So, on two separate occasions, we waited around for them to come and upgrade us and both times they got here and said they couldn't do it. Why? Because they didn't have fiber available in our area. So we called AT&T and they explained that we were on a hold list and would not be terminated. This was several weeks ago. This morning, without warning, we are without service because they terminated us. When we called and found this out we said we'll have to find a different service. No. You must start the process over again. Is there something wrong with an 800 number with a callback option during normal business hours? Xfinity had the same business model and I just ended up successfully using my Visible hot spot. Sure I like using my smart devices at will. And I barely remember how to use a light switch with my smart plugs but 90 minutes to cancel service is ridiculous. I also got the feeling that the agent was on multiple chats at once. Eek! Methinks not…read more You know something isn't right when the person you are talking to has to put you on hold for a minute to grab a pen and paper. You know it's not good when the person says they cannot help you and someone should get back to you within 24 hours. It is very not good when no one calls you back. You know it's bad when you call during normal business hours and no one picks up. It is even worse when you try throughout the day and no one picks up and there is no answering machine system. You know it's really bad when you finally get through and the person over the phone is asking you what company are you calling for, netwalk or another company. You know it's going from bad to worse when you are told that any help the company gives you will be charged for as a consulting fee. You know it's a sham when the IT guy is recommending an inferior FTP client that costs $60 when FileZilla is better and free. You know it's disturbing when you can call up and get info on your company (and access to your webpage files / servers) without verifying any information on who I was. You know when it's ironic when a hosting company has broken image files on their on website and hasn't been updated in years. You know when the company is a joke when they are advertising Windows 2000 servers with a total space of 2 terabytes and 1 gigabyte of RAM. The technology their using is over 15 years old and could not compete with my laptop. And you know when it is time to switch hosting companies when you see they have a D- rating with the Better Business Bureau for overcharging customers, ignoring their requests, and not even answering the complaint.
