It was just after dark and I pulled in and right up to a pump. I went through the whole process of putting my credit card in the machine and choosing and it told me to see the cashier. I walked over inside and approached the two people working behind the counter and told them the pump told me to come see you. They were very friendly and helped me quickly. Apparently with their older pumps and system they have to run the credit cards inside so you have to choose an amount that you think you'll be putting in your vehicle. I just chose a bit higher than I knew it should take. I got a receipt and walked outside and started filling my vehicle. It came out considerably less and then I had to go back inside to get a receipt showing what I actually spent. Again they were helpful and efficient. Definitely a decent place to get your fuel.

More importantly, I have noticed that this particular gas station is usually more expensive, for gasoline, than any station in the area. Their price points are usually first to go up and last to come down. Not sure if that is due to location or management style but it is a reality. They do have a small retail area, selling cigarettes, candy and beverages, including a BMO/ATM. It does accept "refills" on their beverages, saving me 50 cents each time I stop in.

I drove by again shortly after the incident to see if the gas had been cleaned up, it had not. I also wanted to see if the pump had been turned off or if it had been marked as defective, again, it had not. I can't imagine how this would have been handled had this been an actual emergency. The 5 cents I saved will not make up for the money I needlessly spent, the car mats and shoes that will need to be replaced, or most importantly the trust I had in this company.
