Had this bookmarked for our trip because of all of the rave reviews. We stopped in for dinner…read moreSaturday March 21 and there was barely anyone requiring service. After we walked in one of the waitresses informed us that we can sit wherever we want. I instantly felt like I was inconveniencing her with my presence by the way she said it. Didn't take it personal just yet. What appeared to be the hostess came over a few minutes after we sat down and handed us menus that were very dirty. I looked at my husband and said I am ready to walk out of this place bc I am starving and it looks like they are too short staffed right now which is understandably out of a businesses control sometimes. But wait, instead of the waitress coming to our table to bring water or ask us if we would like a drink, she went to another table with a man and a child that she obviously knew well, and started eating their french fries and talking. That's when we decided to leave and spend our money elsewhere. So unprofessional. That couldn't wait? I hate to leave a review like this, but if I was the owner of this business, I would not want someone like that working for me, representing what seems to be a great place.

They have a short tap list on a chalk board over the bar area but a massive bottle and can list. Truly a beer enthusiast paradise. Prices vary but pretty much run $6-$9 per beer. Outdoor, Indoor and bar seating available, and the option to seat yourself. The vibes are perfectly set, cozy interior and chilled out tunes. Servers are fast and always kind. Definitely my new go to. Signed, The Happy Hour Huntress

Anytime I spot hot chocolate in any given café menu, I'm tempted to order a cup. It's a weakness…read more That's how I ended up at Ridge C., nestled right on the ever-bustling Main St in New Paltz. I popped in one winter lunch break and was hypnotized by the promise of that cocoa comfort I love. Ridge C. isn't just another cozy café. They have an entire wall lined with spices and loose-leaf teas in clear, labeled Mason jars. It's like a tea lover's dream. I was in my element. But let's talk hot chocolate. The first time? Disappointing. Bland. Still, I gave it another shot. This time requesting they go heavy on the chocolate. Nope. My 'heavy on the chocolate' request slipped into thin air, because round two was just as bland. Tip: Parking on Main Street is a nightmare and the meter maid's out here like it's a sport. Save yourself and look for a side street instead.

It's is nestled in this small little one room house. Everyone working here was so kind and friendly and took the time to give me a few whiffs. I ended up brewing a mix of blood orange and two types of mint as a cup of tea to go, and even took a small bag of loose leaf home with me. The brew he concocted was so flavorful and the right mix of orange and mint. Perfect for warming me up for another walk on a very cold day. The brewing took a few minutes so I was able to grab a seat, smell a few more teas, and await my hot tea to go. A few things to know! There was only one or two seats, so this is not a cafe to sit and relax, definitely only a grab and go. It is right off of the main street so not hard to find at all. If you are a fellow tea lover, you'll be keen on this great little spot.

Ok so all began with basically everything house made. Milks, syrups, chocolates. Options of chocolates are wild. I of course had to grab a few and was utterly blown away but the flavors. Keep in mind, these are vegan. I normally don't do vegan. These were amazing. Spent 3 times as much on chocolates as coffee. No regrets. This is a paradise of sweets, little treats and coffee. What more could you need? Unfortunately no pictures. Didn't have enough brain power to pull out a phone while nibbling on delectable treats. So yea don't walk here. Run!!!

So one day on my lunch break, I decided to finally swing by and see what they're all about- especially since their whole thing is chocolate. The space inside is cozy with a nice cocoa aroma that almost wraps around you like a blanket. This isn't just a chocolate cafe- it's a nice little wonderland where cocoa is the soul, but not the whole story. Alongside their truffles, you'll find hot chocolate, brownies, pastries, etc- all Vegan. I was really looking forward to the chocolate truffles, but the chewy texture threw me off. I expected that smooth, melt-in-your-mouth center like the classic ones. And I get it- these folks are completely vegan- even so, I hoped for a similar consistency in these- veganized of course. And I couldn't leave without trying the hot chocolate. Theirs needed more cocoa oomph. Still, the service was solid and the staff was great.
