This used to be called Vault because of being in an old bank, but they embraced their veteran owned status and rebranded. The decor is fun and not over the top and they have comfortable seating. Brave Bean is. great shop right on Broadway (Pitcarin's main street). They have a convenient drive through and there is also street parking. They have. fairly standard coffee shop menu plus they always have fun seasonal specials. Yes things like peppermint mocha and pumpkin spice latte, but also firecracker latte for patriotic holidays. They have a nice selection of pastries and sandwiches as well. They taste fresh and are a nice size. Staff is friendly, informative and attentive. They are great at helping you make decisions if you are stuck on what to get or might not be a regular coffee drinker. A real gem of a place I am happy to have nearby.

During the day, they had ample street parking and the cute patio is such a wonderful touch to enjoy a coffee on a beautiful day. We came for a light lunch and midday pick-me-up, so we chose the Cookie Butter Cold Brew, Iced Oatmilk Vanilla Latte, Grilled Chicken Bacon Ranch Panini, and a Croissant. The drinks were delicious! The Cookie Butter Cold Brew was a monthly signature drink, but I would get it as often as I can! The crumbles of cookie with the pillowy cold foam was such a refreshing coffee. The latte was perfection too. They definitely make great coffee drinks. The panini was freshly made with sous vide chicken, fresh bacon, and ample ranch dressing to dip in!! The chips were Metro Deli Kettle Chips- which is a new brand for me, but very well resembled a fresh homemade chip. The croissant was so good that we went back up to check out their other baked good options. We grabbed a Breakfast Cookie. It was a peanut butter cookie with oats and chocolate chips. The size was big enough to split and warmed up for a second... the cookie is ooey gooey!! The decor is so unique with a pin map to show where the coffee is sourced to a mini book shop to read while sitting or buy to take home. They are clearly a faith based organization with tons of great kids books based on faith and a selection of Bibles too. They also have a stock of board games ready for any patron to bust out enjoy even more fun!! The staff is so sweet. I visited here early on a Thursday morning on my way into work. This shop is located a little bit off of William Penn Highway, so it is close to a main road without the main road traffic. They have their own parking lot, and it is very easy to go in and out of the lot. When I stopped, it was not too busy yet. I decided to walk up and order at the window, since I had never been before. You can either order at the window or go through the drive-thru. The girl who took my order was very friendly and helpful. She gave me some information about the business, and gave me details on their menu and flavoring options. I was even offered a paper menu to take with me for future visits when I told her it was my first time visiting. Overall, she gave great customer service! Eventually, I decided on on the 24 Ounce Paris Toast signature latte with skim milk. Typically with any coffee drink with flavoring, I request it to be half sweet just solely based on personal preference. The accommodated the request for me with no problem. My drink was ready for me before I was even finished paying, so speed of service is superb. I enjoyed my drink very much! I plan to frequent there more, since I will be in this area of town more for at least the near future. I hope to try some of their seasonal offerings, and potentially some food items in the future. My only suggestion would be for the company to consider different options for their breakfast sandwiches. From what I was told, I believe they are premade, so you cannot switch out the bread the sandwiches come on. I know this goes beyond this location, but I would be more inclined to order something like that if I could choose my preferred meat and bread combination. Overall, I very much enjoyed this first visit to Aroma Joe's. The atmosphere, staff, and product are all great here. The customer service alone would have be coming back for another trip. I would highly recommend a stop here if you are in the Monroeville area looking for a coffee drink!

But seeing as I wanted to see what all the hubbub was about Dunkin' (it's not as popular on the West Coast), I made the trek down the hill. So maybe I wasn't looking red-carpet glamorous. With that being said, Dunkin', remind your rude, judgmental employees that no matter what someone looks like, money still spends. Honestly, if it were just mid coffee and tiny sandwiches, I would have let it go. But the fact that not only did people not want to help a paying customer, but actually fled the counter and gave me side eye made me post this. It left such a bad taste in my mouth that I now only go into a Dunkin' if there's literally no other option.
