I am new to the area and was pleased to find a pharmacy so close to me. I have been in need of my medication for months now since this there is a national shortage. After inquiring at 15 or so other pharmacies - I was excited that this location had it in stock! I spoke to a very pleasant gentleman and we talked about the shortage and reasons it was hard to come by and he instructed me to have my Doctor send my script to the location so that he could fill it for me in chewable form. The next day I wanted to check on its status and I called in. A woman answered and she told me that it had not been filled yet and I asked when it would be ready. She responded with "is this telemedicine?" I said yes...and she said THEY DO NOT FILL TELEMEDICINE prescriptions?!? How does this make sense? I have been on the medication for years and I have NEVER heard of this or had an issue with this at any other pharmacy. read more

I completely understand the concern with the opioid crisis especially here in Florida. I have been on the exact same medication and same dosage for over 30 years so I have a lot of medical records and notes verifying my responsible and necessary usage. I have since found a pharmacy, but I just have to tell you how unbelievably nasty this woman was to me when I went to see if I could transfer all of my prescriptions after moving from out of state...across the country actually. This woman with a thick new York accent, refused to give me the time of day and gave me side glances while helping someone else as if I was a drug addict or dealer. Being on these medications is not by choice. Sadly, they are a necessity for my function. I already feel shame about it, but to be vocally shamed in front of other customers was absolutely humiliating. She very rudely said, "you are not a current customer. I can't help you!" I wish I got her name but apparently she's one of the only ones there. The owners daughter maybe? I don't know, but I was utterly disgusted by the woman's behavior. Compassionate care? Definitely NOT here. It's taken me over a year to write this review because I was so humiliated and admitting you need a controlled substance in public is not easy. But I do hope this helps other people like me. These new laws have done nothing but make it impossible for patients who really rely on this pain relief to live a normal life. I have felt abandoned and dismissed. I know I can't be the only one who is struggling with this. I am just relieved that I finally found a place that cares. read more

I highly recommend Specialty Care Pharmacy. The staff (Avi, Veronica and Joe) are always so helpful and welcoming. They are extremely knowledgeable and professional. Avi and his team genuinely care about you as a person and your individual health care needs. They go above and beyond for their patients. For example, one evening I was running late to pick up my prescription. I was about to head home because I knew I wouldn't make it before they closed, but called and explained my situation. They told me to take my time and that they would wait for me so that I could pickup my prescription. Hands down, the best customer service!! read more

I've been a customer for years and have 0 to complain about. They treat you like family as soon as you walk in the door and will always offer advice as far as prescriptions are concerned. If you put aside the friendly nature that the staff provides for a moment the second reason to send them your business is time. I had already gone to multiple Walgreens/CVS's/Publix pharmacies to have a rx filled that I get filled once a month, but they all said they were out of stock and/or that the medication was on back order. I saw Specialty Care Pharmacy as I was about to give up and go home and on a hope and a prayer thought maybe a local pharmacy might be able to help...not only were they able to fill my prescription but the wonderful pharmacist said they plan ahead and order enough for their customers who they know have monthly medication needs, and that from now on they'll order enough for me so I never have to do this run around ever again!!! Great customer service, hometown neighborhood feel to the store which is stocked with all the necessities, I just don't have enough nice things to say!! I discovered this pharmacy through a flyer in my mailbox shortly after they opened. Friendly staff, convenient hours, and ample parking. It's not as big as some of the chain pharmacies, but they carry most of the essentials. I find the wait time much shorter here than some of the other places I've gone to, which is always a plus. They can also ship/deliver some medications for those that perhaps don't want to come in as often. They make an effort to know customers' names, and the interactions are always friendly and courteous. And the parking--I mentioned it earlier, but I have to emphasize it again because it's so nice not to have to walk 5-10 min in the rain when you're already congested and sniffling! read more

The owner of this company apparently does not care about its patients. The lady that I spoke to on the phone, Veronica, is very kind and helpful, there was only so much that she could do... The delivery Courier claimed to have delivered my medicine to my doorstep, but I never received it. In fact, I have a doorbell camera that shows no one coming up to my door on that date or time... Nevertheless, the owner has chosen to side with the Courier, insinuating that I as the patient am lying about not having received the medicine that I need. He did not even return the message that I left with Veronica to even tell me that he will not send me my medicine. I had to find this out by following up after not having any medicine at all for 5 days now without notice. read more

Several Walgreens, A Publix and several CVS within a 5 mile radius did not have the prescription that was needed. I found this Specialty Care Pharmacy on google and was also expecting that they wouldn't have it. To my surprise they did and they were very friendly. The pharmacy tech took the script in and said it would be just a few minutes. Then the owner (pharmacist) checked me out. He was very helpful and friendly! He spent the time to discuss questions with me. If you like to get personalized service then this is the place to go. They do take insurance and they also compound scripts. Moved to boca recently and had a lot of trouble w Walgreens repeatedly which was pretty unbelievable. I wanted to help support an independent local pharmacy instead, and specialty care was the right choice! They are friendly and accommodating and give you the feel you're living in a small town where everyone is actually still nice to each other.
