I have had to switch my modem and router several times in the last couple of weeks due to laggy service. The office lady Robin is somewhat rude and refused to accept that she failed to upgrade my internet speed on my account and deferred to placing the blame on me stating that I had never requested the upgrade during my previous visit a few days earlier. Then she just walked away mid conversation and disappeared to the back of the office somewhere. The Ardmore, OK Sparklight Office is very unprofessional. Signed... I've been trying for weeks to get service at a new home. Every neighbor next to our house has service and the first 2 requests I submitted was just told I'm not serviceable. Finally on the 3rd request someone listened and added notes with the address of my neighbors. Suddenly my address became serviceable, but requires construction. A contractor called me a day later to tell me he's installing conduit to my house and all that need to be done is run the cable from the box on the corner up the conduit to the house. No word from Sparklight though, and 0 ways to contact anyone local, all I get is a runaround between 1-800 #'s where all I get told is it could be 4-6 weeks before the department in charge will contact you. Your non local customer service has to be some of the worst I've ever had to deal with. Why do you hide your local people and not allow any contact from the customer? read more

This company charged us a 198 and then another 30 for a technician to come out and do his job. They then turned around and charged another 30 plus 10 for the call AND A TRANSFER OF THEIR SERVICES.. I'm livid.. I called and put a request TRANSFER cause I needed internet for my job and they said they would call back, 2 WEEKS LATER, we had to call them. we've had service with sparklight for 20 plus years. not many options for service here. the main office is closed mondsy and only open a few hours a day. You cannot get any help issues unless you keep calling. I had issues with service for a YEAR not what I'm paying for and the main line was the issue every time. Still isn't resolved I just quit calling and trying to catch anyone at the office In Ardmore,ok. They get in NO rush to fix outages. We just had several tornadoes hit and 12,000 people had electricity restored with a day BUT days later still no internet or any time frame when it will be restored to 2,000 they said. ive had this service in three difference residents within the past 5 years. its the only option at the speeds they offer. the problem is that half of the time your internet will not work at all. service representatives show up whenever they want. when you ask for compensation for your internet not working the most they will refund you for is $50.00 because they claim that even though you cant use the service half the time, you still use data when it does work. how they come up w/ the figure $50.00 is a mystery. they should pay you $50.00 just for calling in and having to spend an hour troubleshooting. i cant imagine the amount of people in my home town that sparklight robs blind but i have a big mouth and im about to spread the word that at&t is the best choice for internet in ardmore, oklahoma and that sparklight has the biggest scam going on in my town! *update *no, i already tried to contact your customer service and it was a terrible experience. im satisfied w/ reliable at&t i hope the goid people of ardmore run you guys out of town. highway robbery shame on you read more

If I could give this company less than one star, I would. We switched providers because our former one didn't have the speed we needed to work from home. From the start, service has been sporadic. When you call for tech support, it is an automated system and takes you at least 30 minutes to put you in a waiting queue for a real person. After another long wait, you get to actually speak to someone. There is only one number to call for every issue, so you can never get through. I will say these workers have been extremely nice and did the best they could, but couldn't fix our issue. We have another tech appt tomorrow from 7am-8pm. Really?? We can call same number in the morning to pinpoint time. ‍‍‍ another hour of waiting to get through. We are basically paying a high price for nothing!!! read more

Cable One (now Sparklight) claims their 100 'channel' package is a bargain. Here's what they don't tell you. Over a dozen of the channels are over the air channels available without cable. Fifty, yes, 50! of the channels are 'music channels.' Not music videos, basically audio music stations with B grade music mixes over which you will have zero control. That leaves very, very few actual cable channels for the added expense. The $40 monthly basic cable is literally just over the air channels. read more

This is the absolute worst company imaginable. Do yourself a favor and do not sign up for their service! I wanted to give them no stars but apparently you have to give them something. Kind of like how you have to give them money for the worse internet possible. read more
