This is a terrible, terrible shuttle service as part of Costco Travel. You can't find employees-no shirts, no name tags, no ID. I called the "help" number and was told I had to "take a little responsibility" to find the driver. So I had to leave my companion in a wheelchair to go ask random parked vehicles to finally find our ride. Don't use Costco Travel service. They don't hold their vendors accountable. read more

I honestly don't know why Speedi Shuttle gets such a bad wrap. Every time we come to the islands, we always use Speedi Shuttke and have a great experience. Our drivers are always on time, safe, and friendly. With that being said, we just arrived back home from a great trip to Kona, and Speedi Shuttle was part of that. Normally, I always check Yelp before I use an out of state service, but I didn't have time and went ahead and booked Speedi Shuttle through the Expedia app. I received an email confirmation of my reservation and just hoped for the best upon my arrival. They even confirmed with me prior to my flight, so that was a good sign. When I arrived in Kona, I walked off the plane and headed towards baggage claim, where they said they'd be. As soon as I walked over there, there was a lady with a sign, as promised. She said that the shuttle would be arriving shortly and that they were waiting for a few more people. Once the shuttle arrived, after a short wait, she said we could board. The driver helped to load luggage and we all got in. The shuttle was clean and smelled good. The drive was nice and the driver was friendly. We also arranged for a ride to the airport at the end of our trip. They arrived on time and sent a text when they were close to let us know to meet them outside. It was a good experience with them. I'd definitely use them again, as it appears that they improved from prior reviews left. read more

We had one booked to pick us up from the Kona airport when we arrived and they no showed and when I called, they told us they would refund us because they didn't have any shuttles available. Really?!!! Now we're getting ready to go back to the airport (a month later) and they actually confirmed with us the night before and yet an hour after our pickup time we are On Hold 30 minutes and counting because no one ever answers the phone and we are having to book a taxi to get us to the airport. Ridiculous that they even bother to book appointments they can't keep. Very unprofessional!! Puts customers in a bad position. And for those who want me to be empathetic about current circumstances... I'm fine with giving people grace but DO NOT take business you can't handle! KEEP LOOKING - UNRELIABLE I had booked this service months ago for my daughters hoping for peace of mind and safety. Their plane was on time and they stood around waiting for 40 minutes until a police officer came by and advised they call an Uber because he airport was closing in 10 minutes. The officer noted that SpeediShuttle is notorious for not showing up. Needless to say, I am extremely disappointed and quite mad. I was hoping to provide safety for my daughters who were traveling alone for the first time, and instead they were abandoned late at night by this crappy company. Long wait times and then one time cancelled on us ... on the way to the airport (despite communication with them the day before by email and receiving confirmation). DO NOT BOOK!!! DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE! IT WILL MAKE YOUR TRIP A NIGHTMARE. I used their service from Kona to Hilton Waikoloa round trip. The way to the hotel was Ok, driver friendly and all. My mistake was choosing a round trip. First it took them 2 days after I payed to send the confirmation and receipt. And only did that after I called, twice. Our flight back was at 10pm, we had scheduled for them to pick us up at 8pm. . Then, no one showed to pick us up. I had to find an Uber 8:40 and almost lost my flight. I called them and the person lied to me multiple times, and then said that I actually didn't have a reservation with them. One of the worse experiences I ever had. I used this shuttle service as part of my Costco vacation package to the Big Island. When the shuttle arrived at the airport I waived down the driver and confirmed that I was the pick up. He continued to check something on his phone, there was no urgency or courtesy, which was fine because I figured he was busy trying to contact his other passengers. Seconds later, a Caucasian couple came and confirmed their pick up. I guess this sparked an urgency for the driver and in the blink of an eye he sprung into action. Even though I was first he served the Caucasian couple before me. Very disappointing to be treated like this, as a minority. I will never use this company again. Also, it is nearly impossible to reach anyone on the customer service line which is unacceptable. Other than that the driver was relatively timely and I arrived to the hotel safely. read more

We booked Speedi Shuttle through a third party service for airport pick up and return. They arrived for the airport pickup. For the airport return, we were scheduled to be picked up at 5:30 AM. We confirmed the pick up the day prior. No one showed up to take us to the airport. The office did not open until 8 am. There was not a 24 hour number to call. When we called asking for a refund they refused saying we needed to go through the third party service and said they had no record of the problem. They made us spend $350 in taxis and airline changes because we missed our flight due to their negligence. read more

We arranged hotel to airport transfer. They contracted a taxi company to complete the trip. I got a confirmation call the day before, and the driver called early to let me know he was running a little late. After 15 minutes, I called him, and apparently he had come and gone, and had just picked up other random people without checking their names. He basically said, oh, sorry, go to the hotel front desk and request a taxi. No one answered the number Speedi shuttle provided in the confirmation email. The driver was very apologetic but that really didn't help us when we were over an hour later to the airport than planned. He even said he wondered when it was the wrong number of people! Good thing Uber had someone close by. I see the reviews now and wish we had booked Roberts. read more

They are always "15 minutes late" which really means waiting for HOURS until one of their several shuttles feels bad and finally takes you to your destination. Planned in advance for speedishuttle to pick up from the airport and drop off at the Royal Kona Resort. My flight arrived at 2:50 pm. SpeediShuttle was scheduled to be there at 3:05 pm, I waited at the designated area but no shuttle was around. I called at 3:23, and asked about the shuttle, they said the shuttle is on its way and I should be hearing from the driver soon. About 10 minutes later the driver called and said he was about 15 minutes away. By 3:45 I called the driver to get his eta, he then apologized and said he was still driving in traffic. He couldn't give me an eta, he did mention if I wanted to cancel I could call speedishuttle and see about cancelling. At this point I was upset and had dinner plans with the rest of my group who had arrived at the same time but was smart enough to take an Uber and arrived to the hotel 25min later. I called to cancel but was told it was too late. Needless to say I had to wait, the driver showed up at 4:05, somewhat apologized and got us to the hotel by 4:30. What ever you do avoid this company. We could not rent a car because they were all sold out on the island so we decided to use a shuttle. We paid for 2 car seats to get our toddlers to the hotel safety. Well the driver at first told me they didn't have car seats. Then he produced two of the oldest, nastiest and expired car seats. He did not know how to install. They could not latch and wobbled back and forth so bad they may as well not have had them them at all. I called the main 1-800 with no answer. We were stranded unless we went with this mess. Not a good start to our trip after an extremely long flight. Never again. Do not use this unethical company. read more

They charged me $58 to take a shared ride to the airport while it costs $60 to take your own cab. Because it's a shared ride, they pick up much earlier than taking your own cab and you have to wait at the airport for an extra $2. The customer service wasn't very friendly when I called either. This review is a late review, we used this service in June. Terrible customer service in the actual shuttle. Coming from the airport we walked towards the van and asked if he had our reservation and he told us no initially. 10 minutes goes by and we ask if another van is coming for our party three. His response "I'm waiting for party three for ***." Which was our party of course. Strike one. Then the driver kept trying to drop us off at the wrong property location and wanted us to catch the hotel shuttle back to our room. He actually argued with us about the different hotel properties and where our destination was. Just a backwards way of thinking and very frustrating. Shuttle services seemed limited and Uber isn't as popular on the big island, but please find another service if you can. read more

I cancelled this reservation well in advance of my arrival - actually a couple of times as I kept getting reminders - but my credit card was charged and there has been no refund. I have confirmation of the cancellation. I cannot get through by phone to get this fixed even though they promise 24 hour service. I get a message that there are no available customer service reps. Worst company ever! I booked 2 shuttles for the 13 people we were traveling with. Got 4 different confirmation #s. 2 shuttles from Kona airport to hotel & 2 for trip back. They never showed at the airport, were on hold for 25 minutes trying to get through to them & decided I'd call once we got to hotel. Got 2 taxis & got to hotel. Never got through to company. Time to go home, 1 shuttle showed up. Thank God we had rented cars because we didn't trust them to show. Some of us took the shuttle & our driver said he wasnt surprised they didn't show. They didn't have drivers. Disputed the charge to my credit card co. Speedishuttle sent them completely different confirmation #s showing we were no shows & they closed dispute. I never got to use the service because my family of five would end up paying 15% more than a taxi. There are taxis parked outside of our hotel so I do not have to worry about being picked up late. I actually called Speedishuttle to see if they would consider offering me a lower price for my business, but got a "sorry, I do not set the prices" response. She did not even bother to elevate my request after I tried to explain that the taxi fare to the airport was 15% less when there are 5 travelers. They should consider a price break for larger parties...it is not like they cannot accomodate them. This service would actually make sense with 3 people or less in a party, but because we are 5, we will end up taking a taxi. read more

I had bad experience with this service. I booked the shuttle couple of week in advance and gave all the details of my flight. We arrived at 10 pm and started looking for the shuttle. Called them couple of times and was assured that driver is just around the corner and will meet me just in 5 minutes. After an hour I called them again and found out that no one is going to meet me as they put wrong info into the system. Yak. Had to take taxi to the hotel. The call center person Justin was very nice and that helped me to keep calm. He promised that the manager will call me next morning to apologize and compensate for wasted hour and $60 taxi ride. I have a place next to the Royal Kona Resort so I've taken Speedi 4 or 5 times to the airport. They've always shown up a few minutes early and the drivers are nice. They text you a link to follow your van by gps That said-- this is Kona. People work two jobs and scramble to get by. So employers sometimes get more scheduling conflicts than you may be used to "back home". Their app guides you to allow LOTS of time and you're wise to do so read more

Loved this experience! From the moment we were greeted, everyone was kind, helpful, and genuinely seemed to care about making the beginning of our stay memorable. Our greeter was welcoming and cheerful, and our driver was talkative the entire way to the hotel, telling us about some of the history and his experiences growing up on the island, what sights we shouldn't miss, and how to make the most of our trip. Sadly, I don't remember his name, but I remember his easy smile and excitement for his city and his island. Looks like some people got bad experiences with them. We didn't! Speedishuttle was on time, not expensive for the area - Kona airport to Sheraton $38 for 2 people, and the driver (Steven) was really awesome. We lost prescriptions glasses in the shuttle, and the driver found them, and returned them to the office. However for some reason the office wasn't able to find them. Couple of days later, we received a call from Steven, saying he found them again and mailed them to us in SF. Anyways on time, very friendly staff, and decent price. read more

Just take a cab! It's about the same price and you have a much better chance of actually ariving at the airport on time. Our shuttle left 40 minutes late and the driver did not seem to care at all, even though we told him we needed to leave soon. We still kept waiting for a party that was apparently lost somewhere in the same building, even though he had already talked to them on the phone long ago and it turned out they were sitting in the lobby right by the car and he had walked by them probably 10 times but apparently didn't think to call our their party name. He actually suggested we might be able to get a cab (instead of taking the shuttle we already paid $60 for), and then said "I hope you make your flight." I hope? I never write reviews but Speedi shuttle in Kona is so bad that I felt compelled to write one. We got to the airport and they were nowhere in sight. We walked up and down the airport asked no where we could find the shuttle, finally an hour later we eventually found a shuttle which wasn't ours in the first place but they took us to our hotel. There was multiple people with the same problem we were having. At the end of our trip we tried to confirm our reservations for a hotel pickup, no one answered the phone. We tried contacting them through email, left messages on their voicemail and we never got a response. We waited for them to show up at the hotel and they never showed. We had to get an Uber to the airport which was also a long wait because of the scarcity of ubers on the island at this time. We missed our flight and had to fly to a neighboring island to get home 6 hours later. If you can avoid Speedi shuttle in Kona do so. read more
