Worse service ever and I thought Comcast was bad! Each day we lose coverage always in the middle of a program or interview as well. There employees are great, but this company's reliability is HORRIBLE! So far this morning and only 10a have lost coverage twice (2x). So, if you can get another service - do it! I switched to GoNet Speed today so I called Spectrum to cancel and they told me I have been paying $50 too much for slow internet and that they could offer me faster service for only $30. The problem is prices are constantly going up, and it was a complete nightmare to discontinue cable/internet. They told me I had to pay for another month because it was the first day of the billing cycle. Then after being put on hold for a half hour, because I said that was unacceptable, miraculously they could do me a favor by only charging me by todays usage. Naturally no one could give me an exact cost. As far as the services go I can't really complain. Sometimes internet was slow, but the DVR always worked. My cable box also had a reboot button on the front so it was always easy enough to do so when necessary. All store employees that I've interacted with have always been helpful. read more

Well D.E.I. is alive and well in the Chicopee Spectrum location. Floor manager Karen with the stealthy movement of a sloth and the personality of a pit viper is one of the worst part of the Spectrum Chicopee experience. Not capable of being corrected, Mgr. Heather displayed a pseudo superior attitude that came off as nothing but post menopausal. Simply raising your voice in the first 20 seconds is I'm guessing, not what Spectrum would like to have representing them. Irritated, Mgr. Heather is a clear indication of Spectrums business model of, "WE DON'T CARE" I've been with Spectrum for over 15 years, (continental, charter etc.) and Spectrum's Heather has put the final nail in the relationship I've had once spending $380 a month for every conceivable item this company had to offer. Heather, do all of us a favor, quit your job and go into a less public type profession. If human interaction makes you boarder line suicidal, don't do it. BIG factor to know before getting Spectrum mobile is that if you share a house with someone and are on the same mobile plan because you share the internet for the house, if you move out, it is a HUGE HASSLE to switch your number over to your new spectrum account, even though you may be paying for the line and you get spectrum internet at your new house. Its been a year and a half for me and still they can't seem to figure out how to take my phone line with my phone number off of my friends account and move it to my account (also spectrum). My phones are both completely paid off and yet I can't bring my numbers with me. My friend has called as the account holder for her address and I have called as the account holder for mine and still they will not let me carry it over. Do NOT recommend! read more

Great internet service company with nearly competitive pricing. Great customer service on technical services with ONE EXCEPTION , emails! Their email servers are FULL of S{AMMERS and they can't figure out how to block foreign servers from infiltrating everyone's email accounts !!!!!!!! I get nearly a dozen SPAM emails EVERY DAY from accounts WITHIN the spectrum CHARTER.NET servers. This is unacceptable. The spam from .uk is the worst and there is NO software group in Spectrum with a lick of common sense to block the .uk server. I called spectrum for an issue with my landline not working. All that the spectrum rep could tell me was to get an electrician. I called back and ANOTHER tech scheduled an appointment for me. Ian came out! He not only fixed my phone issue he also made sure my internet was working well. Apparently spectrum upgraded my internet and that software change knocked my landline out. He was able to correct the problem and troubleshooted to solve all the issues! Thank you Ian!! read more

My name on the bill of Spectrum was changed to something that I don't know what that is, while my ID was provided to the store during that visit weeks ago. I would have to go back to the store last week to make the name correction. FOrtunately, finally, one of the store clerks was very nice. She took over my change name request and changed my name on the bill to the same one shown on the ID. But, before that final nice service, I was rejected by other clerk(s) that store doesn't do the name correction. Said I would have to call for that. How I call to make the correction, while that incorrect name was made in the store?? It sounds like it's my fault. Clerks were also nice but I can't answer their question about if that wrong name on the bill is associated with someone in my family. Because I can't recognize that incorrect name, nor have knowledge about what that is. After the name correction done, I was informed that my correct name will show on the next bill. Hopefully, there's no more issue. As almost 10 years customer in the same cable company, this issue's not supposed to occur. If there's no hate crime out there. read more

Terrible customer service. Went in to upgrade phone was told my wife had to be there (even when I was going to pay for the phone outright not finance). There was no offer to find a solution. Agent was rude/smug when I asked could I get the iphone upgrade somewhere else and switch the sims. Her response: "You do whatever you want" Delivered in a very negative sarcastic tone. Horrible customer service!! We've had Spectrum for almost 20 years. I just got off the phone with two customer service reps. The first one was very helpful. We currently pay $70.95 for internet and$100. plus for cable. I called to cancel our cable tv portion and keep internet. The first rep was very helpful and said that since we were not bundled the internet charge would not change. She transferred me to a different department for the actual cancellation. Such a horrible experience! She kept trying to sell me different packages ( I know they have to do that) but then she said that the internet cost was going to go up $5.00!!! What the hell?!? Hopefully I'll be able to find a new internet provider in the near future and be rid of Spectrum for good!!! read more

Absolutely miserable customer service. Keep losing my signal. Every 2 months or so. Last time, they refused to help me. I cancelled them. Went into chicoppee shop to turn in the modem, etc. The woman was so rude. She ordered me to sign in when i entered. I sd, "no im just here to return the equipment". Terrible customer service. Embarrassed my 80 year old mother in front of all the customers today. A representative working there belittled her and another elderly man and spoke to her in a loud and demeaning way because they didn't understand how to sign into the electronic keypad. She then continued to speak to my mother in disgust about how she was supposed to return something. Finally my mother decided it was best to leave and not put up with the woman's attitude any longer. As she left the stores the woman yelled "have a nice day" as all the customers looked on. I work in a professional setting and would never treat elderly people this way simply because they are confused. It's a shame that stores feel the need to employ people like this. We have had Spectrum since we moved here in 1979. Was satisfied with cable but we got DirecTv so we could tape shows here and on the west coast. Now with all the different apps you could get we decided to cancel the TV part but we have kept the internet. read more
