My stomach turns when these companies treat the ones who are paying their wages the way they do. These companies are so big partially because of their customers paying their bills. Which I have always done religiously despite all the price hikes, changing modems and or equipment and outages. I dropped the cable service when the price hike took it up close to 200.00 a month. I remained with the internet services simply to keep my email address the same. The service started out around 58 dollars for internet only. Then over time, hikes have taken it up to 98 a month. I have had trouble with my internet for a long time off and on. I finally got sick of the issues and decided to take action to cancel services. I attempted to cancel prior to the new billing cycle but was told on the phone that they are unable to verify who I am, even though, the next call I made to them verified just fine, that I would have to cancel in person. They could not do it over the phone. I went in person the first chance I got and canceled the service. I was told by the nice representative at the location that they would be happy to offer me a cheaper rate if id stay. $40.00 a month. Where was that offer when I called at the time of the last price hike? I was also told that the modem I turned in was outdated and that changing the modem may help. How often do I need to come in person to get a new modem to get my service functioning properly? Why wasn't that suggested previously? Surely, they can see on their little electronic screen when the last modem was updated? I have had outages weather related twice in the last 2 months. I can understand that and over look it. But the other outages that I have experienced over the last year and especially the last two months im having a tougher time overlooking. I then was told that I would have 1 more bill at the 98 dollars to pay. At which I asked to have that refunded since I tried to cancel prior to the billing cycle. Which they would not budge. I explained the frustration of not having service and the number of times I have called over the last two months. This time I got the excuse that their records only are showing the last two phone contacts made in September. Regardless I have the phone records showing I contacted them in August twice as well. I would be happy to bring my phone in to show that contact proving that I did attempt to make this right in August which I got the excuse we have no way to receive that. I offered to bring the phone in person, still they didn't accept that either, stating there is no where to bring it to. Again, more excuses. Then they state that per their contract, they can not refund the current bill. On the flip side if I hired a lawyer to try and fight this it would end up costing me more than the 89 dollars and they know it. Either way I loose and they win. Obviously, this is not a company I personally would recommend. I was a loyal customer for a decade. I tried to cancel my service. After they tried to give me "special pricing" to stay, I was talked into a seasonal hold. I was unaware there would be a $5 monthly fee. I was therefore late on that bill. They refused to waive the late fee as a few months earlier I had one removed b/c my cc on file had expired. I decided to cancel all services. They didn't do that b/c I had to call back after 24 hours which I was not told. Long story I've now had to call a 3rd time only to be told to call back a 4th time. There are several Spectrum stores in the Lincoln area. I selected the one closet to the Garden Mall area. Parking can be a challenge on weekdays and on weekends. It's manageable if you arrive when they open. Air conditioning was on high, very chilly inside. The computerized waiting console was not working so it's the old fashioned method of waiting until you are next in line. Service is fast but the bathrooms were messy. read more

They also take that 14 days from the time it gets shipped. Which means if your tablet takes 5 days to get to you that is 5 days off your 14 days. And if you dont get ahold of them before the 14 days you CANNOT return the tablet even if you dont want it. These guys are terrible! The internet is completely unstable requiring a modem reboot multiple times a week. After a modem replacement there was no change. When a technician came out, he broke my mom's computer desk with no reparation after filing a claim. When calling into support, requesting a call back instead of holding is futile. I've tried that 3 times with no callback. So now i just stay on hold for up to 30 minutes sometimes. Changing addresses is a mess. They say everything is set to go but nothing works as requested and takes hours with multiple customer service reps to resolve it. If you have an option, pick another provider. We didn't have a choice at the complex we're in. read more

If you want good internet service go somewhere else their service is extremely slow and unless you plan to only use 2 phones a tv and maybe one gaming device but even then it will be extremely slow. Just got the box set up. I was skeptical, I've never heard anything good about spectrum. I got the box in person a week ago after moving; they then mailed me another box. I then had to call to ask why I wasn't getting any channels. Long story short they gave me 2 boxes to try and get me to pay 8 bucks extra a month, since the apartment complex I'm in already has cable as a bulk option, it's free for me. So for them to make a quick buck and try to sneak in an extra box already has me questioning if I should even bother with Internet for them (probs won't now). read more

I called Spectrum's national customer service number and was told no problem, to stop by this location after work for a replacement. When I got there at 5:30 pm, there was one employee working and after 20 minutes, she was still helping the same person she had been helping when I first walked in and there were 8 people in front of me. I finally left, after calling Spectrum to lodge a complaint (with the person on duty piping up sassing me and other customers complaining that I was filing a complaint.) I don't know if the manager is an imbecile, but scheduling one person to work at a time is a remarkably bad idea. The DMV is a dream come true compared to this location. read more

I had spectrum years ago and dropped them because they charge way too much, lie about hidden fees, and their customer service is the worst I've ever dealt with. This afternoon one of their sales people showed up at my door trying to get me back. I have a no solicitors sign on the door and asked him if he saw it. He said he had, but that spectrum Lincoln had told him to ignore signs like that and knock anyway. Talking about the service as a whole. Do not use it. It's slow, has a lot of frequent issues and when you are trying to set up an appointment they don't give you a call when your technician gets there and they call the wrong number. When we later called again and got rescheduled for the same day they never gave us the time for the second appointment and called the wrong number again. Bad service with even worse customer service. My son Recently purchased a Galaxy A01 from the, 308 N 48th St Suite 101, store. He Had some issues with the phone and wanted to exchange it for something different. Under Spectrum's term and conditions the customer has 14 days to exchange or refund the phone, including warranty exchanges. At this time the phone was 5 days old. The staff did everything to resolve the issue but the phone did not perform and was a warranty eligible item. The manager, Tom, stated that there was nothing he could do, that he would have to go through the manufacture to receive the warranty. We have spent several hour on the phone with Spectrum customer service and where told Tom should have done the exchange in store. We spoke with Tom, after all the calls to customer service. Tom stated, he issued a ticket to get the situation resolved. It has been 4 days since he made that statement. This is a horrible level of customer service for a easy follow your on policy exchange. Very disappointed in Tom and Spectrum mobile. If your going to sell a product and it doesn't work, follow your policy and take care of the customer. read more
