This is my go to grocery store. Primarily because of the following reasons: 1) The produce always has a very good shelf life one you get it home 2) Everything around the stores perimeter (aka fresh stuff) is always fresh. 3) I am always treated well by everyone I happen to interact with. 4) Shelves are mostly well stocked and mostly neatly displayed 5) There is a great variety of items to choose from. read more

Recently they did something to their self checkout kiosks so every time you scan an item and place it in the bag, the thing stops with a big notification and announcement "please scan all items before placing them in the bagging area", like you're a thief. You have to wait 10 seconds for it to go away to scan your next item and as soon as you bag that the obnoxious notice is back. God forbid you're trying to check out with more than a couple items or you'll be there for hours. I assume this is some kind of loss prevention thing but if you're that paranoid about someone stealing at the checkout then get rid of the kiosks and hire more checkers. And dont leave the self checkout as the only option at night. The only reason I ever went here was if I needed something later at night. Instead, from now on, I'm gonna drive the mile to the 24 hour Jewel Osco who don't call me a thief or waste my time. read more

I went here earlier today (5/25/26) & had a very unpleasant experience. The workers were very rude to me when i asked where toilet paper was located. The man i initially asked replied to me with a smart remark & relayed the question of where the toilet paper was to another worker who responded very rudely that the toilet paper was in aisle 12. Following this I continued to see the same man around the store multiple times while i tried to shop. Overall this experience was extremely uncomfortable & I won't be back! When i shop at a store i want to be greeted pleasantly, not ever in that manner especially if I'm spending my hard earned money. read more

I have purchased both chicken breasts and 80/20 ground beef. The amount of water in both is staggering. When you cook the ground beef the grease will float on top of all the water that comes out. I just wonder how much is lost in steam also. I have found better quality and prices actually at Walmart. I refuse to pay water weight. read more

I am extremely disappointed and honestly hurt by what I witnessed tonight (May 4, 2026 around 8:20pm). A random worker named "Saviroy", approached my dad and, out of nowhere, questioned him as if he was stealing, asking if he had something in his pockets and even mentioned calling the police. My family and I have been loyal customers here for over 5 years, which makes this experience even more upsetting. My dad did absolutely nothing wrong, he was simply shopping. To be treated with that level of suspicion and disrespect, without any proof or reason, was humiliating and completely unacceptable. From what I understand, standard retail practice is that employees should not directly confront or accuse customers of theft without clear evidence. The way this was handled was inappropriate and unprofessional. No customer should ever feel profiled, embarrassed, or accused like that in a place where they're just trying to shop. This experience left a really bad impression on us, and it's honestly upsetting to think this is how people are being treated.I hope management takes this seriously and ensures this doesn't happen to anyone else. read more

Went into the store and noticed a couple employees with an offensive odor as if they haven't bathed in a number of days. After working in the food industry for a number of years I know that it is a requirement for people handling food that they bathe on a daily basis for hygiene purposes . Spent a bit of time shopping and having a $2 Modelo at the walk up bar. Everything was great until I decided to head to the men's room before hitting the road. Sadly the state of the bathroom was such that I had to walk back out. I survived getting back home. What really irks me is what about folks who have a small child, an accompanying senior or a medical condition? The space was horrendous and really reflects on the Management at this store. Produce had little inventory and fruit flies everywhere. Pallets blocking aisles. No bags at the self checkout - but the self checkout attendant openly stood in the middle looking at her phone. Today I specifically came for flowers and saw there was a special on the roses, so I got two bundles and wanted a ribbon to tie them together. I was offering to pay the florist for the ribbon. Barb was so very gracious to tie the bundles with no charge. This small complimentary service goes a long way and speaks for her and her representation at Mariano's. I no longer purchase meat at Marianos. I've been disappointed to see on more than one shopping trip that staff at the fresh meat counter do not follow basic food safety practices. Long hair with no hair net, beards with no beard guard. Management needs to monitor staff and re-train as needed. Apparently public health inspectors need to visit Marianos Orland Park more often. read more

Waited for at least 15 mins to get service for the seafood counter. They guys at the meat counter were hustling and really tending to that. One guy from the meat counter finally helped me. But you would think there would be at least a person at the seafood counter or at least can call someone at the back when needed. The deli counter is another story. The 3 workers behind the counter seemed to be in a daze. A lot of customers waiting and they have no urgency to pick up the pace to get people in and out. Customer service for the seafood and deli counter can really be improved. Management should re-evaluate how they staff their counters and remind their employees about quick and good service. read more

From time to time I'm in this area and will stop here and each time I realize the parking is bad. This makes for a bad start. I remember a time, not so long ago, when it was fun to go grocery shopping at this store. I especially loved being able to get freshly made (and delicious) guacamole. I also loved getting the pub burgers and having them grilled on site. The flavor was awesome! Since I live in an apartment, I can't grill them for myself. The last several times I have been there, IF there is any guac available, it is not only not fresh but looks like something that went through the mill. The grill hasn't been on for months. The first time it wasn't on, I was told they don't start it until 10 a.m. Went after 10...still no grill. No particular excuse; just shrugged shoulders. Today it was SO ridiculous, I couldn't believe what I was hearing. The grill was turned off at 1:30 p.m. !!!! Why even bother turning it on????? I was there at about 4:15. You'd think that would be a busy time to have the grill going. You know, MAKE MONEY!! It doesn't seem like they're in the business of keeping customers. They're sure not in the business of keeping customers HAPPY. I'm going to give this grill business one more chance. If I don't have better luck, I'm giving up. Gas is too expensive to be wasting on fruitless trips to a store that doesn't live up to it's reputation. read more

This is the worst grocery store I had ever been to In my life. I came here for the hot foods but they had none. Everything was cold in containers. I thought at first this was a good place for party food for events. I got some shrimp trays but I didn't know they was spoiled, the date wasn't even close to expiration. my refrigerator smelled so bad like fish. I spent $40 on lobster tails. I cooked them the next day they were all rotten and smelled like ammonia. Their fresh food was so bad the next day the smell every time I opened the refrigerator was terrible. I came in today around noon and got a salad from the salad bar. I've eaten here plenty of times, however today I got extremely sick. Within a few hours I was in and out the bathroom several times with sickness and some extreme stomach pains. My stomach was hurting so bad it literally made a weird thunder like sound. Several times I've used the self-checkout and had items that won't scan or can't be looked up or they don't weigh enough. There's nobody to help because the one employee has to help the other people having problems. Then I have to gather up my items and go wait in a loooong line anyway. They should get rid of them and hire more cashiers, it's infuriating. Never have this problem with other grocery store self-checkouts. read more

Mariano's finally open in Orland !! Upon arriving it took a minute to find a parking spot and inside the store was really crowded and it felt kinda overwhelming. No big deals, I understand they just opened and their staff are really helpful and friendly. Even Mr. Mariano himself was helping me load groceries on the belt !! What ?! By the fresh produce section they have a guacamole bar ! Fresh made guacamole !! They have like a cafeteria area of BBQ,pizza,sushi,gelato,chocolate,popcorn,crepes,fresh made smoothies, coffee, hot bar,salad bar,olives bar,an oyster bar, and a wine bar. Although the staff are nice, the outside of the store typically has a lot of trash blowing around. Especially near the outside tables in the front and the east parking lot. The entire perimeter of the east parking area has trash in the bushes, grass areas, and parkway. I walk to and from the store and I see it blowing into the surrounding neighborhoods. I really love this Mariano's! The food here is really fresh and new. Their place is so huge, it is so clean, well-organized, and well-maintained. The whole store is fully stocked. You can always find anything you need here, they are so cheaper than other stores around, and this Mariano's is very convenient. They have so many healthy options, they have so huge variety of meats, veggies, fruits, etc. And also all of their items are up-to-date. You can be sure here at Mariano's that all of the items you will purchase are fresh and new. Their employees here are so friendly, knowledgeable, and decent. They all know how to treat and assist their customers so well. All of them are so energetic and working so fast. You can checkout quickly whether your items to purchase is big or small. Such an awesome store with great foods, good prices, and amazing people. One of the better grocery store in the whole town. I will definitely go back again and shop more quality items. This place was huge and clean. Some reviews said that there are some inventories that have no food stock. But when I came to this place they had a full stock of food. The inventory was fully organized. They have a different variety of food. They have the food that I need. Mariano also has a stall of different kinds of food. They have a table to dine in. When I ordered in one of the stalls the food was great. The oreo cake was so delicious and sweet. They also have a bar with different kinds of alcohol and wine and you could spend hours there. Bar has a flat screen TV attached to the wall where you can watch some movies, music, commercials, news etc. The only problem for me about Mariano's is the customer service. Although the counter staff greeted me when they came and apologized , I waited about 5 minutes at the counter because no one was at the counter. Overall it was great. So I recommend this place and taste their food to satisfy your craving. read more

What a blast. Just your normal 5 star grocery store. Glad to have one in Orland Park. Think of Whole Foods on steroids. As you walk the perimeter of this place you run the gauntlet of cheese, produce, meats, fish, dairy, wines, etc. This place literally has everything you might be in need of...including two aisles on international foods. Was excited to see a new shopping option in Orland Park. Sad to say Mariano's has fallen to in respect to quality and freshness. I have in several occasions found food that was outdated by weeks. It seems that the level of effort by the employees has gone downhill since they opened. Stock is no longer rotated on shelves or in cooler. Food packages that are damaged are placed on shelves. Managers have no clue in managing a grocery store as employees receive minimal training, even in bagging groceries the proper way. Just simple common sense items. I have stopped buying meat there as the quality is not there and the service is nonexistent. I travel to Western Springs for all my meat as I have not found anywhere in Orland for good quality meats. read more

Make sure you check the expiration dates for poultry!!! Purchased some bad chicken wings from here. My dad opened the pack up to wash and prep. Chicken smelled horrible and the texture was weird.
