I would not recommend anyone use this store without contacting customer service first. Today, I accompanied a friend to return their router, which is something I've done a couple of years ago. We signed in and were 18 out of 25 walk-ins and waited about 35 minutes to be helped. The person helping us said that he couldn't do anything for us and that we had to call customer service first. 15 minutes into being on hold with customer service, the person helping us walked away and made an announcement to the store that anyone returning equipment can just drop it off on the desk. I ended up asking if the announcement applied to us and our helper ended up saying yes, so we chose not to waste more of our time and left the store. The issue is that the process would've taken a significantly longer amount of time if I had not questioned the process that our Spectrum representative was suggesting. First off they're ripping you off, you try to remove a service and they tell you your bill will go higher. Got new internet carrier and was kept on hold for over a hour to cancel service! Funny how suddenly I get flooded that same night with scam calls and BS calls from the area the rep told me she worked in. Just run and try a different service. Only 1.5 stars, so it's not just me! I had a dead router so I took the dead one into the store. Quick swap right? LOL. Waited about 20 mins for help. Then the kid kept trying to sell me cellular phone service instead of taking the stuff back. THREE TIMES and he would not stop, like his job depends on him selling me what I do not need. Store was very slow going through the customer wait list. Room was very hot. I'm just trying to return equipment that was installed in my house, but was the wrong equipment. Make this easier. We were in a bad situation AT&T has put us in and needed activation for a family plan of 5 lines. It was complicated and their customer service representative Rose was one of the nicest, polite, knowledgeable and professional people I have encountered in a while. Not only did she have the patience of the saint but she went over and above to stay after hours to ensure our family was all set. I couldn't be happier and I am very grateful for her support and helpful advice. This gal deserves a raise. read more

We have an old phone that is paid off but they will not unlock it unless it is on an active line for 60days. We have been loyal to this company since before it was brighthouse. Spectrum=Never use the xumo boxes that stream. The picture when watching any sport is awful. Blurry. Have a $2,000 TV with an awesome picture. But xumo ruins the quality of what youre watching.The xumo streaming service that they offer as a cheaper alternative has many flaws. My bill is still $200. Plus they take away a dvr box that does 6 recordings and when there was a problem with it they gave us a 4 recording box. Then can't guarantee back to a 6 recording box. Now the fast forward option isn't working when watching the dvr. It's just one problem after another. Please don't waste your time. read more

8/25/2024 i went to the location in the mall to get my service after moving into an apartment building near by. I was greeted and everyone seemed friendly. I was asked if I had an appointment which i didnt, so was told to sign in. I may have waited 10 minutes before being helped by Michael. He was very helpful and thorough in helping me. The whole process to about 30-45 minutes total. Super easy nice store employees were proper. Mike was helpful understanding and quick with his work. read more

DESTINY VELAZQUEZ was recommended to me before I moved to the area as my Spectrum representative. Big mistake. My equipment was not at my apartment the day of my move in - despite ordering it 3 weeks prior. I spent over an hour of my move in day going to get the equipment and waiting in line for her mistake - as she advised me to do. Now, I have been sent multiple boxes in the mail and they keep getting sent to me after I send them back. I have called, texted, and emailed Destiny with no response. After I signed up under her, she went completely MIA. I visited this store and was greeted with a hostile demeanor by a representative with glasses, and was advised to wait for a turn since I didn't have an appointment. I waited for nearly an hour before calling it quits. Not sure about others, but when you work 60-70 hour weeks, you don't have time to wait around to take care of someone else's mistakes. There is no number to call for customer service. I have been completely stuck. I highly do not recommended spectrum and am looking to switch to AT&T. You will never be able to reach out to anyone, Wi-Fi will be spotty, they will attempt to send & charge you for random boxes, your equipment will not be there on your move in date, and your rep will ghost you. read more

I made the same comment in Google but here I am, making my statement in hope Spectrum would look back and improve their customer service (finger crossed) The whole store has only 2 employees serving customers, waiting time is 5-10 mins. When we got served, the guy said "oh you know you could send it instead of coming here, the shipping slip there for a reason". And yes sir, we are not stupid we are your customers, we bring return stuffs to store because the on-phone customer service people told us to bring it to store so you guys at once can process return $5 Spectrum charged us for WiFi service since December that we do not use. The funny thing is Spectrum sent WiFi router in February but they started charging in December, very sneaky. So at the end, we waited in line for bad customer service and nothing resolved, we still have to call Spectrum to get money back. What a worthless place to come to. read more

one of the worst and most inefficient line processes I've ever seen. Had to wait over an hour in a virtual line to pick up something that would take 30 seconds. Makes way more sense that they split the lines between tasks that are fast and tasks that are slow. guess they haven't thought of that though read more

I'm not satisfied with Spectrum Company.. Their rules change nonsense. History Channel doesn't have everything like myth story,War story,medieval story and religious story everything.. It only limit what spectrum company give us to watch and The SYFY channel I notice some movie is not science fiction.. I don't know what the hell is going on I had never had problem with other different Cable Company.. However I called Spectrum Customer Service and I explain to them.. He said because I got basic cable if I want everything history channel then I would have to charge more.. It ridiculous their rules.. If I could give 0 stars I would. We recently cancelled our spectrum service after 10 years of being loyal customers. When we cancelled the customer service people wouldn't even let us cancel in peace and got mad at us for not giving them the chance to change our services. Then they told us we needed to rerun our equipment to the store, when we got to the store the associate was extremely rude and talked to us like we were idiots, and a hassle. They would not accept our equipment on site and then told us we have to go to another location to drop it off. All of our encounters and customer service experiences justified and confirmed our decision to switch, also saving us over half of what we were spending with spectrum. read more

They are not existent they don't care about the people only their rules. I have had 3 people here to fix my tv and it's still not fixed the last tech could have fixed it but low and behold spectrum cancelled my service call and would not let him do it because he didn't have a work order so me the customer gets screwed yet again waiting for another 90 minutes for another person to call and make another appointment tech number 4 to fix my tv and I am suppose to be so thankful they got me in today and gave me a 39.95 credit, mind you I have been having problems for 4 years with the tv and sound going out because spectrum was too cheap to replace the cable lines that were from 1997 - Screw this company time for a new provider I'm sure I can get tv for less then $280 a month what a rip off. read more

Ms. Qwendolyn assisted me in getting my services turned on then off when I transferred back to T mobile. She was pleasant and displayed absolute excellent customer service. She is a credit to Spectrum and whatever she is getting paid is not enough. She should be promoted into upper level management as a regional manager to transfer her customer service skills to the other Spectrum locations. Promote ASAP. read more

Understaffed and staff assists people out of order seemingly based on a person's appearance

If I could give this a 0 review I would. My boyfriend set up our account, he is currently deployed for the military and told spectrum over the phone that he cannot pick it up since he's out of the states. He was told that they cannot deliver either so he told them I'm the only person that's able to pick up the router and they told him that I can go to any spectrum, give them my account number and They will give it to me, and my info was added from the apartment automatically. I walk in and let the know what's going on and he told me I can't pick it up unless I'm an authorized user. They wouldnt even check to see if I'm an authorized user and they sent me out. My wife and I went to the Brandon Town Center store to find out about the wireless plans. Already had a written worksheet from the Assistant Manager from 4 months ago. The gentleman that jumped to work is was all full of himself trying to instruct a new employee on how to do things. Started out bad saying that they didn't like the man we spoke with prior and that he no overworked there. He at least explained the different phones and wanted to know what we needed. This character tried to play used car salesman and hopped to the top of line phone which he do not need and told him so several times. Kept pushing the payment plans for phone and that we were saving. Refused to just tell us the price of a phone. We emphasis that we did not like/want payments. He said then that everyone has payments. Lumps bill for services in with a payment plan for product. Couldn't understand that we wished to pay cash for phone. We left and will never return to this store again. Poor attitude of everyone we saw working in the place. All seemed to endorse his approach as not one of them attempted to correct the attitude. Bad impressions are Very hard to counter. Will not recommend any of my counterparts at the VA, American Legion, DAV and anyone else wanting to know about service. read more

I have had spectrum for a while now. My WiFi periodically crashes. I called spectrum and they send a guy out. I have a few power outages while he is trying to fix it. He claims he fixed it and left. WiFi goes down again. I call again. They send another guy. This guy works on trying to fix the problem. Does something he should not have done and, boom. Power out. The sound bar on the second floor, blew smoke coming out. My microwave blew, my dishwasher, my garage opener, my Xbox, my Wii, and my electrical box on the side of my house blew, almost causing a fire on my house. We had Tampa electric come out, they told us to call an electrician. We paid $800 to the electrician. We sent them a damage claim. After days of waiting and paying for all of this to be fixed we were DENIED. They are blaming us for their employee damaging our stuff. Especially during this time of quarantine, I think this company is pathetic. They do not care about the customer at all. They only want to give terrible wi-fi for your money. I am canceling my subscription as should you. DO NOT GO WITH SPECTRUM WI-FI! read more
