I got an email stating if I bought a laundry bag I could get a free wash. Went there , I spent $15.00 to purchase the bag and told her my clothes were in the washer already. She told me it was too late. I needed to buy the bag first and if I wanted to get a free wash I would have to buy a second bag I was shocked! Super cool laundromat! All of the machines are digital, and they can leave you a text message to let you know how much time is left on your machine. It's super modern in super techy. It's my first time seeing anything like it. But honestly, I don't really utilize laundromats that much anymore but I came here specifically to wash some rugs and a huge comforter that I'm putting away now that winter is over. Nevertheless, the place was super clean. The restrooms were very clean and the staff we're all super friendly and helpful if you got confused on how to operate some of the digital settings. 10/10 for me! Definitely competing with the worlds largest laundromat in Berwyn Illinois which is my favorite laundromat but I don't live in that area anymore. Hopefully they will do some of the same things like free pizza day on Wednesdays and entertainment for the kids one day a week that would be super cool, especially because there is a pizza parlor literally a block away. Also, dollar tree shares a parking lot with this laundry mat so if you forget, anything you can easily go over there to get it for only a dollar. read more

This location use to be my favorite until it wasn't it's been very hot inside 2 hours of doing laundry was horrible with the heat and I can't imagine the workers working long hours WITH NO CONTROL of changing the temperature. Convenience isn't always good. Although this was my error in paying for a machine at a different location. The app doesn't pick up that you are at a different location so I lost money and points used that I'm trying to get back. Also I think it would make more sense to have one Spanish speaking employee and one English speaking. Do I really want someone else translating who may not translate correctly and in fact he wasn't. He wasn't even telling the lady what I was saying. Also you need a code for the bathroom...huge inconvenience. As long as I have a car I'll be sticking with the Grand location. BAD EXPERIENCE!!!! Don't go. Save your time . i was busy at work and didn't notice I left my phone unlocked. speed queen being one of the latest downloaded apps was on front home page . App opened up and started a washer machine 01 .I later called The laundry mat ti explained what happened the lady was kind and understood at first but told me she didn't know what to do because that didn't happen before and took my information to inform her manager. manager never contacted me . I had told employees I wouldby be able to go anytime soon because of busy schedule and I had just washed clothes there couple days before. When I finally go I told her who I was and that I had spoken to her about situation. I knew Exactly who I had spoken to. Well she calls her manager to ask what to do and manager told her to tell me that's my fault that I had to press buttons and turn on machines and I she couldn't do nothing about it she didn't hesitate to tell me whatever it was it's my fault and they won't give me a reimbursement or nothing even after the day I spoke to her she's the one that confirmed machine was on ,paid for and I wasn't there on laundry mat. I wanted to speak to manager personally and she didn't want to call her. She told me she won't speak to you and she will tell you the same . So unprofessional not trying to hear and comprehend. it's not about the money but this can happen to anyone else and nothing will be done . Now I won't go there again and deleting app. Sometimes todlers Use phones and can turn on machines for example or any other reason They won't care. There was another time I reloaded card I had 50 dollars on card . decided to go to other speed queen on Fullerton and oak park I had my clothes inside just to find out I can't use the card there because different owners . I went in to see if this was going to be a place I could use in my neighborhood. I do not like laundromats that use loaded cards and this is the next step forward down the path: you can either load a card or download their app and pay via your phone, after loading your app account with money. Do not care for this level of risk to do a few loads of laundry. You are potentially now tying up cash that sits in their app and potentially exposing your payment method to security risk also via the app. When I visited there was absolutely no info available or posted about pricing per load (washer or dryer) and the only lady working (lovely and happy though she seemed) spoke only Spanish. I went online onto the website to find out about pricing, and I also tried to find info through the app (short of downloading it). Again, no actual pricing info available. Also, free WiFi required you to enter your email address to access. Again, so unnecessary to do a couple of loads of laundry. This is all a "no" for me. I'll stick with a low risk, pricing up front and forward, friendly place with help available to answer questions. And no commitment of private contact or payment information to use the service. Quarters are not a problem for me!! Very clean, incredibly spacious place. Not many people there on a Friday, midafternoon. That could be perfectly normal. Wish them luck but I went just down the street back to the Mom and Pop place that is super friendly and helpful and I can choose my price point on the size of washer for my needs, with prices posted on every single machine. Many of them commercial Speed Queen machines. I recommend for this Speed Queen location that they consider offering a cash option at this place (without use of loaded cards or apps that invariably have unspent cash left on them that is ultimately wasted).
