The driver was genuinely nice. Met with Brian. He was upfront and honest with me about the cost and repairs. He was even able to start working on the car that day. They replaced the battery and alternator. They even drive me back and forth to work. This was huge because I didn't have to get a rental. A week later a coolant hose was leaking. Same professionalism. They replaced the hose and give me a ride to and from work. This was great! Not many companies would do this. A week or so later the new alternator failed. My car died in my driveway. They drive 30+ mins plus, picked up the car, and replaced the alternator as well as driving me to and from work again. All free of charge! *note: this review is from almost a year before the date here -- it got saved as a draft and I…read moreforgot to hit "post." we have since lodged a complaint with AAA-NY about this guy.* AAA cursed us with this mansplaining clown. Bennie left us hanging for EIGHT HOURS. He came, looked at our car, and said his truck was "too big" to tow it through a narrow accessway. Over the course of a long and complicated "explanation," he said he would come back with a smaller truck in an hour... then another hour ... then he stopped picking up the phone and never got back to us. He left us completely stranded. AAA said that we had to wait for him or arrange our own tow. And Bennie never responded. Finally, in desperation we decided to pay out of pocket for a tow, and called MGM Towing. They simply put the car in neutral and pushed it through the narrow part and towed it -- using a truck significantly larger than Bennie's. This all took ten minutes flat -- about half the time we wasted just listening to Bennie's convoluted excuses. I know AAA sucks especially in NY state, and probably doesn't pay these guys much, and I can understand trying to run a little hustle, but this tow guy was absurdly late and completely incompetent. I would've tipped him 50 bucks just to have had the job done without waiting 6 hours and being stood up in the end. If AAA sends you this guy, call someone else.
