Trying to switch/upgrade phones, using the online services for info before venturing into the Temple storefront. So far, 2 out of 3 reps have succeeded in naffing me off enough to end the call before I got everything answered. This is after two free range salesmen ghosted me after vowing to "I'll take care of the switch and upgrade". So far only one phone rep. has been helpful, without giving me the creepy skivvy salesman vibe. Will update after my store visit, hopefully the rating will improve. read more

Let me start by saying, I don't mind waiting if a store is busy. I get it, I have worked retail and understand. What I don't understand is when there are four to five people waiting to be helped and all the employees just stare at you. This was totally unacceptable for customer service and Spectrum should do something about it. I would have done everything online if the option was there. I waited 40 minutes to get three minutes of help. This is not my first rodeo in this store, same thing happened before. What shocked me the most my first trip here was while this woman sat on her butt a trainee was helping me. When he asked for the password, she looked around and then pulled a post it note out of the trash and said, here it is. (Never getting off her rear end) Wait! What? You just pulled the password that protects our information out of the trash. We don't have options besides Spectrum for internet or I would have ran my rear out of there. Be careful with this company. They have NO customer service and will not protect your account. She checked in just to drop off equipment that had a baby roach as soon as we opened the box that was delivered. His response " we don't take equipment drop offs" when the spectrum rep via telephone said you can drop off equipment at your nearest spectrum office if FedEx Or UPS is not close by. read more

I have finally realized that this is nothing but a sales point for Spectrum, and the assistance obtained for malfunctioning devices is scant. Also, employees will say anything to sell a phone. I was in this store yesterday helping a friend with her phone and the guy helping us was talking about the phone she was getting and I said I might want the same one. He said there was a "deal" going on with only 5 dollar payment and THEY would absorb the taxes and upgrade fee. I said I would think about it, but when I went in today to get the phone, I was told that that is not true. I didn't get the employees name and when I described the guy to the person helping us, he said he could not give his name, and that I could not get a message to him. What is so private? Anyway, I don't feel comfortable in the store, and would probably only buy my phone from Spectrum online. I am not the decision maker and told her no very stern. In fact I said DO NOT schedule an install and made it very clear pricing was all i wanted. At 2 pm that same day a technician showed up to install internet. If I could give zero stars I would. This is the worse cable service ever. I had Grande but switched to Spectrum because of the cost. Single person, 1 DVR and 2 regular boxes and my bill was $299 a month. Switched to Spectrum, no boxes just use a streaming servicing. It takes almost a minute to connect, doesn't always record shows and it constantly buffering. The bill is $135 a month. I guess you get what you pay for. I've had it drop out in the middle of exams multiple times and had to tether to my phone to complete the exams. That's bullshit. First I go to the local Spectrum store to ask a question about hotspots, then spent 10 minutes being told why I needed to get Spectrum Mobile and how my two GSM phones would work on their (Verizon) network. Not true. Then 30 minutes on the phone concerning not being able log onto a Spectrum hotspot, 15 minutes with a technician who four times asked the stupid questions over and over leading me call Grande and then Spectrum and on February 3, 2020 Spectrum is out of my house. read more

My internet router went out so i called the num for support and the rep said that no one would come out until the next day or i could take the equipment into the closest spectrum store to exchange it. I needed my internet so i decided to take it to the store off of 31st in Temple, Tx. The phone rep talked me into ordering mobile service while she had me on the phone. Said that with trade in of my iphone 7 I would be getting $600. off of a $899. phone leaving a monthly $8. & some change payment towards the phone added to a $29.00 cell service. Along with Spectrum TV, Upgraded faster home internet, & home phone service my total monthly bill would be no more than $110 each month. It sounded like a deal so I agreed and then all of the sudden my iphone 7 wasn't eligible for the trade in & $600. off so now I have to pay the full $899. for the phone. Now making my monthly bill no more than $130 a mo. Still a good deal with all thats included, right? The faster upgraded internet, tv, home phone and mobile service plus new phone. So she took payment for the phones taxes said and got all said agreed and signed via docusign. Now I'm headed to get the new router & modem. When I get to the store I check in and look around while I wait. Then I get to thinking if I have to pay full rice for the phone then I want the Iphone pro which is the same price so once I get what I came for I ask the in store rep about changing my order to be delivered and getting a different phone (same price) right there in store. She said yes and looked up my account. She reads everything off to me and said totally different then what I went over with the call rep. Now its's NOT a monthly total of $130. its two separate bills entirely one for around $80. plus tax & fee's for mobile and one for everything else at $130. plus tax & fee's. I was there the better part of the day with the in store rep, store manager & team trying to get this resolved. It took a long time & we were able to get my bill down to where I needed it to be and the services that I needed. I just want to thank the team for taking the time to do this and for being so pleasant while doing it. From this point forward I will take my issues in store and give an over all five stars for the customer service !! read more

A technician from Spectrum came to install my internet on 2/24. Initially he was unable to figure out how the underground cables were run and the builder of the home had to show him that they run underground. After that, the tech pulled the cables and snapped them in half. These were the underground cables that run from the tap in the yard. I called spectrum and was told maintenance would be out the next day to repair them but it could take up to 3 days. I followed up after 3 days and was told it could be 7-10 more business days. I followed up again the following week and was told that maintenance came out and there was no tap. They closed my initial ticket with no communication to me about what the issue was, no confirmation that they addressed the issue, and no notification that the ticket was closed. I explained to them that the tap was in the front yard and that the original tech was working in it when he broke the lines, so obviously there is a tap there. They sent me to maintenance who told me it would be another 7 business days but that they would expedite it and have it done in 3-4 days. I followed up once again and was told that I needed to go back to serviceability. Once again my ticket was closed with no communication to me. I explained that there is a tap and I've already spoken with serviceability and was told service was not an issue, maintenance just needs to repair the lines that a SPECTRUM EMPLOYEE broke. I was told again it could be 7 business days. I have called in at least 5 tickets at this point with no resolution. Each ticket has been closed with no communication to me. Dispatch called me tonight, left a voicemail to a number that doesn't go to their department, and told me to call back. After calling the number they left, I'm told I can't call dispatch and they will try calling me again. On every ticket I've called in, dispatch has not once tried multiple times to reach me despite promises from customer service that they will do so. I am paying for a security system and online streaming that can't be used. I work from home and have to pay to work at coffee shops daily. This is unacceptable and Spectrum can't seem to fix or take seriously the problem THEY caused by having an incompetent tech come to install my internet. I will say that the customer service team is extremely kind and help to the best of their abilities, however the maintenance, dispatch, and technicians can't seem to do their job and get this fixed. If I had any other choices for internet service, I would switch in a heartbeat. I will NEVER recommend Spectrum to anyone! With the exception of customer service, they have been a nightmare to deal with. At this point I don't have high hopes that I will ever have internet service in my home. read more

While the customer service at location was friendly, Spectrum's method for burying a cord directly under the dirt with the line exposed in many spots in the yard leaves me unimpressed. I could deal with this but cannot justify paying the price I'm paying for only a few channels I like (sometimes). The free movies hardly ever change and I spend more time searching for something to watch than actually watching. I call it the show called 'flipping channels.' And why is it after channel 100, all the previous channels (shows under a different channel name) start to repeat? I'm sure there is a logical explanation to this (basic packages vs extended packages), but ultimately I feel this is to give me the impression that I'm receiving more shows than I am. Truly, cable is not a need. Because it's more hassle than it's worth, because it takes me so much time to merely settle for one show, and because it is an expense I could do without...I will do without. read more
