I echo the other reviews about the attendants, the guy hitting on girls at night is creepy and I don't feel comfortable going to this location anymore. The one man who works inside is nice, but this location for some reason (maybe it's proximity to the highway?) attracts some seedy patrons. Stopped at this gas station last night and the attendant was chatting with me and called me beautiful. He asked about my name, where I lived, and relationship status (none of which I gave him). He proceeded to asked for my phone number and I repeatedly told him no. The "no" I was responding with did not seem to matter to him. Very uncomfortable and did not feel safe. read more

So many positives to talk about. FIrst off, it is the easy access right off of 287. It is the best option to stop for gas between Mahwah and Somerset for access ease. Next, friendly staff both inside the store and at the pumps. The price for gas here is slightly higher, which is why I take off the star from a perfect 5 star. They do however give the same price for both credit or cash transactions. I am usually here once a week to 10 days. read more

The energy and personal attention from the young man (his name starts with at T) is always a welcome addition to the chore of getting fuel. I don't know that I'd go there without him! Prices are awful everywhere. Rising costs with no end in sight is the worst. This guy makes it a little more bearable. read more

Incredibly slow service and rude staff. Expect to spend 20 minutes (yes, at a gas station). The employees don't care and will ignore you. The only way I get them to attend to me is by blasting music they don't like (usually Lady Gaga, girly pop or Euro Trance) to annoy them so they get me done quicker. read more

Speedway in Booton has some interesting characters employed there. On a positive note is their $1 iced 16oz coffee. It's basically the only reason I stop there. read more

I've used this gas station three times since I moved to NJ. First two times, my gas was pumped and the workers were polite. One pump guy was very nice, complimenting my nice car and striking simple chitchat. Then tonight, I was horrified. I waited 10 minutes for someone to come pump for me, and at first just took my card and started the pump, but when he came back he said to me "Hey pretty girl, I like you, I want to fuck you. Yes? I had to double take what he said at first, because I thought I misheard, but it was clear as day. What a creep! read more

Oh my gosh! This station might have been a lifesaver for us! When we asked to try and find a city and asked the attendant, although he didn't know where this city was in his state (famous Hoboken, NJ) but he told us to go inside. That's okay. I went in with the directions that we were flustered at. The first person who I ran into was another Hess employee who might not have worked at this station at this particular time, , but knew a bit about the area. He greeted me with a smile and acknowledged that I potentially had a question, as I walked past him. I knew he was just the right person to ask. Although he ended up giving me the information I needed, I was able to find a suitable location. He even talked us through how to get back to the interstate, and we ended up almost following him through to the next direction on the directions sheet (which were super-confusing to say the least!) And because this was Jersey where gas is always cheaper than New York and because I didn't have to get out to pump my own gas (full service) I really enjoyed this pumping experience. Thanks. Although you didn't go above and beyond. it was still pleasurable to know that your employees can explain to people where this information can be found. read more

SCAM alert! Can I give this station negative stars? Twice I've been there, paid with cash, and the attendant claimed he didn't have change.... e.g. The total was $51.60, I give him $55 and get $3 back instead of $3.40. I don't have change and am in too much of a hurry to run into the station's convenience store so the attendant pockets 40 cents. I think this is a routine SCAM! It's a very busy station so the attendants could pocket several $ an hour from this. Stay away from this station. Something is amiss here. read more

Poor service now. Really slow. Used to come here and get in and out quickly. The guys working their now do not hustle at all.

Tonight I stop there to get gas and grab a quick snack , and fill up on gas. I waited in line for over 10 minutes while three other people in front of me purchased one lotto ticket two packs of cigarettes and one candy bar. I was only purchasing two donuts. The clerk actually complain that I was using too big of a bag for my donuts, and it was a waste, wow! They only had one bag size. Also BTW, there is a real D&d next door if your patent enough for two stops. read more

I don't come here for gas but once in a while I go in the Hess Store for something real quick in passing. sometimes for a lottery ticket or whatever. the people always seem nice and willing to help people who need help (as I have witnessed). sometimes the parking can be a pain though. all the massive trucks, people walking back and forth, cars getting gas...all that traffic can be frustrating when it comes time to leaving ur parking space. read more

Just purchased a gallon of whole milk from this speedway location for my 4 year old son. The expiration date read 7/12. Upon getting it home, I opened it and immediately recognized that the milk was expired. The gallon was $3.99 and i purchased it out of convenience instead of going to acme. Huge mistake. My husband just tried to return the milk to exchange it for another gallon and was refused by both the store clerk and the manager who both said "it didn't smell bad." I'm not in the business of writing negative reviews or even making returns, but this is an instance where someone could get sick and the manager and staff are playing around with people's health for $3.99. I wasn't even asking for a return of my money- just to exchange it for a fresh gallon of milk. I get my gas at this station every week and out of principle, I will now spend the extra money going to the shell station across the street. This was terrible customer service and a very poorly run business. read more

Two guys manning 8 pumps, really slow and inefficient, and terrible traffic pattern outlay. Avoid this place. We've been here 20 Minutes and just started gassing up. read more

Slowest gas attendants ever. The either need to hire more people or find people that walk faster than a snails pace.

The service is super slow. One time it took me 17 minutes for them to actually to do anything. No lines to fill up just slow attendants.
