On Dec 16th at the Spectrum store in Inverness, Fl, my mother -- who is nearly 70 years old -- was spoken to in a condescending and dismissive manner by an employee named James. She was calm, respectful, and simply asking for help. The response she received was rude, patronizing, and entirely inappropriate. What makes this especially concerning is that this is not an isolated incident. Public reviews going back over a year describe the same behavior by the same employee -- repeated one-star complaints citing disrespect and poor treatment of customers. At this point, this is not a customer service lapse. It is a documented pattern that Spectrum has allowed to continue. When a company fails to intervene after repeated complaints -- particularly when older customers are involved -- accountability shifts from the employee to leadership. I remained calm like I usually am( it takes a lot for me to get upset with anyone) I continued to tell him the importance of me getting a phone today, and that the lady on the phone said that I for sure could get it set up today since I stated my account and you guys def are not closed . I'm looking at the website and we still have plenty of time for you to make a sale. This guy was trying to act so "tough" in front of the girl that was just standing there listening to everything and continued to say I'm not selling you a phone and I'm Not staying past closing time. I called him a horrible person and told Him he doesn't care about purple and they sometimes in like at a sales job , you have to stay a little longer the you want to. (I've been in car sales at Deluca Toyota for 7 years and we would stay past midnight sometimes although we closed at 8" I didn't kind though cause it's about the customer experience And repeat business and representing your company the right way. So we went back-and-forth he just had his arms crossed to sucking his teeth and trying to show out in front of this chick, and the chick definitely was on my side, but she wouldn't open her mouth so anyways finally I'm there long enough for the store to actually be closed. That's when he then mentioned oh I can't even use my system anymore. The store is now closed and then said here. I'll call the cops now.. I literally laughed out loud and I said I can't wait to see you tomorrow. I will be back here and I will be getting a phone and trust me. We have seen so many bad reviews for this store we weren't sure what to expect when we went there to return some equipment. Turns out our experience there was excellent! We are new to Spectrum Cellular. Husband was having an issue with apps loading since starting with them. My service went out for my phone, cable and internet. I called Spectrum and reported this at 6 AM and was told everything should be restored by 8 AM. I called Spectrum back at 9:50 as my service still had not been restored. I was told that there was a outage but everything is working. When the customer service representative checked he found out that my service along with 2 neighbors was still out and hadn't been reported. I repeated that I called Spectrum and reported it at 6 AM. very bad service! i signed up for a year bundle,house phone,internet,cable. then i turned in old cable boxes that were used and out of date when they installed the service to save the rental fee, so one month later they raised my bill, there excuse always is the taxes went up. when in all reality when you try to save they take. they have said i could not get the mobile deal unless i increased internet speed, but i recieved an e mail saying i can, be careful folks this company is highway robbery if your not paying attention! i do not recommend them, unfortunatley they have monopilized the market like att and ma bell back in the day the same crap is going on! read more

Probably one of the worst spectrum stores I've ever been to. You go in and ask about why your account is locked or anything to do with new service and they talk down to you like you're stupid. I've been in the store twice and both times they talk down to you like you're a waste of their time. I had a simple question about why Spectrum told me I had to come to the store to reset my security code and the guy kept saying I had to call spectrum and that they don't deal with resetting security codes. Eventually, he told me my security code, which I wanted from the beginning, but was very disrespectful and rude.
