We started with the stone on our house and was so impressed with his work and didn't want to lose him we asked about our driveway, stoop and walkway. He expanded our driveway made the apron bigger, cleaned up our over grown bushes and was spot on with his design for the walkway and the colors he suggested, he matches up perfectly to the stone. Brian put it together went over and above never made my wife and I fell like a customer , he spent time consulting and that made the dollar amount worth every penny. In my profession I negotiate all day, with Brian he treated us fair and having him be the person we trust with our hone I didn't want to lose him, his prices were fair but the work he did was over and above what we expected. . I chose KO flooring after seeing samples of their work, responsiveness to my inquiry (Nick answered my message immediately and made himself available to come to my home asap), family run business, and their willingness to accommodate my needs as a pregnant mother with a toddler. Nick and his father are both lovely people and practice what they preach when it comes to the "old school" mentality of delivering quality work and ensuring client satisfaction. There was one thing I was unhappy with upon delivery of service and he sent a worker back to fix it. This act speaks volumes, not only to his character, but his dedication to ensuring a happy client for years to come. Being a part time designer I've had dealings with plenty of craftsman and can assure you this was an excellent experience. If I had to do it again, I'd hire KO Flooring.

I contracted with Nick at KO floors to install Red Oak hardwood but he installed White Oak instead…read more He did this without my consent. Red Oak was clearly in my contract and Nick knew the rest of the house was Red Oak. Now it does not match the rest of my Red Oak floors. When I asked him what happened he lied and told me it was a mistake by his distributor however I was informed by one of his employees that Nick used the White Oak wood cause he had it in stock and saved money. Not a nice thing to do to your customer who spent close to 20k with his company. So I would not recommend KO Flooring or Nick to anyone.

Price: Very fair The original call was answered promptly with a promise to send someone over for an estimate in 90 min. I received a call a bit later requesting permission to come a bit earlier - so courteous. We discussed what we wanted done and showed him the side fence which 2 other companies said we would need to remove. Glad we didn't. They never called or came back. LI Paving's Tom, told us they pave up to it on each side of the fence and tamp together. Tom told us how everything would go and we said anytime was good. He handed us a contract with all that was discussed fully written out and we each signed. NO PAYMENT REQUIRED UNTIL WORK DONE AND SATISFIED!! The following week, he called to ask if they could do it. Sure. They showed up Wed and dug everything up. The workers and family members work like clockwork. The belgian blocks went down beautifully. My neighbor came out to talk to Tom and immediately approved them doing hers also. They dug hers up next. The trucks were busy. The workers were busy and everyone knew their job so well. It was like watching an orchestra play. Tom and his son, Tom, worked the roller/pounder and the payloader. His son never thumped on the ground. It was so impressive. By the next evening, everything was beautifully done. We had a question the day after and he and a worker came and cut a bit off to extend our garden area. He and his sons have talent and a work ethic that can't be beat. Day 2 they were all outside at 6:30 am to clean the blocks and do whatever they were doing while I was sleeping, lol. At 8:00, the roller/pounder got going. I had done quite a bit of research after we spoke to the first 2 companies that we weren't comfortable with. Tom explained that it's all about having the right equipment, not leaving your driveway exposed for 2 weeks while you drive over the same spots. The entire driveway has to be graded and pounded equally. All my research bears that out. I almost wish I had more driveways for them to do :-))

We haven't heard from him since, dispute leaving him multiple voicemails from both our phones and multiple text messages. Not even 3 years ago he did our driveway and we have a few holes in it, one being absolutely huge that we need to fix before the colder weather. Mind you, we gave this guy $10,000 to pave our driveway. Would never recommend them.

His estimate was reasonable and his explanation as to how he would tackle the job was excellent. Based on our conversation, we hired Daniel to complete the job while we were away on vacation. Daniel came prior to our departure to prep the job (install flush mount wooden floor grates, replace a door saddle that was broken, etc). On the day we left, Daniel came to move a solid oak table and a large couch that we were unable to move ourselves. There was no additional charge for this service (we removed the remaining furniture from the areas being worked on). Daniel completed the job over a three day period while we were away. After it was completed, our adult son met Daniel to inspect the job and to satisfy the balance due. My son shared pictures of Daniel's workmanship. The floors came out absolutely amazing and unlike the last person who worked on the floors, there were no stains or marks in untreated areas and the cleanup was extraordinary. Daniel and my son also moved the table and couch back into place. We returned from vacation a couple of days ago and got to view the end result was better in person than the pictures conveyed.
