I called them back and was told the net would be back up in 8-10 minutes. It did not come back up. I called again and one phone says there's an outage while the other says there's not an outage.

Granted, I was able to watch shows/On Demand on my ipad, but only certain channels. Blackmailed: when I called to cancel my cable tv and keep the internet, they said, Oh Sorry, if you do that, your Internet is going to go from $45/mo to $70 something. I said, that's funny, cuz I have another account in another town (i travel for work) that's only Internet, and it's only $45. Oh, ummm...that must've been a special or something. Worst cable experience of my life! I've cycled through digital cable, Dish, and now DirecTV. As…read moresoon as my contract period is up, I'm out. The salesman who came to the door (who DirecTV claims doesn't work for them.) Made promises that were never kept. $100 gift cert for signing up, guaranteed my bill would be $115 for the entire period of my contract. And WORST OF ALL, I noticed an odd charge on my credit card, which I had to provide to get the cable activated. A 3rd party affiliate of DirecTV was charging my card every month. First, I never agreed to DirecTV giving out my credit card information. When I called DirecTV, I was informed that the payment was for insurance on my remote and cable hardware. Also, something I didn't agree to. It showed up on my statement as Clearsat/Ironshield. When I contacted DirecTV they stated that they couldn't terminate the insurance and that I'd have to contact Clearsat (Clear satellite) directly, which I did. Clearsat informed me that if I wanted to terminate the insurance that I'd have to do so through DirecTV. I played this back and forth for a few hours before eventually having to cancel my credit card. DirecTV also never had an answer for how Clearsat received my credit card information even though I only ever provided it to DirecTV. Shady as shit, and while before I may not have liked a cable provider, I abosolutely LOATHE DirecTV.

We called support, which is 100 miles away from our location. A tech person came to our house a few days later and said he couldn't help us due to the weather. We asked if he could return later in the day, but he replied that he had other commitments in other communities. After that, we never heard from him again. We suggest that you not sign up with this company, because it seems to have only one tech person covering a rather large area in Eastern Montana. If there are other options, choose one so you won't be paying a monthly fee for something that doesn't work properly.

Although it took a while for the "win-back" to go through, Dan and Danny were able to help us get everything back to normal before we left the store. On November 7, exactly 72 hours later, we drove two hours to the Great Falls corporate store to pick it up. We arrived shortly after 10 AM and were greeted by the manager, who said the order was being prepared and would be ready shortly. After a few minutes, he returned to say there was an issue preventing completion and that he needed to contact operations for help. Moments later, I received an email stating our order had been canceled at 9:34 AM, something neither of us initiated. After waiting nearly an hour, I asked for clarification on what happened and about the $95 charge that was now on hold. I explained that we did not have an additional $95 to process another order, as canceled merchant transactions often take 3-5 days to refund. The manager acknowledged this but said there was nothing he could do because "the 72-hour pickup window expired." Before leaving, I checked my email again and saw that Verizon had just sent a new message saying our order was still ready for pickup and that today (11/7) was the final day to collect it, exactly as we had planned. I went back into the store to show him this, hoping for some understanding or at least an apology. Instead, he showed me on his iPad that the order had been "canceled at 12:53 AM by the customer" and repeated that we canceled it, which was simply not true. So quick to cancel the order but not very quick to find a solution. Only my 84-year-old grandfather and I are authorized on the account, and he does not have the means or access to cancel an order online. We drove two hours to complete a pickup that Verizon confirmed was ready, only to be told it was canceled by us, without any explanation or solution. When I expressed concern that if the system truly shows a customer-side cancellation, that could suggest a possible fraud or technical issue, the manager simply replied, "I don't know, I can get you to that department," only for it to be a continued wait as it was nothing he could do at that moment to connect me with someone to find an answer . The lack of compassion and accountability was extremely disappointing. We have been loyal Verizon customers for years, carrying multiple devices and paying an average of $700 per month, yet the experience today made us feel unappreciated and dismissed. A little empathy and ownership would have gone a long way, even a simple acknowledgment that the situation was unfortunate and an offer to assist with reprocessing the order. As a long-time paying customer, I sincerely hope Verizon corporate will review this location's customer service standards. Every customer, especially the elderly clientele that filled the store today, deserves to feel respected, supported, and valued, not brushed aside. This experience has left us questioning our relationship with Verizon, and we will be reevaluating our service options moving forward.
