Treated my wife to a Mother's Day massage. She said it was just an ok place. I paid for the 90 minute but she said they bullshit a lot of the time by having you put on a robe giving you a tour and sitting in a waiting room. That shouldn't include my time. She said the massage itself wasn't bad although she expected to get her feet at least rubbed but the lady didn't even go near her feet. I mean I feel like a 90 minute massage should include the feet. I was going to purchase a membership if this went well but I don't spend that kind of money for just ok so we will try another massage place. read more

Best spa in the area for the service, price, and amenities! I found out about Spavia through Groupon and so glad I did. I enjoy getting massages and being pampered (who doesn't? lol), but also saving money. My go to source for massages have always been Groupon for great deals, that was until Spavia, the only place I have come back even without any Groupon deals. Their spa is equipped with a nice waiting room for before and after your service. There are books, teas, water (maybe even wine but I've never asked) for refreshment. Also, if you book one of their spa packages, it comes with lunch that catered by Potbelly in the same shopping area, which will be brought to this waiting room for your enjoyment. The locker/shower area is connected to the waiting room, but completely private with separation door. When you check in, they will show you around the locker area and how to use the combination lock, change into your rope/slippers. If there's time (which you should definitely show up about 30mins prior to your appointment), you can come back out to the waiting area for a heated neck pillow while sipping on some refreshment and waiting for your therapist to come and get you. Afterward, they have several showers with all the soap/shampoo, blow dryer and everything you need to freshen up. If you're a first time customer here, you have to fill out your profile and preferences. It's a bit long, but it's a one time thing and helps your give your therapists a good idea of what level of pressure you like, the scent of oil you prefer, or conversation preference. If you like to get massages often, definitely sign up for their membership program, which offers great discount on services for both yourself and additional friends/families if you choose so. Besides that, make sure to sign up for their emails or check their website for many offers that usually happen at least once or twice a month. read more

My husband surprised me with a massage and facial here which turned out to be amazing! Max did my facial and I can't recommend her enough! I'm so sad I live in Dallas and she's in Fort Worth - I might just have to make the drive! The only reason I didn't give them a full 5 stars is because I am almost 6 months pregnant and there was no wedge for me to lay on in a propped up position and after the first trimester you're technically not supposed to lay flat for more than a few minutes at a time. My visit was for a massage. I would have rescheduled had I known I was going to get half a** service from Liam. Note to patrons: DON'T GET YOUR MASSAGE DONE BY LIAM. He and I didn't vibe at all. I requested a 30 min massage bc this was my first time but when I mentioned that to Liam, he acted as though he wasn't trained for that. #BlankStare I asked if he could focus on my back and neck. More #BlankStares. Sensing that I threw his regular program out of whack, I asked if he could start with my front and focus on my neck and shoulders (then get my back in prone pos...he said, no. In my haste to post I failed to mention anything about the actual massage. It was comparable to someone lubing up and rubbing their hairy forearm over my back and elbowing me from behind while applying pressure to my rib cage with said forearm. *Update* Came to Spavia last Sunday, it was my second visit. I saw Reed again and she was great as usual! I had the age defense facial again but this time added on the warm oil scalp treatment. It was SO NICE! For starters who doesn't love a scalp massage?! And the oil made my hair so soft! I slept with the oil in my hair that night (was a suggestion from one of the estheticians) and I'm so glad I did because my hair looks and feels so healthy. I got my hair cut yesterday (three days later) and my stylist even commented on how great my hair looked! I think I'm going to make it a point to come in every other month for this treatment! After multiple services, I continue to be disappointed. I have had several facials and they are never thorough. Three facials in a row left me with make up still in my nose crease after completing the full facial. My last facial was extremely rushed and she even said "oh, it's so crazy today", slapping things on and wiping them off. The waxing is a joke. The first time, I chalked it up to bad lighting, but I was left with all kinds of strays in both my brows and upper lip. So, on the next attempt, I told them about the strays on my last service and that I wanted to check the wax when they finished. The rooms are very dark, so when they give you the mirror to check, you really can't see, but I was able to point out 3 patches of strays that were missed! She touched those up and when I got home, I plucked out an another 14 strays, which is unbelievable! What really made my blood boil was that I booked an appointment online for 2 separate services on the same day. I arrived at the spa for my appointment and they parked me in the "relax room". I waited 25 minutes - well past the time of my appointment - and went back to the front desk. She told me that I had another 25 minutes to wait because I had come in so early. I showed her my confirmation and she found out that SOMEONE CHANGED MY APPOINTMENT AND DIDN'T TELL ME. So I wasted an hour of my life waiting around to experience a rushed facial and a terrible lip wax. At that point I canceled my membership and THEY CHARGED ME FOR AN ADDITIONAL MONTH even though I had subpar services and was clear that I was not returning. read more

If you're looking for an amazing "spa experience" or a massage, please check this place out!!! I visited Spavia for the first time yesterday. I had received a gift card for a massage at this location so I decided to book a 100 minute deep tissue massage with Bernadette (it was definitely needed). My entire experience was pure bliss, from the moment I walked in the door til the moment I left. All of the receptionists were so kind and full of knowledge, and Bernadette worked her magic and my painful knots that I had in my back are gone. I'm sure it'll take a couple more times for them to actually be "gone" but I feel 1000 times better with my back and shoulders not being in any unbearable pain. If you're one for more firm to deep pressure, I definitely recommend her. With me being a new client, I had to fill out some paperwork on am iPad and I loved that I had options to choose from. I could choose the music, the scent of lotion, and even if I wanted conversation or silence!! All of this was included with the massage, no additional fees for those, which was so nice. I definitely will be returning to this location for all my massages now. I may even try to go back for some of their plenty of other services they offer!! They also mentioned some of the plans and such that they have and I think I love them even more so because they're more affordable than most "chains"/big massage companies and their contracts seem easy to get out of if you can't continue it for some reason. I was told they only need a 3 month minimum, which is so much better than another company (who shall not be named) with their 6 month to a year minimum!! Oh and when I booked online, the entire process was super easy and they seemed to have a lot of availability, most likely due to them having plenty of massage therapists. read more

I went back and forth on posting because my massages and facials were always top tier. The reason I'm choosing to give them a three out of five stars are because of their cancellation policy. I had signed up to get charged monthly for their signature series which would provide me one service monthly for that service and a discounted rate for any other services I choose. Well I moved and had to cancel which all went fine. I had two remaining services I hadn't used by the time of cancellation and they said I would still be credited with those since I had already paid for them. At the time they did not disclose that attached to that was a time limit of 30 days. So a few days ago I told my mom hey let's drive back into the area and get facials because I have two I never used. Mind you this is just three months later. Needless to say when I called to make an appointment for us, I was told those were no longer available. Why not just honor a service for a customer that was otherwise pleased with my service. It just seemed like it was a missed opportunity to keep a customer who was pleased with your services. read more

I waited 45 minutes for the "owner/manager" to finish eating her dinner before she would speak with me. My friend and I wanted to explore Dallas in a relaxing way so of course we yelped some Spa locations that had good reviews. So, we made an appointment at SpaVia for one massage and one facial, we both wanted to get massages or both facials but there was no availability for the both of us at the same time. So, I ended up getting a facial and my friend got the 90 minute massage. When you check in the lobby you get a friendly greeting and a couple forms to fill out, takes approximately 15 minutes depending on the service you are getting. The thing I liked most was that the survey asked if you wanted a conversation or no conversation, which is amazing because some people talk way too much - how am I suppose to relax and fall asleep if you're talking to me the entire time? :) I was already liking SpaVia just from the questionnaire, there were also questions related to the firmness of massages which is helpful. Also a section that we could select the lotion smell and they had small samples there for us to smell. The next test was for the person to actually follow through and read your notes and apply your requests. So, we get the tour, it's quite small and they don't have much amenities, just the basics, bathroom, a sitting area with some luke warm tea water and small set of teas. I wasn't really impressed with the facility, there was a couch though so at least we could wait comfortably. When I walked in to get my facial I had requested for the vitamin C facial. The room was dimly lit like fancy spa locations, the bed was warm and had nice linens. The facial was amazing, my facialist (is that a word?) Reed was so perfect with her touch on my face, on reviewing my issues and noting my level of conversational engagement (which was requested to be limited unless it had to do with my face). She made me feel sooooo relaxed, so much so that I fell asleep even though I tried to fight it I was feeling so good I couldn't resist it. When my 60 minutes was up, I was glowing and feeling so rejuvenated. Reed offered me a cup of water, and also later gave me the option of some wine or hot tea. I waited a little bit for my friend and she came out saying it was the best massage she had. So, with that, the service was superb, it was worth the price even without all the other spa amenities because the staff made us more relaxed compared to other places we have gone to with all the shinanigans. I was already ready to give SpaVia a five star review, but hadn't had the chance to write something down yet. Then, just yesterday I received a pretty little card in the mail - lo and behold it was a thank you note from Reed?! Thank you so much for your outstanding service and fantastic follow-up! I feel extra special that you took the time to remember me, I definitely remember you! I have wrestled with posting this. I was scheduled for a double Mastectomy the next day and wanted to relax. I called and they got me in right away. The girls at the front desk were so sweet and helpful. The place was beautiful and everything I hoped a spay would be; from the robe and slippers to the hot neck wrap and drinks. The changing rooms were very nice and included a shower. Here's where my trouble began. Liam! Worst massage in my life. He was my therapist and I don't believe he was paying attention in school. I told him why I was there and I said I had some knots I wanted to work out, but I also needed to relax. He started on my breast tissue and it was very painful and I told him to stop. Every time I told him that it hurt he would say sorry and then his pressure would go right back to hard again. He was more concerned about what he wanted to do in the future using trigger point therapy than giving me the massage I asked for. I was upset but it was my choice at the time not to say anything. I had way to much on my mind. The only reason I'm being so hard on him is I want him to learn to listen to his clients. I'm a therapist from Oklahoma and have nothing against him. I just hope he takes his passion of massage and takes classes. Including learning focus on the clients wants and needs (remember just because their body might need it doesn't mean the client wants it). Listen and stay consistent. This was the best massage I've ever had! Got a Groupon deal for an 80 minute massage with Emily Evans. I need a firm touch, so I wasn't sure if I would get that when I met Emily (who is quite petite). She COMPLETELY surprised me! She could just sense all my problem areas (like my knotted up shoulders), and was great about checking in with me on how I was doing. I loved that I was able to choose the lotion, the music, even the conversation level!! A lot of times I feel like I'm being forced to talk..but Emily was really sweet and made me feel comfortable with talking when I wanted to. I also got the hot oil scalp massage. It feels like a warm, really great shampoo session with the hair stylist. In fact, the only thing that could have improved the experience was if we could end it with a shampoo session, because cold oil dripping down my face after the massage was the only bad part the entire time! Like others have mentioned, the lavender neck warmers are a dream. Your beverage of choice is waiting for you when you exit the room. And, you can take your time showering and getting back to reality. Good thing, because it'll take you some time! read more

From walking in and getting greeted by the front desk girls to changing into a robe and slippers and enjoying some relax time before my appointment it's all good! This time I opted for a vita c radiance facial from Monse ... she has previously done my waxing and is amazingly fast and great at that... I don't often get facials because I have sensitive skin and can break out - but she assured me this was a wonderful facial and it was very relaxing and moisturizing ---this made me look younger ! I have been to a lot of massage places but none as wonerfully amazing at this place! They offer you a warm neck pillow as soon as you walk in the door. They take you to a special changing area and give you a robe and sandals to change into and then they escort you to a retreat room where you get to relax and enjoy tea and snacks before and after your massage. This was a bday treat from my mom. I received a signature massage,sugar glow "scrub",basic facial and foot enhancement.the lounge is relaxing the tea is soothing. Even a gentle SCRUB would have been ok but The sugar mix was applied and after cold water was Poured on me the scrub basically washed away then i was just really rubbed with water and whatever oils were left on my skin i told her the water was cold and she said she tries to heat it as much as she can.. I was really disappointed because this scrub what what i was really looking forward to most due to my dry flakey skin. The lady at the front (not the receptionist) told me "its how their product works it melts on the skin" i dont think she was listening to me when i said water was poured on me and it washed it away basically, i really felt she didnt care that i was disappointed.If this is how its always done i dont feel like it should be called a "scrub". I just had my second facial with Reed today, and I was reminded of what an amazing job she does! She makes it a very relaxing experience. She's very sweet and did a great job. She listened to my complaints (occasional redness on my cheeks and sensitive skin), and she helped decide what kind of facial to do based on my complaints (she recommended the Vitamin C facial). She didn't try to sell me any extra products or services (as I've noticed other spas will frequently do), which I appreciated. Fantastic! I had a 60 minute massage, and it was definitely one of the best I've ever had. The massage itself was great, but I noticed a high level of attention to detail throughout the experience.
