I sent an e-mail and finally got a response from Sandy. When I arrived for my first class, Sandy was blatantly "measuring me up" and making me feel uncomfortable and unwelcome. She was more concerned if I was going to continue with a regular membership or only use the Groupon for 3 classes. Her demeanor was cold, condescending and indifferent, and she made me feel uncomfortable. I was trying to be inviting and light hearted, but her responses were sterile and demeaning. At the end of class she asked for payment and stated, in a "Holier-than-thou" manner, that she had never used Groupon before. I have never before felt so humiliated by someone who works in the service industry. I am Puerto Rican woman and she exhibited every trait of a racist individual. If you are a "Non-White", I would advise you stay away from here.

Unfortunately, when I moved to The Woodlands, I seriously injured my knee in a fall. After two years, I was ready to get back to Yoga. I was incredibly disappointed in the Gentle Yoga class on Thursdays. Unlike other classes, the instructor started with a meditation rather than stretching and preparing for the practice. She constantly talked about health research, her favorite poses, etc., which was, frankly, very annoying during practice. The poses were not demonstrated with the variations needed for those of us who had injuries from the past. Nor did she take the time and help individuals. Shavasevna is not the time for more guided meditation. There's a reason why Shavasevna is considered one of the most difficult poses in Yoga. It is impossible to relax and center yourself when someone is telling you to relax. The worst part of the whole experience is that my knee injury flared again. Probably because I was not properly stretched or helped with the more difficult poses. My search for the elusive perfect Gentle Yoga class continues......

I really enjoy the fact that its smaller and you don't feel like you are working out with the masses of humanity. There are always a variety of machines and equipment available no matter what time I have gone in. The gym is always super clean and the staff is always helpful and friendly. I am not a person who has ever loved to work out or a considered myself gym rat, but this gym makes working out a pleasant experience.

It's a small gym, but it has a real family vibe where everyone no matter age or fitness level feels welcome. The only factor that keeps me from giving it a 5 is that the only weight equipment for legs and glutes is a squat rack. I would love leg press, leg extension, and leg curl equipment.

The atmosphere is totally chill and feels like a second home- where made gains can be made!! Their equipment is super nice. My favorite part is the turf area which allows for H.I.T training, jumping rope, etc. and it's low impact so I don't have to worry about injuries or high impact on my knees/ ankles. I've taken Pilates reformer and loved it. This studio is not only inviting, but experienced and knowledgeable as well. A great combo for a place to spend your time working on your body-mind-spirit. Being able to push myself in a warm boutique environment with someone to ask questions to constantly, if I need to, makes me love Pilates even more. And it works for me because of foot surgery last year to remove the arthritis between my toes and the main part of my feet. I cannot put weight directly on top of the balls of my feet. In reformer it's still weight training but with no impact to my feet. It's the only thing that I've found to work for me and it's changing my body every week. So happy that I found this studio.
