My fiancé's car was broken into from Hillcrest Apartment Complex in Hayward, Ca around 3am. An unsuccessful attempt was also made to steal the vehicle but due to the fuel pump connector being disabled the thief left the car in the driving lane a few feet away from the our designated parking spot. Management at Hillcrest apartment thought it would be a fantastic idea to not only NOT call us to notify us ( we have a designated parking spot and badge in the vehicle ) but immediately call this POS towing company to have the our car towed. To make matters worse, management at Hillcrest didn't even bother to notify us at any point post towing. Moving on, we finally come to this tow yard and meet the manager. Upon meeting him, we let him know we are here to pick our car along with the details as to why they were called to tow the vehicle. He doesn't greet us properly and rudely tells us he needs the registration of the car and we immediately remind him it is in the vehicle. He then says to provide a "title" of the car and we show him a copy bc the original is at our residence. At this point is condescending tone is apparent and we quickly realize this issue is more about making more money than actually helping us retrieve the car. We tell this uncivilized POS of a human being to lower his tone and talk respectfully. He responds by saying, "bring me the original title, and if IM HERE you'll get your car and if I'm not then come back tomorrow ( basically so they can go ahead and charge for another day ). We leave, get the title, come back and to our luck we are met with another staff worker who was completely KIND, COURTEOUS AND most importantly PROFESSIONAL. He apologized for his managers behavior, helped us retrieve our car and had us on our way. So 5 stars for the staff worker who greeted us on our second arrival but 0 stars for the manager at this location. Two recommendations: 1. FIRE the MANAGER, period and PROMOTE the staff member who actually has people skills. 2. For anyone that goes here, don't let the MANAGER treat you poorly. He is simply doing this bc he is in possession of your vehicle that you need/want back. It's his power play but don't let him treat you like shit. read more

My car was towed last night from my personal driveway due to it not being moved. I woke up at 3 AM to the tow truck driver making a lot of noise. The tow truck driver was very disrespectful and so was his manager "Cesar" they overcharged me when they stated it was gonna be $115. Fucking disgusting human beings. Do not ever use this company. There are so called equipment scratching my truck and of course the manager "Cesar" I have footage of everything" which is bullshit. Natalie Cesar couldn't even get his story right stating "THEY MADE ME PAY" when I explained the options I had to choice from either having to pay the "$115" or getting my car impounding" I obviously choice to pay. But according to him, he knows it all and he made me pay it. I advise everyone stay away from this company. They are crooked people and the real definition of FRAUD!!!! This company cruises through our complex with his lights out in stealth mode. We have a 1 hour loading and unloading rule. This company does not clock how long a vehicle has been parked in the street. They do not chalk mark tires and come back to see if the car has been moved. They literally drive in and tow the first car they see. There's NO way they could possibly know if someone had been parked there over an hour. Also they cause damage to the car. Towing the car with the brake on causes damage to the brakes and tires. It's truly despicable a company operates this way. read more

I called at 6:40am on Saturday after my car was towed and the guy answered the phone by saying "sup?" He the told me to call and talk to the office when they open at 8. We just drove there cause we were needing the car early. Turns out the office is closed Saturday. My husbands car was damaged by the tow truck driver in multiple places and there was a premium fee to get the car out on Saturday! More details below. We live in an apartment complex that's parking is limited especially with Covid restrictions. We parked o. A red curb for 15 mins right outside our front door to unload our sleeping kids before we had to move the car to a street behind our complex. This tow truck towed our car, he must have disabled his back up beeps because we would have heard it if they were on. They also broke the door handle off my husbands car (not sure why they would be trying to get inside the car). They also damaged the front bumper as the bumper hit the curb as they were lifting up. They towed on a Friday and their shop wasn't open on Saturday. We had to pay a premium fee for them to come open the shop to get the car out Saturday morning. It was close over $400. Praying on families in the middle of a pandemic when many of us have lost our jobs. The sneaky towing of the car was totally unnecessary. read more

My husband is a 100% disabled Retired Veteran. I work from 4:30pm-3am. My husband goes to school from 4:30-9:30 every night. After school he stops at the store and grabs a few cases of water... you know it being the middle of a pandemic and all... He gets home, calls our kids to come down stairs to help grab the cases (we live in a 4 story building, elevator is not close to us so it's easier for us to take the stairs) he parked near the stairs, not blocking the stairs, where there is no signs present stating no parking. There is a very much faded and barely noticeable red paint that's covered with bushes. Where EVERYONE in the building parks to load or unload. Mind you it's a little after 10pm, there is no parking in our complex so my husband was going to have to park on the street. Now how should a 100% disabled retired veteran get 3 cases of water upstairs? Park the car on the street and walk each one to the apartment? From the time that my husband called my daughter to the time the car was towed was literally one min. My husband thinking the car was stolen calls the police. The police come and said that even he didn't believe it was a legal tow. The tow driver sat and watched my husband, our son and daughter carry that water upstairs and took his car a second later and says we have to pay $405 to get it out tonight. My husband cane was in that car! My husband served his country, is now disabled because of it, still doing what he can to make sure his family has what they need in this pandemic and we have people out here like this company preying on people at a time where people are struggling to make ends meet. read more

This towing company continues to make money from the residents of Artisan. So I recommend not renting from Artisan because this towing company will tow your car without hesitation. Towing predators just like other reviews said. Parked outside my apartment garage for 6 minutes and got hooked. They patrol the neighborhood without owner request. The driver told me he spotted my car at 10:11 pm and when I came out at 10:17 he told me it would be $115 to drop my car and if it went back to the tow yard it would be a lot more expensive. He proceeded to tell me he was hooking me up at that price. This is robbery. I will be filing a complaint with the better business bureau and obtaining a lawyer if they don't issue me a full refund. Complete scam artists. Do not use this business as they are doing whatever it takes to take peoples money at whatever means necessary. Jose was sent by my insurance after a horrible experience with Combined Properties towing for a flat on holidays. Jose was so kind and kept checking in and making sure I had help after some delays. He was a gem. I literally could not get a tow for a flat on the holidays and it was so rough to deal with what Combined Properties did impounding people on the holidays but Jose made it so I could get back to normal much faster. This is a shady company with shady and unreliable people that no one should do business with. Our car had been towed in the night without notice. When we called them in the morning, they said to come at 4:00pm. We arrived at 4pm only to see no one there. After 30mins we called and were told to wait another 30mins. We waited but no one came. At 5pm they told us to wait another 30mins. Finally a guy showed up a quarter to 6pm. These businesses know that we need our car so they make us wait. Jose is always on top of things regarding people parking in areas they are not supposed to be and is great about documenting the offense so it doesn't come in question when the offender approaches us about their tow. These guys are very unprofessional they tow without permission on private property. They make their own rules, they have zero people skills. If you are ever stuck anywhere near Corona I would highly recommend Hammer Towing instead. Last night they try to tow my car from my residence while my vehicle was parked on my designated spot number indicated on my lease. When I came out they said I have to pay a fee of $150 immediately otherwise they will call PD and have me arrested. This is 2:00am I'm thinking is a nightmare this is not happening. I this guy called Cesar that didn't have the entire $150 and I could pay half then and half on Friday if he could call a manager or dispatch, he said he was the manager and that it is not possible. They will have to just tow for not having the parking permit on the dashboard and will be "few hundred dollars to take out of our yard" I brought my lease showed them that the parking spot I am parked in is designated to my unit and that I am parked in the correct spot, however Cesar insisted that in my lease it says that I have to keep the tag on at all times-which IT DOES NOT. I read paragraph by paragraph it does NOT. I told him I am going to start record him because at this point I just feel being bullying by an adult who claims he works with Corona PD and he is entitled to remove my vehicle at 2:00am from my parking spot that I have been assigned to and used to for the past 24months. Mr Cesar told me that if I don't turn off my phone I will be in big trouble with police and will add to my arrest as a felony for recording him. I told him to call police and I will wait inside my vehicle until the police arrives. He then change his story and said that if I pay $115 immediately he will drop my car, not sure if that's the exact term as the car was not on the towing truck yet, but the the car did have the heavy equipment they use. Either way I then realized the amount have changed and because my son already woke up and came seat with me to make sure I'm ok-I just have them my card double checked that the price indeed changed from 150 to 115, I asked for a receipt and stayed inside the vehicle until their departure. This morning I called Corona PD and verified, this company is not a vendor for Corona PD, Thai company is not employed by Corona PD and they assure me that no one possible at dispatch corona pd will come to arrest me if I record them trying to tow my car and/or bullying me. So if this happens to you please know your rights and call police department yourself. They illegally towed our vehicle last night around 3 am. They broke into the apartments back gate. My apartment complex had someone fixing the gate today due to this tow company's brake in. I have way more pictures of damages not just done to my car but to the apartment. They tried to brake into the car as the alarm went on last night and the door handle is scratched. The pavement ground inside the apartment is all marked up from the heavy towing, they can't even tow the car correctly and that's why as a result my car is all marked up. I called my apartment complex and they told me they shouldn't of had towed your vehicle as it was not only in your car garage but with the sticker on it. Daniel is a secretary or some type of dispatch call operator, so he says. He was late to the towing place and looked high, he smelled like straight up weed. When I called the number he was in the back hiding where the cars are all parked, he also had a pocket knife in his hand, very sketchy. He claims he is not the owner, apparently the owner goes by the name Kurt Freeman. There's a manager that also works there named Caesar I have heard. I had to pay $405 and some change to get my car back even though they illegally towed it. To everyone reading this if you had an issue with this towing company please let me know we are working to get this place closed for foul practices of towing that are illegal while also at the same time damaging vehicles. If I could give this company a zero I would. They towed my car at 3:00am. They said I couldn't get my car because I wasn't the "owner" of the car on the registration even though I share the same registration with the owner and we have the same last name. They said the owner has to pick it up, she is 7 hours away in a different state, so not possible. They gave us an authorization form to have the owner fill out and then when we got our bill. it said "owner notice charge", I asked them what it is and they said it's the fee that they charge us for notifying us our car is being towed. They can't notify us without our information and I told them that and they said they use a 3rd party company and that our notice would be sent through mail and we would receive our notice in a few days. The company is a scam and sketchy just like what others are saying in their reviews. I know the employees are just following protocol and I don't blame them for the frustrating and long process just to get my car back, but the company should have an easier way to allow owners to get their cars back especially when it's people who are on vacation. There are so many people who use their relatives cars or are given a car by a family member or share registration with a family member. On top of all of this, the assistant manager was super rude and had an attitude. Crappy company - they troll apartment complexes looking for any reason to tow your car. We literally left our car in front of our garage for less than 5 minutes while we unloaded some stuff - we came back out and saw them driving away. They literally had to have started loading our car the minute we got into the elevator. We have a company who patrols our complex and they are respectful and have a record of our license plate and know we have a right to be here. We had to call the police to figure out who had our car. This company is nothing but a band of pirates looking for a way to make a quick buck. read more
