They will go wherever you need them too! They are VERY thorough during the inspection not leaving anything else to possibly check. The Insepction Report is very detailed and easy to read so there is no question about what may be something to consider when making the purchase. When I called to enquire about pricing and scheduling my call was answered on the second ring and I was able to schedule my appointment for that very week. I feel that the flexibility they provide is a huge priority. Never once was I made to feel that I needed to conform to their preferred time. Both Dale and Dan are very personable and very comfortable to be around. They want you to be included in all aspects of your purchase. Doug Lauffer is the best home inspector I've ever used in 30 years of building! We recently had…read moredealings with a lender and they sent out THERE inspector. Well, he was of the extra large variety and would NOT go up on the roof to inspect! We have always covered our Skylight with a tarp to keep the sunny from heating our kitchen. The "inspector" saw the tarp from tge ground and assumed it was a damaged roof! He even took pictures of the inside clearly showing the Skylight and never put it together in his head as to what it was! So, the lender required us to have a separate roof inspection solely based on his report saying the roof looks damaged! So I put a request on yelp for inspectors to contact me. Several did but they couldn't come out for a week. But Doug of Lauffner Home Inspections here in Spokane actually texted and said he could come that night!! I didn't check my messages because it was late but when I did and saw it I replied immediately. He was very kind and said he could come out the next morning. At 9 am sharp he arrived and is a very nice guy who us very easy to talk too. He cl8mbed the roof and together we pulled off the tarp exposing the wonderful original to the home, Skylight! We got our report tgat night and it was very easy to resend it to the lender. We thought all was done but nope! Doug had showed me 2 ventilation pipes that were supposed to be 6 inches high and mine were only 4. He said in his report that no work was needed to be done as he advised me what to do and I could do it later. But the lender who says jump and we say how high, required ANOTHER inspection just to prove that these repairs were done! I literally fixed them that night and called Doug. He was so gracious and said he would come out the next day and would not charge us!! How's that for a great businessman! Listen, if you need any kind of home inspection to be done especially if you need it right away, you have to call Doug at LAUFFER HOME INSPECTIONS!! His attention to detail saved me water damage in the winter for sure! The lender is satisfied and we couldn't be happier! In this day and age finding a reputable home inspector can be very difficult and intimidating. Never again tho if you use Doug Lauffer!
