Just got am email saying my schedule and driver were changing and to go to website account for details of the change. Log in, and no where on the website under my account is a schedule, let alone a modified schedule. I closed my account. On 9/23 I received my close out invoice. On 10/13 I received a call from collections. Collections, really? I have never received a collections call in my life. Not only was it sent to collections within 30 days of closing the account the collections caller charged me $30 on top of the final bill because it was sent to collections PLUS a $7 processing fee. This company does everything they can to keep you buying from them forever. We had to cancel our account and there is no way to close it online, I had to call and was on hold for a total of 40 minutes, transferred to 3 different people, even when I talked to one of them they would not close my account they only paused it and required that i call them back in 2 months. Please Avoid this company. The structure of the company is built for consumers to not be able to cancel. The culture has zero integrity. I have called, emailed, waited on "hold" multiple times for over 1 hour. If you get ahold of someone they will state, "someone else" has to handle cancelations and continue to transfer and put you on hold over and over. Eventually being led to a dead end voicemail with no call back. I have tried for over 3-4 months. Reason for canceling is due to the water tanks continue to fail and not work (water doesn't cool or pump fails). The company refurbishes old tanks and never provides new tanks. In the last 4 months I have had 4 refurbished systems installed (all of them breaking in the first 1-2 weeks). The experience from not only the service side but to the cancelation process is a nightmare. I never review companies and I feel obligated to share with as many people as possible. The company has a contract inside Costco and was the only reason I signed up. I am now left having to work out the cancelation process thru Costco corporate center. That is the only reason I will be able to get anywhere. Long story short. Never sign up because you will never been able to cancel. Worst company I've ever dealt with in my life. Ordered my cooler and bottles and told them NOT to deliver it yet until we move into our new home. Two days later, it was on front door of our old house. Hauled it to our new home. Went through the two bottle and for the last week I've been waiting and calling the office for refills with nothing. They're telling me it'll be there in two days, nothing, they told me tomorrow, tomorrow, tomorrow and nothing again. They lie to you with promises without keeping them. Customer service tells us a manager will call us back, not one return call from a manager, receptionist ect. Stay far away from this company!! I have been a customer for over a year, asked for 2 bottles of water per delivery cycle which is 4 bottles per month. The delivery person started leaving 4 bottles every two weeks so I was being charged for 8 bottles per month. I called customer service numerous times, was told they would fix it but they never did. I was being left more water than I could possibly use and they were over charging my credit card every month. The customer service reps are rude and not helpful at all. My 87 year old neighbor has been taking Sparklett's since 1976. In April 2018, Laura being 87 and unable to lift lift the bottles onto the dispenser as she is now on a walker cancelled her water delivery. She received her final bill for $30.54 which she paid in full by check by mail as was her custom. She received NOTHING more until December when she received a demand from a Collection Agency for $300. Upon investigation, she found out that Sparklett's was asserting that her $30.54 check from April has bounced. First of all her check to them cleared. But even if it had bounced, by law in California, Sparklett's was required contacted her and advise her of the situation and give her a chance to clear it up, NOT waited 8 months in total silence and turned her over to a Collection Agency. By the way they did contact here from late April to August, trying to get her to resume delivery. On her behalf, i have contacted Sparklett's but three weeks later "they are still looking into it." Into what? This wasn't a multi-office location with lots of deliveries, it was one old lady getting a couple of bottles every month who paid every bill on time and in full. More than 43 years as a customer at the same location, and this is how they treat you when you become elderly? They could offer water from the Fountain of Youth and I wouldn't have anything to do with a company who treats its long time customers with such disdain. My actual rating is "0" star, because they do not deserve a star. But this system does not allow me to post without picking a star. I have been with Sparkletts for more than five years, and they were good until I put the pieces together. I sometimes find myself running out of water, so I call them and they would charge me for delivery of extra bottle of water. It wasn't until I was off for two weeks for Thanksgiving holiday that I realized I was being charged for a delivery that never happened. This was not the first time I would find myself low on water, but now I know why. If you don't pay attention to what's being delivered and when they deliver, you will be charged for bottles that never reached your home. Not only was the delivery service a problem, "THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE WAS EVEN WORST". After calling them, they did nothing to deliver the bottle of water that they charged me for and yet was never delivered. They said they don't do same day delivery and that my water would be delivered the next day. Well, every time I come home from work, I would find my empty bottles still outside my front porch. I kept having to tell my story over and over with different service reps, and even supervisors who kept saying the same thing. This was going on for a whole week, calling them every day after work. My final conversation was with a supervisor name "SARAH" who really had no listening skills, and had no supervising skills. She came on the phone with her mind already made up, had continuously talked over me which made me even more frustrated. After asking her what can she do to guarantee my delivery because I was tired of them saying they would deliver and they don't, SARAH the stupid, unprofessional supervisor hung up the phone. I still have not gotten a delivery after calling them everyday for a week. Sparkletts use to be a good water company, now they are the worst water company. I believe they hired all the wrong people. If you are with this company, be smart and get out or keep a close eye on your delivery and what the company is charging you. If you are looking for a water delivery company, do yourself a favor and never, ever pick Sparkletts, you will be very disappointed. I have read the other reviews and I'm in shock because I have NEVER had a problem with this company and I have been with them for over 5 years. My water cooler that I've had from the beginning broke on Memorial day. I called them that day fully expecting them to be closed, but thought I give it a shot. They were not closed and they took care of the issue without any hassle. The only reason I'm not giving 5 stars is because they couldn't bring out a new cooler until Thursday so it sucked not having it for 4 days. My water delivery is always on time and I feel the price I pay each month is fair. read more

We have water delivered here in Northridge near Reseda and Parthenia Bvd. This is the 2nd time their drivers have blazed into our office with no mask on!! We have a sign on the door requiring masks because none of us can afford to get sick. We sent over a complaint the first time letting the company know but obviously, management is not enforcing health code mandates. Not only were we subjected to a person with no mask but, I would image everyone before and after my delivery was as well. If my postman, Fed Ex, UPS, Office Depot, etc delivery people manage to wear their masks, what makes the Sparkletts delivery people think they are above current health code requirements ?? read more

They constantly deliver the WRONG water bottles and consistently DO NOT EVEN deliver. Sometimes I will get less bottles then I am supposed to and sometimes I will get more and get over charged. Just left this service after 9 months of inconsistent deliveries and terrible communication. I've called their customer service line at least five times to try to straighten out how much water we're supposed to get, when the delivery should happen (during our open hours would be nice!), and why I didn't get my delivery on time. After our last delivery was one week late with no communication as to why or when it was coming, I called and texted the delivery guy and the customer service number. It was supposed to come Monday. Then Tuesday. Then Wednesday I cancelled my service. Of course they could not give me a refund or any credit for not having water (for now two weeks). Knowing how great Costco products and customer service is, I said hey, Let's do this. What a big mistake! They don't deliver the correct amount of bottles per month, even after contacting them! Want to cancel? Good luck. I called to cancel, and they said they would come the next day to pick up the empty bottles ( my normal delivery day) and return my deposit. Like many others, I wish I could give them 0 stars. I'm not even going to waste my time by re-typing everything that every negative review here says. ITS ALL TRUE. I started out with them as a customer back around 2004 when it was O'Premium, but after Sparklett's picked them up it went to hell. I honestly don't know why I've dealt with it this long.... I guess working 70-80 hours a week as a self-employed business owner, I didn't feel water was very high up on my priority list. They've easily ripped me off for thousands of dollars, a little bit at a time...and knowing I was going to spend an hour or more on hold each time (I bill @ $150/hr) I knew my time was worth more than their screw up. Well, today I had the last of it. I'm officially done. I logged into my account and changed the CC on file to the VISA test numbers and they can go to hell. read more

Do not do not get service with this company! There is no way to communicate with them. When you call, you get sent to a call center in Alabama and then they "leave a note" for your delivery man to address what ever you need is. I was out of town for 3 months and the company continued to charge me for waters despite my account being on "replenish," which means they do not leave waters for your unless you leave empty water jugs out. I called to dispute the charges and instead of reimbursing me the company said "we'll ask our driver first." Long story short, I've been charged for about 70$ worth of water that I have not been receiving and cannot get my money back. Each time I call I am on wait for 30 minutes. Terrible customer service. I called the company to cancel my service after seeing how dishonest they were. However, to this day I continue to receive charges on my credit card account even though I returned my water dispenser and water jugs over two months ago and had my account canceled. If the chargers were any larger and I had the time I would take the company to small claims court. I canceled my account last week and was told to leave my empty bottles outside today so they can pick them up and my account was canceled and at zero balance and I would get a credit for the bottles (deposits I initially paid). Today six bottles of water were left in front of my door. I called Sparklett's and had to call six different times because I kept getting disconnected because of their phone service. When I finally got through to somebody they told me that my account was pending cancellation. The next person said that my account was not canceled, then when they sent me to the next person after 45 minutes of being on the phone they said that my account had been canceled last week and someone was supposed to pick up the bottles however no one would be in the neighborhood until later in the week. Worst customer service ever and extremely difficult to cancel but very very easy to sign up (big surprise huh) I will never use this company again and I will advise all of my family and friends to not use them read more

The credit card on my account was hacked several months ago. And of course its the primary card on the account. My bill racked up to $114 and they put my service on hold. Rather than calling me and asking what was wrong they just put account on non-delivery. I just figured all this out, so after a painful long call to their customer service (LOLOLOL) and explaining what happened and I only have half a 5 gallon bottle left, they can't make it out for another week, that's when they will be in my area. they wouldn't lift a finger to remedy the situation, so its at their convenience not mine. Am I not the customer? I canceled both my accounts and to add insult to injury they are charging a excise charge of $6.04 to come pick up their bottles. read more

I have never had such a hard time trying to just cancel an account... You cannot cancel online in anyway, you have to call them. But yet I have been on hold for over 2 hours and no one has answered... I have tried all of their "contact us" phone numbers and they all just send me on hold for hours on end. In the beginning it tells you that it is only a 15 minute wait time... Unless you intend on never canceling your account of needing any sort of customer service do not start their delivery service!!! Awful, terrible, unprofessional customer service. They robocall and then when you press the digit to connect with customer service they keep you on hold for 20+ minutes. My credit card expired and we needed to communicate the new digits. I made several calls with 20+ minute waits. More robocalls. More waiting. Water delivery stopped. I decided I would move to another service. Robocalls have now changed to collection calls for water that was never delivered. Very disappointed with their customer service... Everything was going great, until they run out of the water for over a month! No notifications, no communication, nothing! We had to call and ask about it. Then we went on vacation and put our delivery on hold for a week, and they still delivered and left the water by the door. We decided to cancel our account, and get water from another company. We spend hours on hold waiting for them. They cancelled our account, but never showed up to pick up bottles as it was scheduled. We waited about a month, and had to call them again- another 1 hour on hold- they finally picked up the bottles, but now instead of refunding the money, they just put money as a credit on their account... The website is down, and guess what- I have to call them again and waist more time on hold, to get my money back. Horrible experience!!!! Would not recommend this company to anybody. read more

Ok so, I've read some of the reviews and I have to say - I feel ya, friends. I can see how a lot of the things that were mentioned could happen. However, having read these AFTER I submitted my order, I rolled the dice with everyone's feedback in mind. I'd say, my experience has been good. The order: Things ordered online, so far so good. I said "5 jugs per month", it's just my husband and me. The website gave clear costs, and was easy to navigate. Delivery day: I actually hadn't been contacted at all by the company until someone showed up at my door. This is the reason I knocked a start off - seriously? You can't even send a confirmation email that says "hey, we're going to be there tomorrow with lots of stuff... just making sure you're still aware". Thankfully, we were ready. I received more communication from Sparkletts, like account number and such. You know, because DAYS AFTER your water and equipment are there, that's when most people are like "wow, what's my bill going to be". Pro-tip, Sparkletts: A follow-up before the delivery, with a confirmation of the order and an account number and a way to create an online account, very easy ways to make sure a customer is engaged during the two-week gap between when you order and stuff arrives. It also gives customers a sense of knowing the process - even if all you see is a page that says "here's what we're dropping off, come back here to see your final bill after the water has arrived". Setting up your delivery cycle: The system they use changed us from "5 jugs per month" to "5 jugs per delivery", which is approximately twice as much water as we wanted, and the reason the 2nd star knocked off the total (was added back later, will get to that in a sec). I corrected the system, and set us up for 5 jugs every other delivery. I think there's a bug somewhere that doesn't know how to translate an order of "5 per month" into a biweekly delivery schedule. I've seen worse software errors, and I knew to look (because of prior reviews), so this one instance didn't become a problem. Later we noticed we really did need a delivery every two weeks, we were running out of water (we had exactly enough to last 4 weeks) so we set it up to 3 jugs every two weeks rather than 5 jugs every 4 weeks. Before we came to this decision, we had to schedule an emergency drop off the week prior to our originally scheduled delivery, forgot to cancel our originally scheduled delivery, and now have 9 jugs of water in our house. We'll get there... just some fine tuning needed. My delivery guy is awesome, though... he got one of those stars back for Sparkletts. Joey is fantastic, very personable and very helpful. He's on time, flexible with what we need, had extras so we could overstock if needed, and even gave us his cell in case we had last-minute changes. He said he's had this route for years, and was really happy to meet his new customers. Sparkletts system pulled two stars away from this review, but Joey got one back for them... ya'll should give that guy a raise.
