Very rude workers at this location. The lady with reddish orange hair, very loud, very ghetto, dismissive, and always sporting a miserable mug. Another heavier set dark-skinned girl had half her arm in a large bag of Cheetos, chewing obnoxiously, while serving customers. Lowest of the low as far as character, class, looks, behavior. Customer service is out priority of the evening manager lady didn't get her name but the associate on one side was backed up she saw I was in line for 10 minutes and called over a customer behind me to ring out so I go over after the customer behind me and wait another 5 minutes for them to complain about the price of her drinks and the manager lady proceeds to tell me to go back to the other side after 5 more customers where waiting there. 6/10/2025 at around 1pm. The dark skin black lady at the register is who I had a problem with. I know It's a light skin black lady, and a dark skinned black lady who works the register around this time so I don't want it to be any confusion, It's the dark skinned black lady..I was buying cigarettes and the total was about $36. I told her I want to do a split payment, she proceeds to say "Nah I'm not doing a split payment" like playing with the customers or whatever the case may be, which I didn't have time to play as I had a serious important matter to attend to.. I said yes you are, as this place allows you to do a split payment. I also said I had a dollar coupon. This lady is in her own world as I was at the register waiting for her service, don't know If she was listening to music in her ear or what! So I looked at the card reader and the machine said I owed over $400 something dollars.. I wanted the lady named Dawn to help me because this black lady seems to give everyone problems as I look at the reviews to this place. I mean It's obviously not just me as I look at each review. Black lady with micro weave braids in her hair is the person I ALWAYS seem to have an issue with. When I use two cards like saying I want to put $25 on this card in gas and $1 on this merchandise card, It was always a problem. I try to avoid going to this person but she was the only one available in the store. And out of respect of saying the person that's behind me can go in front,, I chose to stay at the register, because saying that and letting someone go in front of me,,, only puts me a position to basically cut the person that was waiting behind the person that was waiting behind me. So that's why I didn't do that although I would go to anybody but her If the line wasn't so long. Also, as she gave me an attitude and I made sure to give her one right back. She had a choice of words and mentioned family (my mother) which I didn't say anything about her family. So I had some choice words after that about her as I left the store. I've been coming to this place since I was 18 years old, I'm now 35. In my 17 years of consistent business to this place I'd never had an issue with ANYBODY but this black dark skinned lady.. I don't care about what you have going on at home or what the case may be. At the end of the day the register said I owed over $400 something dollars for a $36 transaction. Took her several minutes to clear it and we basically had to start all over. At the register holding up the line because SHE can't ring me up for 3 packs of cigarettes.. For this lady to be working at this place for as long as she has, I believe she still needs to be trained on how to first properly treat customers. She can't even work the lottery machine at all so I can't ever get a quick pick because she needs someone else to help her every time! She's the worst person in that place! This person in my opinion and I'm sure by the reviews I've read, a lot of people have stopped coming here just because of this one person. She needs a new job because working at the register and customer service is just not the place she should be employed at. Not with that nasty ugly attitude. Hire someone else or lose a loyal customer for over 17 years. Never had ANY issues until this black dark skinned lady with the old 2007 micro weave braids in her hair is the one assisting me. It shouldn't take almost 10 minutes to ring me up for three packs of cigarettes.. The card reader said over $400! This lady obviously can't process doing two separate things (split payment, and a dollar coupon) at the same time. Who tells the customer "Nah I'm not doing a split payment". Whether she was playing or not, she got the wrong person to play with today. So as she mentioned my mother I made sure I told her what her mother should've done before she was born, simple. Play or disrespect me, you'll get disrespected back. I didn't mention her family at all until my mother was mentioned. This person needs to be evaluated and so does her mental health. This place is OK. You came here for gas and they got gas. Their pricing is very competitive for the area and they have E 85 for those with Flex-Fuel engines. The E 85 today was $1 cheaper than regular, so it is worth the trip. This location is right off I-80 at Harlem so it is a busy one. Very near a bunch of little hotels and a few places to eat, so you can make a stop like this a rest event. Only crab about the station itself is the staffing. They never seem to have enough people working the registers ... there always seems to be a line. But if you are a credit card person, you never have to go in ... stay and pay at the pump and you are on your way. read more

I come here frequently and all of the clerks are always friendly but today at 1220 pm girl behind register must be very unhappy with her job. She rang up my items and was unraveling the grocery bags. I said in a calm way, "oh I don't need a bag." Complete the transaction and as I'm walking away she says, "I wasn't going to give you a bag". If a grocery bag is making your day bad you need to quit your job. Find something else. Something tells me she will never be happy at any job she has though. read more

This Speedway is quite a pain and obstacle at the same time. It's already hard enough to get to this Speedway since you're already stuck with busy traffic all around you where you're coming from and when you enter the Speedway you're going to encounter 2 problems! Especially if it's in the day time. 1) There's going to be trucks in the way hogging up space and making coming in or out hard. 2) You're going to see many people fighting for gas pumps because this place is really busy, even with all the gas pumps it has. You found a pump to get gas? Oh, you want to grab a snack? Well get in line because the cashier takes forever to take care of the customers. When you leave it's going to be an obstacle getting out with all these trucks in the way again. read more

It's Sunday night around 9:30 on Memorial Day weekend at the busiest Speedway in the country (as reported by employees of this location) and there is a total of two women workers on duty next to the confluence of I-I57 and I-I80. The pumps are busy and only one cashier is on duty when I walk in to make a quick purchase. The line is so long it snakes through the store. What is management thinking? "Speed" way? I went to this gas station around 6:45am before work to grab some gatorade and snacks. As I waited in line I overheard a man who seemed mad. The cashier was new but another cashier was helping him while also keeping the line moving. The guy who I assumed was new (didn't get his name but he had a lot tattoos) stated he was sorry and trying to figure it out. I think he was trying to get a pump receipt for the guy. The other cashier switched with him. As she was helping the man and he checked me out the customer continued to insult the new guy who had been nothing but professional and trying really hard. I didn't know how to contact the store but I just wanted to commend the cashier for keeping his cool and remaining professional even after the customer left. It was also nice to see the other cashier step in and try to diffuse the situation while also still remaining professional. I just started going to this gas station but I appreciated seeing such good hospitality. I know customer service positions are some of the hardest jobs. Nice job to those two cashiers. read more

What is it with speedways? Both areas of registers deep in linesc with people.and workers doing anything but fill registers at 3pm. One dude sitting on counter cussing while putting coins in machine. Coukd of been waiting on customers. Only two working register. A blonde woman worker walking around playing social butterfly. And two others doing nothing to assist customers n building up of the lines. read more

Its like going to battle in a jungle. If you can get to a pump without someone cutting in front of you and arguing you are of to a good start. If you can get the pump to accept your payment you should purchase a lottery ticket(but not here). Lines are long to pay, registers always closed along with place being dirty. Stay away unless you are pushing your car because you ran out of gas. read more

The worst run business I've ever encountered. The staff is lazy, slow and completely uninformed about anything they sell. Horrible service. The only reason I shop there is that they are just across the county border. Cook County taxes are ridiculous so their Will County taxes make cigarettes $4 cheaper per pack but it's almost not worth it when having to deal with this business. read more

This Speedway is kind of a hot mess, but the prices are decent enough to keep coming back. Avoid the noon and after work 5 pm rush because cars are coming into the pumps from all directions. I have been inside, and the customer service does seem kind of flaky like all others have mentioned. The convenience of the location is great, right off I-57 and in the middle of the busy Harlem intersection. Next door is Wendy's and some food places if you need to grab a bite after pumping gas. read more

I go to this Speedway almost every other night, and I never have an issue. But a couple of times that I've gone in the morning, it is the worst place you could possibly be. This morning there wasn't a single person on a register and there were people waiting in line, so I say something and someone goes to the registers and then as they are ringing people out continues to complain about how they are going to walk out on the job because they are tired of getting yelled at for "busting their ass" putting out product is important, but when there are four other people doing that and your main job is to be on the register, then you should be on the register. I highly recommend only going to this Speedway at night. The night shift are good people. read more

This location never fails to disappoint me. The lines are always long and the place is always filthy even though there are always "wet floor" signs up and someone holding a mop. On top of that, about 70% of the time you get rude service. They are one of the busier locations I've seen but that doesn't excuse the mess and the attitude. read more

I have been buying gas at this property since the early days when it was a gas city, the prices were always lower because it is located in Will County. Well, today, I filled up thinking with my same old mind set, paid $4.159/Gal (recpt - ***7964). I left the gas station and was driving to Lowes, and to my frustration, the K-Shell on 171st and 94th Ave had the same gas for $3.93, almost .23 cent cheaper, and in Cook County. I will now be sure to shop the alerts and web sites for the lowest prices, Speedway - shame on you, gouging you loyal customers, its game over. This Speedway station is a frequent go to for me because of the competitive pricing. I rarely go inside because my primary purchases are gasoline which I purchase from the pump. When I do go inside, there are usually lines but they move relatively quickly. read more

This station has recently been remodeled which is good but for some strange reason the lines inside and at the pumps is always long.

My friend ran inside to buy a couple of snacks as I blurted out I want my bag of Doritos. He comes back with the spicy Doritos which I do not care for. I run inside and tell the lady that I was going to exchange them and she just rushes me along. They have all kinds of variety except for the one that I was looking for, nacho cheese...I grab a bag of Fritos and run outside with no one trying to stop me. I could have stole the bag! Overall quick and easy place to stop for gas. read more
