I do not and was shocked to see about 8-10 other patients being treated in the same small store-front office. There are no private spaces--the treatment tables are literally a foot or two apart. What's more, they called to cancel my first appointment with no explanation. When I finally arrived for my rescheduled one, I was given redundant paper and iPad forms to fill out. I then had to compete with three other waiting patients for a chair in the waiting area (there are only two). My PT seemed friendly but she totally misdiagnosed my injury and did not help me feel better.

She listened to my needs and took everything I said seriously. She was instrumental in finally getting my diagnosis because she noticed a specific issue that previous therapists had missed. It's nearly impossible to find therapists this knowledgeable and experienced who also take the time to understand their patient's body and tailor the session to fit individual needs. The folks at 1st Class PT have greatly increased my quality of life. I'm in far less pain, get much better sleep, and am doing better in a myriad of ways. I've worked with Amid a few times too, and he's also amazing. He's deeply invested in his patients' wellbeing, and I always notice how delighted they are to see him. Seanette at the front desk is a godsend. She goes above and beyond -- whether it's dealing with my insurance or my PCP's office to confirm they sent that referral. The staff is very friendly, treat me well, accommodate my needs, and make physical therapy feel less like a chore. I don't know where I'd be without them! ‍ The staff here are LGBT+ friendly and IMO competent with trans bodies.

Well as expected, I was overcharged and have been spending the last 3 months chasing for my money back. They never ever get back to me and every time I call to follow up they will say they are checking with the manager. I'm not sure why it takes so long to issue a refund. STAY AWAY.

The PT's are usually busy with multiple patients and extremely inattentive. They have curtains that don't fully close, which means lack of privacy. The PT's spend a lot of time talking and gossiping with each other, or sitting down at a table working while they have clients. On multiple occasions I finished with an exercise and it took 5-10 minutes for the PT to check on me. Usually I ended left early because I felt like the PT really didn't care and was too busy engaging in conversation with their colleagues. I came to my last appointment on time and the PT was busy eating lunch or something. Not sure she was even there because she didn't come out. They wanted me to start on the elliptical, without checking to see if I still had pain, which I did, and the machine would only exacerbate the injury. I immediately left.

I…read moredecided to come here after I developed pain in my right thumb after using an ergonomic mouse for a few months. I also had some older issues (legs, feet, back) that I wanted to work on. My thumb pain ceased between the first and second sessions. However, the approach to my other issues were pretty obviously an attempt to drag out treatment and keep me coming back for as long as possible. My second session wasn't even a full hour (yet I still paid full price) and I was given one (!!) stretch to do at home after my third--just a basic hamstring stretch. I'm an active person and I don't have limited mobility in my legs, or anything that would warrant such a timid approach. (I went in the morning, which is when everyone's body is stiffer than usual...is that what mislead him?) I also did some exercises with bands during that third session, and I asked if I should do those at home as well (since I have bands at home), and was told I should focus on one thing at a time...I'm all for being careful, but it was just too suss. I canceled the rest of my sessions after that. When I canceled, the front desk person made a big deal out of the fact their treatments had stopped my thumb pain as proof that their approach works as is better than other PTs. Well...it's a thumb. It's a tiny part of the body. I would've canceled and found a different PT if the pain had continued after the second session! Another big complaint is that the PT did not write down any of the exercises. (I had to ask him to make a video of the stretches for my thumb.) The last PT I went to at this price point had an app where you could count reps and see someone performing the exercise properly. I'm not someone who loves apps or needs them for everything, but it was extremely convenient and helped me get better much faster. Also, the website advertises Hyperice massages/treatments during each visit and I got ZERO.

Everyone is so friendly but also very professional, attentive, and knowledgeable. I don't feel like I am left on a machine or to just do exercises alone - someone is always nearby providing guidance and instruction and they do direct work on me every session which I haven't always found at other places. The facility itself is also extremely clean and well-maintained and equipped. Very happy that I found them.

2026 update!!! It's been a while, I moved away for a bit, and then when I moved back they were kind…read moreof far from me & I'm broke. But I threw out my back & I've had it with the steroid injections & bs. So I spoiled myself. They just reopened on Willoughby in Bushwick and oh my lanta!!!! It's a much more intimate space than they had 10 years ago, when you go for the community option I think there's only three beds now. Not only does the bed heat up, but the wonderful Dr Patchi put a heating lamp on my back for my cramps. LUXURY I swear this was a spa like experience! Patchi is super warm & chill, and SO intuitive with her hands. She also used a tens unit which I completely love. She is so so so skilled, and that excellent skill is overshadowed in the best way by her warmth. When we were done I slowly sat up and stretched my back a bit, and felt pops where I've been really needing to feel pops! She also did some needling for an ankle I broke last year that I'm still healing, and I'm really impressed by how much that worked. Of course it isn't magic, I still have cramps and my back is still rough, but both are much much much more manageable after just one session. I was tipped off to a pay what you can day coming up soon, and I really really really appreciated that (& immediately booked a spot). Being broke sucks, this economy sucks, looking for a job sucks, and it sucks even more when you feel like you're being judged for not having much money (esp since Bushwick is turning snooty). That tip was such a compassionate move, and it's so kind that they're having to pay what you can day!!!
