AWFUL !!!! This place should get negative stars !! we stopped in to get $50 of gas in our truck ... the gas attendant stood by pump and talked on his phone . When the pump STOPPED it was at $87 !!!!! When my husband complained to the attendant he said we should have been watching the pump !! Words were said back and forth how we SHOULD have been paying attention!!! I went in to find a manager .. the clerk not understanding English pointed to the bathroom !!!! After 3 times he finally understood. He asked how could he fix the problem . I said I want the cash of $37 for the over pump ... no I can't !!! Then a gift card ... no ... I said then how are u going to help me ... I'm not .. I called the police .. they said since the gas was in my tank there was nothing they could do ... look I know mistakes happen .. if the attendant was apologetic and owned the mishap we would have just left but for him to blame us for him not doing his job is completely unacceptable!!!! They BROKE my gas cap. It is not a cheap one either. Even after showing them a receipt they refused to accept responsibility. I will NEVER go there again and I suggest you are very careful. Horrible customer service and breaking my gas cap is not ok! read more

I stopped at this gas station this evening and requested $7 cash of regular gas to be put in as I forgot my credit card at home. I always repeat the amount I want put in twice and this time I even presented the money to the attendant prior to him beginning to pump gas. Mind you, The $7 is the only money I have with me. I am monitoring the screen on the pump and notice its up to $9 and change. I tell the attendant that I clearly asked for $7. He then begins inappropriately cursing and yelling causing an unnecessary scene along with making a threatning joke about police as he saw my vechicle had first responder lights in it. I was very disgusted with his behavior and recommend that he be terminated. This male spoke very broken English. read more

STAY AWAY. These gas station owners are scammers... just as Scott S has said, they give you super when you ask for regular. When you point out the error, they just shrug and refuse to do anything about it. We were rolling through the state on vacation and wanted to fill up before we crossed state lines, what a horrible bit of hospitality from the Garden State. Having lived and worked in NJ for 3 years in the past, this has never happened to me before. I was shocked. This is horrible considering you MUST get full serve in NJ... completely deceptive business practices. Went here Saturday night, a little after 10pm to fill up. The man pumping my gas verbally assaulted me by saying that my perfume was "so terrible it could kill 20 men." And that "whoever told me to buy this perfume was very wrong. " and my personal favorite "how do you say in America? Disturbing! Yes disturbing" Keep in mind i was wearing Chanel coco noir so calm down sir. I couldn't just pull away bc he has my credit card and the gas pump was in the tank. After I told him how rude that was and to stop the gas and give me my card back he didn't say one word. Needless to say I'll stick to shell gas station thanks. read more

I've had a couple of bad experiences at this gas station near my parents' home. Both have to do with the service. Of course, it's illegal in New Jersey to pump your own gas -- who knows why -- and both bad experiences stem from the station attendants here. A while back, I pulled up and asked for a fill-up, regular gas. When my tank was full, I noticed that the attendant had filled me up with *super*! I asked about this, and he argued with me. "Regular super! Just like you ask!" Um, no. Regular... uhh, regular. He wouldn't let it go and wouldn't do anything to make good. (I paid in cash, minus a dollar to make up for the difference.) Then, over Thanksgiving weekend, I came here to fill up before getting back on the road to Boston. After waiting for more than 5 minutes to be served, I got out of my car. One attendant was busily attending to other cars but wouldn't come over to me. In a moment, I saw why. I decided to start filling my tank myself. It seemed that the other attendant had responsibility for my side of the gas station, and he was drinking coffee inside. (Of course, the guy who was in charge of the other tanks continued to ignore me.) The guy in charge of my side came outside when he saw pumping gas on my own, and I asked why it took so long to get service. He told me that they were busy with other customers -- even though he was inside talking to people inside the TigerMart! Again, no apology -- just a severe attitude. Then he walked away and didn't return to help me out -- or any other customers, for that matter. read more

I've been coming to this Exxon for many many years. Everyone is always so pleasant and always smiling, whether it's the gas attendants or the store staff everyone is polite and treats you like a customer should be treated. Sometimes the gas station gets busy because it's the only gas station for miles and miles especially if your driving 287 south and need to stop. I give this Exxon an A+ rating and will continue to use them. It's sad because People always take the time to write only bad reviews, it's very rare people right a good review unless they've received exceptional service. For the amount of people stepping foot into their store or picking up gas on a daily basis. (Id say well well over 1000-2000 people daily my numbers could in fact be on the low end). 2 people had a bad experience. So I wouldn't make a decision based on .0003% of their customers. Everyone's opinion counts but overall the numbers are skewed and you see a lot of customers laughing and smiling and talking to staff because of the friendly workers. You'll be satisfied with the customer service here guaranteed. read more

The Montville Township finally repaved the roads surrounding the gas station. I've filled up from this location since then a few times and don't really have any complaints with entrances and exits. Only downside is one of the senior gas attendants sometimes presses down on my rear spoiler when unlocking/locking the gas cap. It's my car and I never gave a permission to press on it let alone touch it. He should keep his hands away. read more

I pulled up in my work truck at 4:30pm on Tuesday 9/26 and even drove to the pumps where the gas attendants were sitting talking to one another so they wouldn't have far to walk. As I waited to get gas a car pulled to the pumps to my far right and another pulled up to my far left both a good 30 seconds after I was waiting. both attendents walked past my car to help the other customers which I thought was strange but I waited. Than another car pulled up on the far left and the attendant went to him leaving me to sit there. I left with my business van and none of my 4 trucks will go there again. found a nice Delta down the street which is my new station of choice from now on. read more

Excellent service is all I can say! I had a car issue and I was trying to fix it myself at this gas station. The attendant came out and helped me take care of the quick repair. They don't even fix cars here but he was kind enough to lend a hand. read more
