The bigger challenge for me was the layout and ordering process. The location is drive-through only and the traffic flow felt pretty hectic with cars trying to move in different directions. It made the experience feel rushed and a little stressful, especially for someone visiting for the first time. I was also expecting the drizzle and toppings shown in the menu photos, but my drink didn't include them, so it ended up tasting more like a basic iced coffee. The staff member who took my order was polite, but everything moved quickly and there isn't much of a menu to review unless you look it up online beforehand. I knew I had come for a hot dog and the folks behind the counter were patient while I decided on a side item, ultimately settling on onion rings. I hung out until they handed me a paper bag with my order. I had parked right out front so I didn't have far to go to enjoy my lunch. Everything (especially the onion rings) was really hot. The footlong was really good. The dog itself might have been fried and it was great to see pretty full coverage across the full dog. Onion rings were pretty greasy, as evidenced by the dark spot soaking through the paper bag. They were tasty though. I did go back in to ask for an extra couple ketchup packets. If I'm in the area, I'd return to Goody Shop cafe and try some of their other offerings.

They've got some of those old school candy jars and have a decent selection of cones and flavors for the ice cream. We loved the moose track flavor. The outside has a nice old school checkers board and seats for stoopin. This store sells things like local bbq sauces, honeys, and other speciality goods. They have some kids toys and a few other basic grocery items as well but perhaps as expected given their rural location and types of products it is not cheap. This place has a real community vibe and in non-covid times they have music and other gatherings with the great little outdoor space. Would love to come back and check that out as well as say hello again to the friendly staff.
