In the past, I was limited in flexibility by muscle tightness/pain that was often times brought on by my work and running/cycling activities. Not only have I regained mobility and strength after repetitive shoulder injuries prior to starting Pilates, I have also gained flexibility, muscle control, better posture and core strength that has increased my athletic performance tremendously. She makes working out particularly challenging but also exciting in a way that makes me want to do pilates all the time. She is very skilled at assessing what you need to focus on and then choosing exercises and making corrections that are both challenging and engaging. I find that this is a workout that is sustainable and does not lead to injuries in the way that other sports (especially repetitive motions) can. Hands down, I would recommend Specialized BodyWorks to anyone, specifically, with the aesthetician Gaby Apostol. I absolutely love her! The first time I saw Gaby was about five months ago, and I could tell she was different. I've always had problems with my skin (acne and scarring), and she truly takes the time to look at your skin and come up with a plan of attack that works best for you - not just a general by-the-book sort of routine. She sees your problem areas and makes treatment suggestions based on what they are. When I go see her, I usually don't have a certain facial treatment in mind. I just let her tell me what needs improvement, and we go from there. (That's TRUST!) I've consistently seen only Gaby, and my skin feels and looks so much better. Each time I leave, I'm already excited to see her again because I know my skin is only going to look better and better. Gabby is absolutely incredible! She has been doing my facials (and waxing) for almost a year, and I wouldn't ever go to someone else. I started with terrible breakouts. And having tried everything possible, I broke down and started doing monthly facials.
