I spoke to a man the night before picking up my car from this towing shit show, he quoted me $275 to pick up the next day which was okay. Came to pick it up and this other loser tried quoting me $380 !!! Made him double check and told him about my phone call with the other man the night before suddenly i was right and it was $240. After doing a lot of running around shopping, I was on my final leg of my journey heading home. Of course 95 southbound in CT was actually flowing a t a fairly good clip. Just after exit 2 my car decides to go into limp mode. Thankfully I was in the right lane because my car stalled. Called Geico they got me connected to RJB Towing. Only because Geico couldn't get my exact location, I called and spoke with Russell. He could not have more professional. Well we got my location corrected he assured a truck would get to me within the hour. While waiting for the tow, one of those "HElP" trucks just drove right past me without a blink. These guys saved me!! I had a flat in my driveway Sunday morning on a late model Cadillac SUV. I know how to change a flat, but the wheels are too heavy on that vehicle. I waited over 3 hours for Cadillac Roadside Assistance with just ridiculous phone calls and a complete inability on their part to find a service person. I finally gave up and called RJB after looking at Yelp. They arrived in 20 minutes, changed the tire in 15 minutes, took the other for repair and returned it with reinstallation the next day. WORST EXPERIENCE - They tried to SCAM me for CASH ONLY $200 more than what we agreed to! My insurance company called me and said they had arranged for a tow, they were going to cover $50 and I would have to cover $70 via credit car when the driver arrived. Then, I get a call from my insurance company that the place the repair shop they took it to was closed and said they would house it for me over night for an additional $30 and in the morning they would take it to the repair shop. The driver called me and I confirmed it was ok to house it overnight for an additional $30 fee. The following morning, I called to confirm the $30 fee and the taking it to the repair shop. By 2pm the shop still didn't have it so I called RJB again. They said they were taking it right then. By 4:30 when the garage was closing the owner of the garage did me the curtesy of calling to let me know he was closing but could wait if they could get the car there in the next 1/2 an hour. When I called RJB, they said they they now needed $60 for the overnight storage and an additional $170 to drive it to the station, a total of $230 in CASH!!!! I asked them why did it change from $30 to $60 and he claimed that there is a sign on his wall that said $60. I reminded him that I had never been into his shop and that I had text messages both from my insurance and from his driver that it was $30 and via credit card and that no where did he say he would charge me a new tow. Then I asked him if last night the tow cost $120 ($50 my insurance paid +$70 on my credit card) to go 5 miles and now to go 2 mile to the service station he wanted to charge me $170. He told me if you want I can take it to my friend who owns a service station and he can add it to your bill when he fixes your car. Fortunately, I wised up to his scam, hung up with him explained to my insurance company and they dealt with him without another dime coming out of my pocket. read more

Never in my life have I witnesssed a driver who intentionally damaged a car while the owner was present, almost release the car being towed onto said vehicle but then proceed to use foul language and hurl insults at women. By this young man's behavior I can only assume that he was raised by animals or doesn't have a mother or grandmother at home since he felt it was appropriate to walk back into a woman's personal space. The audacity and sense of entitlement was absurd & all of this was done with a smirk on his face. Terrible customer service. Originally was told to wait up to 55 minutes, and that their guy was finishing up another job and would be there soon. After waiting for 75 minutes I called and the office rep Russell was very dismissive and lied about traffic saying the tow truck was in town and on its way and it's just 'that time of day'. It was 3pm. 30 minutes later I called and was told the same thing, stuck in traffic another 30 minutes. Service had to be canceled since no one showed up, office rep was rude and very unprofessional. This is the first time I had ever needed my car towed and I was linked up with RJB through the Hyundai Roadside Assistance. I requested that I receive updates through text, but I called their number and asked if it would be okay to call me when they leave. They complied and I got both text updates as well as a nice phone call. They were very patient with all my questions. The driver was extremely pleasant and knew that if he took me all the way to the dealer I would be there way over an hour and they would most likely make me pay for a new tire instead of just plugging the hole made from an intrusive screw. Instead, he filled my tire up as much as possible and told me to try a gas station before we went to the dealership. Once the mechanic determined it was possible to plug the hole, I expected my driver to leave. He didn't, he told me he would stay until the job was done in order to insure that a trip to the dealer would not be necessary. Once everything was over, he drove away before I could get his name or give him a well deserved tip. Overall, this service was very nice and you can tell that their drivers do care about the quality of care you and your vehicle receive. In the future, if roadside assistance is needed, I will be requesting RJB Towing. read more

RJB was dispatched to fix my dead battery as part of my Geico Coverage, Soon after they arrived I explained to the driver who arrived in a sedan with a battery pack to give me a boost, he then tried to give me a boost to my vehicle, my vehicle won't start I told him if he had cables to do a boost battery to battery since his battery pack wasn't stating my vehicle; he then told me he doesn't do that and that I need to change my battery for a new One and that my vehicle has electrical problems I forgot to mention my vehicle is a 2018; What kind of roadside service is that???? I then told him to leave because I'm not replacing the battery when I know the only thing I need it is just a boost; I then called Geico explained the situation and I told them to send me somebody else then another guy from RJB towing called me back with ATTITUDE and told me THEY CAN'T DO NOTHING FOR ME and then called Geico again and I told them to send me another tow company they then send me a Crown Towing Service which the guy was very helpful he came in a real TOW truck not in a vehicle and he did gave me a boost and my car started right away and told me my car did not have any electrical problems like they said at the beginning this guys from RJB Towing are a rip off I hate SCAMMERS DON'T DO any business with this people because they will rip you off (RUN), if you called for a boost and your car doesn't start right away be prepared they want to sell you a battery right away; we are in difficult times and this people from RJB Towing All they want is to SCAMM People our here, I will never want to do any business with this people. read more

I had a great experience. There were rattling sounds coming from underneath my vehicle, and under the advice of my dealership I requested a towing service through geico. It did take 1.5 hours for them to arrive to my location, but I understood that I was a bit further out from them. The first thing the tow truck driver did when he arrived was ask what was wrong with my car. He checked my car and actually fixed the issue himself, and my car didn't need to be towed! Service was fine but I was screwed on the price. The tire place was only six miles away and I was supposed to pay for the excess above three miles covered by AAA. I was forced to pay for six miles because the dispatcher said it was nine miles total which is IMPOSSIBLE since we arrived in ELEVEN MINUTES in a tow truck with a car in tow along side streets. I tried to explain that we used a shortcut other than what he found on google maps (I wish I had clocked the mileage) but he didn't care. Even the driver, who was very nice, confirmed that it wasn't that far but because his hands were tied he was forced to overcharge me. I was also never informed that a penalty would be assessed for using a debit card. AAA contacted the company who still refused to refund the small difference. I disputed the charge with my bank and will not let this one go because principle matters. DO NOT use these people. If your roadside assistance carrier or insurance company indicates that RJB is being dispatched, ask for someone else. I hope the $17 that RJB beat me for will cost the company a hundred times that in bad karma. read more
