The space is small, especially with the new fresh food counter, but you can still get the emergency convenience needs like batteries, laundry detergent, and toilet paper. Good selection of snack foods and candy bars. Friendly staff and well lit. They're currently open until about 8:30pm with plans to stay open late once everything is settled and moved in. The single pharmacist on duty doesn't have time to give vaccines on top of filling everyone's prescriptions, so there are always long long wait times. I just waited 35 minutes for a flu shot despite having had an appointment and with only one other person waiting for the same. Looks like Walgreens is maximizing their corporate profits by intentional understaffing. I also overheard an elderly woman being told her prescription was not available, even though she had received two automated calls telling her it was ready for pick up.

With few variety stores like it in the immediate vicinity and only the absolutely horrible Fine Fare Supermarket basically across the street, they offer a wide assortment of name brand household products and some equally wide-ranging, no-name, inexpensive solutions. When I need something basic and inexpensive, given their proximity I stick my head in to see if they have what I'm looking for - especially with the intent of patronizing a local business. On a few occasions, they have. That being said, much of the time I don't see many (if any) customers shopping at 99¢ & Convenience Store Plus. Since I'm only going in for something particular, it's hard to say whether they're priced competitively. Now, they're having a special promotion of everything 30% off! That's a great deal! The pharmacy customer service has always been lacking at many of their locations. I actually called their downtown headquarters once to complain. I switched to CVS because my health insurance is accepted there and I haven't looked back! If you need more than a small purchase go elsewhere!
