I called to see why my bill increased. The customer service rep was very nice and helpful and told me it was because of the no longer discount of autopay. The customer service is very good, but the company is not. I was told that i had 600 mbps. On Spectrum website I got 600 mbps, but oh the other speed test sites, I only got 340. When I asked about canceling my account, the basically said nothing. It's really sad that Spectrum cares so little about their customers that they don't care if we keep our service or find another carrier. I will start to look now. Very sad. read more

The worst! Truck damaged the junction boxes on the side of our building. Power was restored in 4-5 hrs. 45+ hrs later Spectrum still hasn't restored Internet. They stopped sending updates after the 3rd message. It's nearly impossible to reach a human, but if you do, you get attitude. Clearly they don't care about your business. Billing issues are a joke. If they make a mistake or there is a dispute you are out of luck. I had an increase on my monthly rate and questioned it. The chat agent after a long moment explained that by going to a "better" plan I could keep my old rate. Received an email confirmation same day with terms and rate. Service changed on the date of email but bill did not. Spent half an afternoon going through auto agents ...real agent and waiting for a team leader who never materialized. I was having some tech issues with internet, cable and a landline telephone (yes, I'm old). Today I gathered up all of my dated equipment and headed out to visit Spectrum, ATT & Frontier to see if an in-person visit would work vs calling an 800 number and having any replacement equipment shipped and me dealing with return labels and boxes . Apparently it was my lucky day at Spectrum (but not at the nearby Agua Caliente casino earlier). I entered the store at 5 pm and waited less than 5 minutes. There were four energetic, bright and super helpful staff...all tending to the various customers. But..I think I hit the 'jackpot' with the rep assigned to me. His name was a Steven. He was very knowledgeable and actually listened to my concerns and questions despite my rambling and periodic loss of focus. I have two homes so we took care of replacing two sets of equipment. Without my asking, he marked the various items appropriately AND gave me simple but explicit instructions on what to do when I installed the equipment. I had a great experience...thanks to all the improvements Spectrum has made over the years with regard to customer service AND the awesome human connection I enjoyed with Steven...the ideal employee. read more

I visited a Spectrum location to return some equipment and was instructed to sign in and wait to be called. Shortly after, another gentleman walked in with equipment and was also asked to sign in. Despite arriving after me, he was called before I was. What was especially frustrating is that the employee helping customers clearly stated he could only handle certain services and told the person ahead of me to wait for the next representative. However, he then proceeded to assist the gentleman who arrived after me--who had the exact same request as I did: to return equipment. When I spoke up and pointed out that I had been there first, my concern was completely ignored. The representative offered no acknowledgment or explanation and simply continued with the other customer. This kind of service is unacceptable. Customers should be helped in the order they arrive, especially when dealing with identical service requests. It felt dismissive and disrespectful. I'm glad we are no longer residential customers with Spectrum, and after this experience, I'm seriously considering moving our business account elsewhere as well. Poor service like this makes it clear that customer experience is not a priority. read more

These guys have a poor business model for client retention. They badger you and badger you until you lose your cool and then transfer you to a dead end line when you want to file a complaint. There should be Congressional inquiries into their sales practices. I will be writing my Congressman alerting them to this. Totally clueless here - you can be the only one in the shop and you'll still be waiting for upwards of 15 minutes if not more. It's somewhat a comedy unraveling before your very eyes but it's just not funny - as if they're so disorganized they either hide in the back or truly hate working and supporting the customers. Thats for the storefront alone. On to the residential internet service overall - it's non existent. The absolute worst home internet service I've ever experienced. I called in issues every week for 5 weeks as my signal would randomly drop. They wound up sending someone who told me the installer had used old cable...why? After he replaced, it still did not correct the issue and I went to Frontier and have been SO MUCH MORE HAPPY with their service and attention to detail. DO NOT USE SPECTRUM if you need service or quality. Trust me folks. They are just the worse and I cannot even imagine how bad their cable TV service is (for the few that may still use that service of theirs). read more

I called Spectrum to get the payoff amount for my cellular device so that I could close the mobile account. I was told the total remaining balance was $412.55, that paying that amount would zero balance my mobile account and allow to me terminate the service. I paid $412.55 on September 17, 2025, called Spectrum back on this same day and had the mobile service disconnected. I confirmed with their CSR that my mobile account balance was now $0.00 and that the mobile service had been disconnected. The representative advised me that my account was paid in full and the service was immediately terminated. I called the Spectrum Mobile number from another phone and received the automated messaged confirming that the line was no longer in service. However, on September 28, 2025, I received a notification that $17.49 was auto-debited from my credit card for the monthly payment of the device that I had paid in full 11 days prior, I called Spectrum to get a refund of that payment and was told that the amount of $412.55 that I was given didn't include the $17.49 that was to be withdrawn on the 28th because that amount had already been billed/invoiced before I called even though I verified with THEIR representative several times on the 17th that $412.55 was the total remaining balance on the device and no further payments were remaining on the mobile account. The mobile account was closed on September 17th and the mobile number was disconnected on the 17th. I was also told that they could not process a refund or offer a credit for the $17.49 because the account was closed. They were able to take the payment on a closed account so I don't understand why they can't refund the payment on a closed account. Spectrum is ripping people off and using deceptive practices to get away with doing so. I don't care what other provider I have to use but I will NEVER be a Spectrum customer again...I think I'd rather go without service at all than to deal with these crooks! read more

This is hands down the worst internet I have ever had. I pay for their fastest internet, and it cuts out CONSTANTLY, especially on wireless connections, and barely reaches from my office to my bedroom. I live in a 2 bedroom apartment so that should never be a problem. When I want to play a mobile game on my phone, I actually have to disconnect from the internet and use mobile data so I don't lag out mid game and lose. When you're opting to use mobile data over 1GB internet for gaming, something is seriously wrong. Truly awful internet, I'd rate 0 stars if that was an option. read more

I Love Spectrum. I have it at my home in Palm Springs and Sky Valley. In Sky Valley, they went across 19th, down 3 telephone poles and then across Norman, to install in my home. Previously, I had Jetwire in Sky Valley. The internet was OK but slower . The main reason I switched was to get faster speeds and dependable phone service. I have had Spectrum for just 7 years. The rate started at 49.99 a month and is now $94.99 a month for internet service only. I got a fiber service with another provider. But, to have my Spectrum account and service turned off, I had to sit on hold for 26+ minutes. Once I got a service person, I was badgered for another 20 minutes about why I am canceling, discouraging stories about the provider I was now with in an attempt to get me to stay with them. I was told they can't turn my service off until I answer a series of question, really! Once the representative agreed to cancel my service, she put me on a brief hold, 6 minutes to cancel the service, again really! I just don't understand how this is good service. The only thing reliable about spectrum internet is daily outages. Everyday, random outages for 15 minutes at a time. also, when I signed up I was constantly pushed to add cell service. I mean, really aggressive. Had to call back for another reason and then THEY pushed it to the point of starting to sign me up for that without me even wanting it. In defense of the employees, there are not enough to handle the customer flow. That said I highly recommend an appointment. But with that you will still wait. My visit was for an associate who needed equipment exchanged. So I could not get an appointment. I got there with 13 customers waiting. It took them 30 minutes to service just 2. There were 2 agents most times but they'd leave and return. Then seemingly stare at their computer for minutes. Not sure what's happening there but for folks waiting it adds to the frustration. This is a very poor way to retain customers let alone get new ones. Horrible / frustrating wait times. Again I don't blame the agents. It's management / corporate. Well, I had to return to the same location for another visit to make a payment for a client. I arrived happy to see only a few folks waiting and two at the counter. Two agents working. I put my name into the cue and waited... waited... waited... a FULL HOUR later they were STILL with the same two customers when I walked in. I see many BAD reviews about Spectrum. I have to totally agree. I just have basic cable. Two TV's. We have soooo many outages and many can be hours and hours. It is so very annoying. I am in central N.C. My bill keeps rising with no changes to my service. I only picked 15 channels to avoid increasing prices, but still get the run around. Today I called about another outage and my bill. I was told for 6 months I would have a $5.00 decrease. Shortly after hanging up after that conversation, I got an email showing my new charges will be nowhere near the $5.00 decrease quote. More lie $1.00 and change I will see when the actual bill arrives. I would never have internet, phone or anything else with Spectrum as just basic Tv Cable is a disaster. read more

Spectrum has great internet we have been with them since Time Warner Cable changed to Spectrum and we have never had problems with the internet. Also just recently went in few weeks ago and now i have an upgraded MGB of internet and walked out with a new phone all for a great promotion bundle! Customer service was great! Unfortunately, I was 3 days into the new billing cycle when I called to disconnect. I am loving TMobile's internet service for $30/month - higher speeds and they say that the price will never be increased. Do yourself a favor and DUMP SPECTRUM. They give zero s***ts about their loyal customers and will continue to increase the cost of substandard services. It's no wonder these guys get such bad reviews. They are thieves. I signed up for a promotional offer and paid cash for a brand new phone based on that promotion being honored. I even took screenshots of the valid promotion and verified when purchasing the new iPhone on the phone with the representative that the promotional amount would apply. Later, they did not honor it, and they denied that the promotion was valid, and additionally, wouldn't make it right with a credit of that amount. I would not have bought the product through them had I known they were going to pull this. We have had other problems with Spectrum along the way, and just would not recommend them.
