Head unit could not be replaced so we had to work around that with various components. Their recommended components weren't cheap but the quality was good. I don't know stereos from a hole in the ground but knew I wanted it to sound better than my mediocre factory unit. Tried to get a system to match the Bose ten-speaker system in the higher-trim version of the car I had, but it would have been prohibitively expensive to do the extensive body modifications. When they finished up they told me they didn't install two particular components because they found the system worked fine without them. Appreciated the honesty (and $ savings). When I first tried out the new system in their parking lot I was a bit underwhelmed and got grumpy. The installer could hear the difference but I couldn't. But later discovered it was mainly because the source music recording had rather limited dynamic range to begin with. Soon after on the way home I played some music of higher sonic quality and I could REALLY tell the difference then! Big time! So I felt a little sheepish about how unenthusiastic I was when I first got the car back from them, especially considering how much extra effort it took them to deal with that make/model car. It's been 13 months since then and I'm still happy. (I don't write Yelp reviews until I've lived with the product/service for a while.) Sound system doesn't get ear-shatteringly loud like I expected it should, but at my age perhaps that's for the best. I'd definitely return to them for other work and recommend others to do the same.

This has to be the biggest scam operation in Memphis, and I mean that sincerely. It started when they sold me a kit that, as I later found out, they already knew was defective before it ever left the store. Not a manufacturing fluke -- they knew going in and sold it to me anyway. When I brought it back to return it, I was met with nothing but runaround after runaround. Excuse after excuse, delay after delay, until finally they landed on: "sorry, we can only give store credit." Here's the problem -- nowhere on my receipt, nowhere in writing, does it say their policy is store credit only. They just decided that after the fact, once it was convenient for them. And honestly, what exactly did they think I'd want to buy with store credit at a place that just sold me a broken product? More overpriced, inferior merchandise from the same shop that scammed me the first time? On top of the shady return policy, the staff were unprofessional and clearly undertrained. Their "technicians" couldn't even properly diagnose the issue, let alone fix it. My husband, on the other hand, walked in, took one look at it, and solved the problem in a heartbeat -- no training, no toolbox full of excuses, just common sense and know-how. Honestly, they should be hiring him instead of whoever they've got back there now. Save yourself the money, the time, and the headache. Don't shop here. If you're in Memphis and need this kind of work done right, go to Stereo One instead. Professional, honest, and they won't try to trap your money in store credit for a product they knew was garbage from the start. Do not shop here. You've been warned.

They have a cool little waiting area for you to hang out in if you decide to stay and wait on your vehicle while it's being worked on. It takes about two hours to do the work. My car was $260 plus tax for the tint. I didn't shop around so I'm not sure if that is a good price or not.
