safe leaving in their hands. They knew exactly how to take care of the white wall tires for cleaning and bringing the white stripe back to life. I've asked hand car washes to use a brass brush so many times and just gotten blank stares back. Some even tell me I'd be crazy to use one. Most of all though, all of the staff took care of my car as if it were their own, from start to finish. You are able to see through the tunnel the entire length of the way so you never have to worry about what's going on behind closed doors. I also appreciate that Wheel Works has a large number of employees working so the wash and dry doesn't take much longer than if you went to an automatic car wash. I would have no problem going out of my way to have more extensive services done at Wheel Works and I recommend you give them a try for a wash at least. read more

Today was the worst experience I've ever had with these guys. I've been using them for years and never had a bad experience till today. They left stuff not vacuumed and usually they wipe down the doors and dash. I asked them if they could and they gave me a look like I was asking for too much. The doors didn't get wiped either. This is how my car looking after i spent 46.75$ for the upgraded full service and with an additional$ of 15.00.for shampoo the rugs (that i never requested).Gladly i checked my trunk to find out they didn't vacuum or cleaned it at all.The employee was very rude.The 2 stars are for The receptionist who was very nice and professional. Tried this place after coming home from a long road trip and needed a much thorough clean. The guys are so friendly and professional, and the setup is great. They really take care of you here. I wasn't sure what package to get and was going to pay way more for one of the higher upgrades and the gentleman working explained I really didn't need it and he saved me money! That was awesome. Worst car wash experience. The car was not cleaned. The interior was left with dirt. They did not address the seats. They missed a big spot in the exterior of the passenger side. What is the point of waiting and spending over $30 for a car wash and still have a dirty car. Do not go on Saturday as the lines are long and understaffed. read more

I experienced Wheel Works hand car wash today for the first time and was VERY impressed. The inside of the car was vacuumed, the dashboard spruced up and the entire outside of the car sparkled when they were done. I was happy to pay $33. For this great service. Thank you So much! read more

Disappointed both times I've been to Wheel Works. Their basic wash is overpriced for what you actually get.. The second time I went I paid extra for upgrade package that includes bug removal and dash/interior cleaning. Unfortunately I left with a dirty dash, bug guts still all over the front end, and dirt still on areas of the car that looked just plain missed. For a $50 wash there's no excuse. read more

Normally I have had good experiences with this car wash not so today, as the car they were drying door jams that was next to my car they took the same towels and started drying my car when said something to employee drying my car he acted like it was no big deal , he did get new towels do final drying only to notice he used towels at end to dry my doorjambs and continue on to next vehicle with towels he used on my doorjambs . Currently my go to car wash place. I got a new car in August and have trusted no one by Wheel works to wash it. First of all this is a non machine hand wash. Second these folks really know their stuff. Third and most important is they give a $&@& about their work. Is it 100% perfect every time, no, but nothing is. Does is compare to other washes in the region, it blows them away!!! I really wish there was some decent competition closer to me, as I live 30 minutes away, and at times need to plan to get here if I am not in the area. But as there isn't any competition short of a $200-300 detail, I will be coming back as long as I care about my car. Their extra services are also very well Set up. They broker down some of them so it's easier to afford and one does not need spend money and get a full detail to get your car looking it's best. Finally talk to the owner and the gentlemen running the crew there and they will help you come Up with a cleaning/waxing/detail plan for your car. Bought a brand new car last year and have been bringing my truck here to get washed due to the fact that they hand wash cars. I have no complaints, they do a great job. The price is a little expensive at $30 for an SUV but I'm happy with the work they do. They have plenty of staff working together as a team to vacuum your car, wash it, and then hand dry it. Wow, talk about amazing customer service! I dropped my car at Wheel Works and decided to take a walk on the trail next to it. I did not realize that Wheel Works closed at 5:00, and when I returned at 5:30 there was the guy sitting there holding my key in his hand with a smile on his face! Great service!! Even though the cost for a carwash for a car is now $30.00, they do a great job!! They handwash your car which most places don't do anymore and they do a thorough job when they vacuum your vehicle by doing the door jams and they even vacuumed my trunk area. In June 2018, I purchased a brand new Kia Stinger GT2. I searched online and called my local body shop to see if anyone would be able to remove the Kia logos and replace them with aftermarket badges of my choice. My collision shop was unfamiliar with "re-badging" and I was uncomfortable with some other choices. I drove to Jeff's place after reading several positive online reviews and they took me right away. Within an hour or so the job was complete except for the front of my car as we had to wait for a part to arrive. I returned the following week and Jeff completed the job on time and exactly as we discussed - he even threw in a complimentary wash! Throughout the process, Jeff really took the time to get a sense of what I was looking for and made an extra effort to educate me on the risks of what I wanted to accomplish. The final result was that the car came out looking great and I could not be more happy. I can tell that Jeff and his team really do love cars and it definitely reflects in their work product.
