I stopped into Bay Quest Souvenir Shop expecting to browse and shop, but unfortunately the…read moreinteraction with one employee made me very uncomfortable. She followed me around the store and, on two separate occasions, came up to me and said, "We're short staffed." I genuinely wasn't sure what she meant by that. The impression I got was that she didn't want me touching or looking through the shirts. After the second time, I finally asked, "Are you offering me a job?" She immediately backtracked with, "No, no, that's not what I meant..." but I still never really understood what she was trying to communicate. What bothered me most was that I didn't see her treating the other customers that way. I spoke with the manager before leaving, and she said she would address it, which I appreciated. Unfortunately, the experience left a bad enough impression that I won't be returning. There are plenty of other souvenir shops on the island where I can browse without feeling like I'm being monitored. Port Isabe/SPl has too many great places to shop to spend my vacation dollars somewhere I don't feel welcome. BEWARE OF FALSE INFORMATION! I went in to schedule notary services for a POA and a will. He (the…read moreowner) asked me the usual questions which is understandable considering a Power of Attorney is a serious document. AFter I explained the situation (and that it involved sale of a property and a possible lawsuit) he proceeded to ask questions about a lawsuit and that he needed to know this in order to decide if he was going to notarize the document. ONe has nothing to do with the other. He then informed me that the POA does NOT have to be filed with county but the will does. THIS IS FALSE. IN order for anyone to execute a POA IT HAS TO BE FILED WITH THE COUNTY CLERKS OFFICE. A WILL IS A PERSONAL DOCUMENT AND IS TO BE FILED AND EXECUTED UPON DEATH. RIDICULOUS. He grilled me about the source of the document which I downloaded via THE LIBRARY FROM LEGAL DEPOT. TOTAL MISINFORMATION ON LEGAL ISSUES. HE IS A DANGER TO THE PUBLIC IN GENERAL.
