It was cooked well and I really liked the combination of pickled onion and caramelized onion. I didn't see it until later but you can add bacon. As much as I loved this burger, bacon would totally take it up a notch! I started chatting with the bartender about their different beers and decided to have the Super Melodious Jalapeño Maibock with the burger. It's soooo different, but in a good way. It paired so well with the burger. You get green bell pepper on the nose and a hint of it on the palate. When you swallow you get a little heat at the back of the throat. It was so good! Great bar. I happen to be in the store--Meijer shopping with my significant other on a week work day around the 11:00 o'clock hour not realizing their hours at the time I was disappointed they were not open since I happened to be there shopping with him; however, I returned close to noon before going to work and it was pitch black in their corner! Wow, I said to the greeter/security guy, what time do they open? He said they running a little late today--they open at 11:00 and the first batch of pretzels are on the counter at that time. So I kept coming back before work a few times with the same negative results. I would arrive ten to fifteen minutes after 11:00, either they weren't there or just arriving pulling out their equipment. The crazy part about this is that it was different people most of the time except for one time it was the same person. This is why I say it's been going on for ever because they all were late! I am going out of my way in the opposite direction to work to get a pretzel with negative results every time! The not so good: The jaegerschnizel pork meal was not good, it was hard and unflavorful (I've been to Oktoberfest in Munich where they fed 3000 people and it tasted better). The spaezel and red cabbage were good sides but a bit on the small side. We sat in the bar and service was fine, a bit slow but friendly.
