This is a review on a gas station that I have been going to for the last seven years…read more The name is Importech or A B Caldwell. The address is 250 Bloomfield Ave Caldwell, NJ. They offer cheap gas and pay in cash only. On my way home from my vet for my dog, I needed some gas. It was very low. So, I've arrived to the gas station at 250 Bloomfield and like always - I've ask to fill it up "Plus". It was the afternoon gas worker that assisted me. When it was done he came to me and ask for $32 . I paid the amount that was asked and left. As I was driving, I've notice my gas meter was still very low. Like it didn't even move up at all. My fiancee was also with me at the time. So, I did a U turn and went back. I pulled up and told the guy to take a look at my gas meter. He refused. I told him you gave me no gas and took my money and let me drive away. He said, "I don't know what you are talking about and I gave you gas. I've been working here for three years." I said, "so I have been coming here for seven years." What does that have anything to do? He admitting that he knows what he is doing? "I guess???" I told him, "No LOOK at my car's meter -- It has no gas still. Either your pump is boke or my meter is not working." He still he refused to take a look. He said to me, "I will give you your money back and go away." I knew something was up, and this guy was trying to pull a fast one on me. I said, "No way. I asked for a full tank of gas and I didn't get what I've paid for." I told the gas guy, "prove it to me you filled it up? I will pull my car back around to the pump and see if you can put more gas in?" After I've repeated myself like three or four times in a row, he finally got the point. I am not leaving... I pulled around and he put the pump into my car. Guess what! my tank was still empty and filled up to $40. I told him, "why are you robbing people and why are you tying to scam me?" He just ignored the fact that he was wrong. He started to ignore me some more and walked away. The last thing I told him is that he needs to go to church. This guy is evil. I got back into my car with a full tank of gas now. Never again, I will go back there. When I got home, I called the Caldwell police and made a compliant. I don't really have the time to bring them to court and it's kind of of a waste of time. I was told that the police has been there many times before. Caldwell…read more It's highly visible, you can't miss it driving up Bloomfield Ave. I've always been given very prompt and friendly service throughout the last two years. I'm still very happy that NJ doesn't allow self service at the pump :) The gas prices are about the same for the area. If you need a convenience store, there's one right on the premises. The attendant saw me but decided to come out of the booth when the next car pulled up. He then decided to serve that person before me. So I thought, no problem I will not make assumptions. NEXT SITUATION happened to me last night. I parked and went into the store FIRST. A Caucasian female came in after me and stood behind me on my left. The cashier looked over me (somewhat difficult to do since I stand at about 6') acknowledged her first and was ready to serve her. I spoke up by saying...can I have, as I proceeded to ask if he was serious. Not to mention my children have expressed the workers in the store are a bit rude to them yet nice and helpful to their Indian friends. In conclusion MY family and I WILL NOT be spending money there again!
