Next time I came he was sleeping I had to wake him up. Today was last time I went there, 4 of us in line same guy on the phone walking around taking to his auntie while second guy not acknowledging anyone filling some notebook. When he was done he proceed to talk about his pitbull with "auntie" guy. They both cursing like they at home party. I walked out. Plenty of different gas stations around to go to. Hopefully circle k notice this and replace this trash with normal employees that would appreciate their job and their customers.

I have seen adults all over in stores, buying alcohol to bring home, while they have their kids with them. When asked for his bosses contact info, he refused. I'd like to see this law. Like this Speedway...and that is saying something since a gas station is pretty much just a gas…read morestation. This Speedway is just across the county line between Cook and Will, so you avoid paying the much higher Cook County sales taxes on gas and cigarettes and other stuff. This station also carries E85 gas in addition to regular so if you have a car that takes it, you can save even more. E85 was $1.42 on the last day I was there while regular was $1.92...not bad for either. Besides all the other usual stuff...hot dogs, cigarettes, Lotto cards, gum and candy, coffee...this is a good station to get filled up. Nice peeps work here. Try it.

The decline began recently when the staff insisted on scanning my State Drivers License (or State ID) for purchase of alcohol. I've noticed that ID scanning in retail environments has become popular for a variety of reasons. It's used for age verification at checkout, but also for returns to prevent return fraud, BOPIS fraud, or ID fraud used to help facilitate organized crime. The staff here insists my ID is needed for age verification. My issue here is I'm an OLD man. A 5-year old knows I'm over 60 years of age. A secondary issue is I can't see the staff scan my license. The "scanner" is out of site, behind the counter. I've been the subject of identity theft more than a few times. Its a bad experience. Its also become clear to me that this location has a new staff about every three to four weeks. I don't know or trust these people with my identity. I'll drive a few blocks west into Will County from now on to purchase my gas and beer. A side benefit is no more COOK COUNTY TAXES! See ya!
