For food, the quesadillas are great. We also loved the buffalo dip. The fried mushrooms were not our favorite. The s'mores cake was an 8/10. We had an absolutely amazing time watching the show and stunts and the food was very surprisingly good! I would like to personally shout out the bar staff tonight July 13, I know it was Sarah, Sebastian and one other girl that also started with an s I can not remember her name. But they were amazing, extremely friendly and went above and beyond with their service. As a first time visitor they made me feel incredibly welcome to the show and provided fantastic recommendations as well as solutions for any small issues that arrived. For sure will be back for my yearly celebration due to this staff!! If you are looking for a wonderful show, decent dinner and true hospitality from staff, definitely come to pirates.

The show itself was spectacular! Stunts, sound and water effects, and a lot of crowd interactive type of competitions. I loved that the crowd was divided into different teams. Our server was so nice and attentive to our needs. We chose not to upgrade our meals (it was like $20/extra per person if we wanted steak instead of chicken), but we were impressed with the 3 course meal! It started with a Caesar salad, followed with chicken accompanied by veg and mashed potatoes, and finishing with a brownie. The chicken straight up fell off of the bone. I was also served like half of a whole chicken (I had to take some home because I was so full). It was cooked way better than I thought it would be. You can purchase appetizers after you get you salad for an extra cost. The drinks are good but can be expensive. If you're looking for a less expensive alcohol option, definitely ask about using their house liquor. I had to ask them 3 times for them to actually tell me it was like a $9 difference between getting it with their house vs premium liquor. I will say that anything you get from the bar or as an appetizer that cost extra already includes 15% gratuity. Nobody will tell you it does, but it will be written on the appetizer menu in a very light colored font. What I think is a little BS is that although gratuity is included for those, it isn't included for the server who is serving you the whole night. But none of this negatively affected my experience, I just want to make you all aware of this! I would come back for sure with some family who hasn't seen the show.

They also have a full bar, which makes it even better because you can sip your drink while enjoying the show. The atmosphere is lively and perfect for all ages, so you can bring the whole family and still have a great time. Prices are reasonable for what you get, especially with both food and entertainment included. Plus, it's conveniently located near ICON Park on International Drive. Definitely recommend if you want something different and fun for a night out! The service was exceptional

The atmosphere is definitely the highlight, and we were really excited to finally experience it since we had tried to dine here on multiple previous visits to Disney World but could never get a reservation. Unfortunately, the experience didn't live up to the anticipation. They were already running behind schedule when we arrived early for our reservation, and we still had to wait at least 30 minutes past our reservation time to be seated. We were offered a regular table instead of a car, which they apparently offer to walk-ins, but we wanted the full "drive-in experience". Once we saw the inside, I'm glad we passed because the tables in the back looked like small, somewhat run-down patio furniture and would have taken away from what makes this restaurant special. Once seated, the car setup was really cute, but the restaurant itself felt like it could use some better upkeep. Our table and menus were sticky, which was disappointing considering the overall Disney experience you expect. There are two rows of booth style seating in the cars which you share with another party as a party of two. With two adults, the seating felt cramped. The food and service were the bigger letdowns. Service was very slow, and the food was overpriced for what we received. My Grilled Chicken Citrus Salad, which is normally a dish I really enjoy at other restaurants, was particularly disappointing here. Overall, the food just wasn't very good and didn't feel like it justified the price, even with the expected Disney markup. The lunch and dinner menus also feature the same items at the same prices. Another missed opportunity is the on-screen entertainment. Disney has access to so many beloved movies, cartoons, and shorts, yet the clips shown here felt like they could have been much more fun and varied. With such an amazing library of Disney content, it seems like there is so much more they could do with the screen and the drive-in concept. The concept is fantastic, and the car booths are genuinely cute and fun. Unfortunately, the execution just wasn't there for us. After wanting to experience this restaurant for so long, we're glad we finally got to see what it was all about--but based on the slow service, poor upkeep, disappointing food, and high prices, it would be a once-and-done experience for us.

The energy from the performers is contagious, and they do a fantastic job getting the audience involved, making the show feel interactive and unique. The food was delicious, and you definitely won't leave hungry since it's all-you-care-to-enjoy. Everything was served family-style, and there was plenty to go around, making it a great value on top of the entertainment. My biggest piece of advice? Save room for the strawberry shortcake! It's the perfect sweet ending to an already fantastic meal. If you're looking for a classic Disney experience that's filled with laughs, music, and great food, Hoop-Dee-Doo is absolutely worth adding to your itinerary. While it's probably a one-and-done experience for me personally, I'm so glad I've done it--not just once, but twice. Arriving in Fort Wilderness, the check-in process is very drawn out and poorly executed. It's amazing how simple every other restaurant in Disney can be. If you want your Annual Pass discount, you'll have to deal with a second long line. We were originally excited for a second floor seat, but the layout is just annoying. Swivel chairs line the railing, so you turn out toward the wall to eat and spin back around in a tight area to watch the show. The food could've saved the day being all you can eat and comfort foods. But the servers brought it out in the middle of the acts.. when it's pitch black and we are swiveled around... so it was cold by the time you were ready to eat. The all you can eat was accommodated by the server bringing out a full tray of each item and plopping down one or two items on each of their tables. The cast makes a huge deal with a musical number about the dessert... Strawberry Shortcake.. but it was honestly not the best dessert option. The show was definitely cute and old timey - with the whole place joining in a chorus of This Land Is Your Land and corny jokes, but I would highly suggest you leave as soon as you finish dessert. They hand out washboards and serving spoons to every table... which turns into a nightmare of banging and unnecessary showboating to gain attention from the characters. Was it worth marking off the experience? Yes. Would I suggest anyone venture to do it? No.

We were celebrating my granddaughter's fifth birthday, my grandchildren enjoyed the resort, and we were grateful to be in Florida making family memories. Those happy moments deserve acknowledgment--but so do the problems. The property is beautiful, the family amenities are thoughtfully planned, and the pool is the heart of the fun. The hot tub and convenient location were highlights, too. However, there were real cracks beneath the beautiful aesthetics. We initially stayed in a two-bedroom villa in Building 7. It felt dated, the carpet was visibly dirty, the garbage disposal did not work, and the space smelled very damp. We went out and purchased Lysol and a moisture-absorbing product to try to make it more comfortable. That should not be on a guest's vacation shopping list. There was also excrement left in the primary bathroom toilet when we arrived. It took more than two hours and a second phone call before someone came to clean it. Later, while I was showering, my mother saw an unidentified animal inside her bedroom. We ended up relocating after the first night from the two-bedroom villa to a smaller suite. Given these issues and the change in accommodations, we expected a price adjustment or some gesture acknowledging the inconvenience. No compensation was offered--not even covering parking. Checkout brought more frustration. We had questions about the room-price difference and the balance we expected back after incidental charges. The front desk gave an explanation involving our third-party booking, but it was not clear to us and did not resolve our concerns. No manager was brought over to help. We left feeling unheard. The food and drinks we tried were not a highlight, either. My apple martini was nothing to write home about. I can appreciate the wonderful time my grandchildren had and still be honest about where the resort fell short. A beautiful pool does not replace a clean, well-maintained room or attentive service when things go wrong. Auntie D's rating: Three out of five forks. Beautiful family memories--but the guest experience needs to match the scenery.
