Employment/Recruitment Agencies such as AMPCUS.com are under constraints for fair business dealing…read more Forget the loop hole in our employment system which allows the rest of us to be practically conscripted like self-employed plow horses for short term contracting services while we are paid on W-2's without any of the benefits of self employment through these head-hunting agencies! The agencies themselves are not permitted to submit your resume to a perspective employer without your express permission!!! There is usually a right to represent form that must be prior executed. Ampcus does not follow this rule of law. A recruiter -- not mentioning a name, because I am a nice guy -- contacted me regarding a position in my expertise. I requested a rate and received a reply from Ampcus requesting my resume and no rate disclosure. I transmitted my resume and again requested pay rate. After a week of no response I contacted them by phone and found the rate to be far below market. They were obviously trying to make a huge profit off my labor and take a wide spread between what they were being contracted at by the employer and what they were paying out. This in and of itself is not illegal, although one might argue the level of ethics employed here. The substandard rate was slid to me verbally by the agent as if I had accepted it. Shortly after the conversation an email with a right-to-represent was transmitted with a note that I'd been "already" submitted prior to signing the RTR! Really? I emailed them back and DECLINED! Once an employer receives multiple submissions from different agencies ones likelihood of getting an interview sharply decreases. This is bad, if not illegal, business practice by AMCUS.com. Shame! I may have suffered damages. BEWARE OF AMCUS.com

Management needs a major house cleaning. I mean Code BROWN! (Ask a nurse)…read more Just like the Dump, DUMP, Dump everything must go! The directors and VPs cover for one another and dismiss one another's unprofessional behavior by lying, sidelining, and imploring devisive tactics that play employees against each other. A real check and balances system needs to be implemented. There are no gate keepers. Who is supervising the "overseer"? The overseer is tasked with ensuring the workers' productivity. However, the overseer micromanaged and spoke harshly to the workers. (Sn:This rating has NOTHING to do with race) The poor management has more to do with directors not having the emotional intelligence or current transferrable skills to lead a very small team in making collaborative, fair decisions based on empathy and genuine concern for the people under their direct report. If a "leader" is unable to put their very personal hurt feelings/bruised ego to the side, long enough to actively listen to their subordinates and make necessary changes, then they won't ever get higher than a 1 Star from me. That's sad because I never send food back to the kitchen. The work environment is toxic.
