All these concerns were put to ease with a phone call met with a friendly and reassuing voice telling me to come on in and they would take a look! This required us to bring the car back repeatedly several times. This is frustrating when this is your only means of transportation. His costs are high and when I asked my friend's about his work, even they said he has a poor reputation in the mechanic community. Too bad I didn't do my homework before bringing my car to him. I don't even think they looked at it. I could sense that he was feeding me a lie. So I got it towed to another transmission shop, who fixed the original problem for the $850. It didn't need to be rebuilt! They said it was normal wear and tear. I've been driving just fine for about three weeks now. There is a reason it looks like a vehicle graveyard in that place... is because nobody's vehicle is getting worked on, they are just sitting. The original owner built up a great reputation, the current staff has ran it into the ground. I hate to think of the people that they have taken advantage of over the years. These people are a prime example of why mechanics have a horrible reputation.
