They did replace a water heater but they did not perform a sewer line repair as agreed and they charged me for it. I discovered through a 3rd party inspection and then had to pay someone else to fix it. Hired for new construction plumbing project. Has not responded to multiple calls and texts and when responds, has provided us unrealistic timelines on when work will be complete. Has mentioned multiple times when he would arrive to complete work and still nothing. Was courteous and quick to respond when hiring but has received $3,614.50 of upfront money and has performed little to almost no work on the project. Two weeks have gone by and still nothing. Would rather receive a realistic expectation on when work can get started versus many ignored text messages and promises to show up. We have asked for refund and will await response. This review will be removed if our refund received. Anticipating a response to this review which will be "client had many delays on project which I waited for and this is their fault." It is true we have had some engineering changes to our retaining wall and grading which delayed our timeline but this has not impacted any of our other trades including our electrician who has shown up and responded to phone calls and text messages many times. TL;DR this person took my money to buy a heater i never received and eventually stopped responding. Manny Garcia, Plumbing License # m40711 charged us 3100 US dollars to order our water heater and that it would be ready within 2 to 3 weeks. After paying him, he said that he didn't realize that the company didn't have any water heaters on stock so they would have to manufacture and it would take a couple extra weeks. I asked him to send a copy of his purchase of the water heater to the manufacturing company, he agreed and then he never sent it after multiple phone calls, texts, and email reminders. On November 16, I contacted Manny for updates and he said he didn't have any information yet because he had the flu but he would get back to me. On Nov 20,  I contacted him again, and he did not answer my text message nor 2 phone calls over 2 days. My husband called from his phone 5 minutes after one of my calls to him and he immediately picked up. He told my husband he would call the water heater factory and get back to him. He never did. After not responding to multiple phone calls, on Dec 7 I texted "any updates"? And he did not respond. On Dec 15 I texted "any updates"? And he did not respond. On Dec 18, my husband called Manny and let him know,  if you don't deliver the water heater to us or refund our money, we will take actions. Manny said it's set in stone that the water heater will be delivered on December 31st. He did not show up nor respond to texts on Dec 30 nor Dec 31 regarding delivery. We have never heard from him since. We found him on thumbtack under the name "Austin House Pro's" I googled and found he has another a total of three company names. there were reviews left about him taking others money and them not receiving the product or service he promised. BEWARE!!!!!! Manny Garcia, owner of Titan Service, is a scam artist! He took over $9,500 of my money and never finished the work. I contracted him to remodel my master bath and replace flooring in hallway. We later added a few things to the second bath like change out countertop, move doorway, and paint cabinets. He told me this all would take 2-3 weeks. The first two weeks were great! We had a few delays with week 3-4 with him needing tile and flooring. Apparently it's hard to find these things in Corpus or Austin (where he also went looking). He was getting close to halfway done with my shower and said he needed to purchase the frameless glass door early since it took 6-8 weeks for delivery. He needed another check to pay for it. He would periodically send his guys to do a few hours of work but they didn't get much done when he wasn't with them. During this time, he kept asking if I wanted to replace my kitchen countertops to match the (soon to be) new bathroom countertops. I appreciated the work I saw so far (even though it was taking longer than expected) so I agreed to have him replace my kitchen countertops. He also said he needed to pay his granite guy in advance so he needed the money for that too. Soon after I paid him all kinds of weird things started to happen. He got bronchitis and couldn't work for a week or so. He had a family emergency in which he needed to leave to California for a week. He finally came to work for one day and then asked for more money to pay his guys. I started to feel uneasy with everything. I hesitated and only gave him a portion of what he was asking for. Every time I gave him money in the past, he would promptly send me a receipt via email. This time, he said his system was down and so he sent me a text with "acknowledgment" of payment. Then his work van was broken into and his tools were stolen. He sent me the police officers card and pictues to show he bought new tools. He took a week off again for that but during that time, one of his employees came to pick up his tile cutter from my house, I thought to take to another jobsite, however he apparently stole it because Manny never sent him to pick it up and he never showed up to work again. We then noticed several items were missing from my garage, which Manny and his employees had access to. They could've taken that at any point since we hardly go in there. These items totalled to thousands of dollars. I can't prove Manny or his guys took these but it doesn't look good. After I filed a police report and insurance claim, Manny showed up twice to do work. The last time he was only there for an hour and then abruptly left without saying a word. It was weird because he was only halfway done pouring the floor concrete for my shower when he left. He has not answered any of my texts, calls, or emails. I've been researching and found that he did a similar thing to other families and even under another company named Spartan Service. He is a horrible person with no conscience. I plan on suing for what he owes me and making a formal complaint against him with the Attorney General's Office and Better Business Bureau. I've come to the realization that I may not ever get back everything he took but if I can save anyone from this sorry excuse of a human being then that is worth something to me. Never trust anyone! Unfortunately, finding knowledgeable, reliable, prompt, courteous and friendly service in The Rio Grande Valley has historically been challenging, to say the least. However, Spartan Services (Manny) is the exception. I don't typically leave reviews, but after dealing with Manny, I was compelled to spread the good word. I can't recommend him (and his son) more highly. I don't think I will ever call anyone else for plumbing, a/c, or remodeling work. read more
