I really have to stick up for Speedy Appliance Parts. I needed replacement LED lights for my Whirlpool refrigerator and performed an Internet search. Speedy showed my part in stock, and for a remarkably good price. Not knowing a thing about the company, I then did an Internet search for reviews about them and was "rewarded" with a litany of negative results, complaints, screeds - and many of them were not well-written. HAD I paid those "reviews" respect, I wouldn't have decided to give Speedy a try. But I thought I had little to lose, and so - on a late Sunday evening, ordered two of my LED lights. I set up an account and early the NEXT morning received an e-mail and tracking link showing that they had already been shipped. And they arrived - from Indiana to California - on Wednesday. Two days after they were shipped. The parts are exact matches (though not OEM, which I knew in advance) and so far: work perfectly. And again: the price was unbeatable, and by far. They cost me about HALF what I had previously paid elsewhere - and again, the shipping speed was pretty extraordinary. After reading the negative reviews, but then having my own experience with Speedy, I really had to come back and stick up for this company. I can't really comment on experiences of others, but my own experience with Speedy Appliance Parts has been exemplary in ALL ways. Door lock on my washing machine broke. Jumped on line and in haste I ordered the part from Speedy. An hour later I decided to check the company out (of course I should have done this first). I usually take yelp reviews with a grain of salt but almost every review was negative and somewhat similar. Tried to cancel. No cancel order button, no humans on the phone number and live chat wasn't working. I e-mailed them to cancel (this is about an hr after ordering on a Saturday). I wish I would have seen the reviews for this shady business prior to placing my order. I purchased a vacuum part on 02/14/17 and received an email the same day stating my order was being processed. I checked my email a few days later expecting to see a separate email with the expected delivery date, but never received one. On 02/20/17, I still had not received an update from Speedy Appliance regarding my order. I contacted them and was told the part was on back order and the part would not be shipped until 02/27/17. The website never stated the part was on back order and if it had I would not have purchased the part from this company. I paid for my washer parts to be 2-3 day shipping and unfortunately this didn't arrive timely causing me to miss work and other issues. I requested my shipping be refunded as I can't request this from USPS directly and I was refused a full refund of my shipping costs. This could easily be refunded to you by USPS for their error and you could have fully refunded my shipping to save a customer but you didn't. Sent me the wrong part and refused to refund my money. I took the timer off of my dryer, got the model number, and ordered the part. I got it in pretty quickly. I took my dryer apart and installed the wiring in the same order the original part was set up. The dryer didn't work. I looked at the part and realized that it was generally the same, but had some differences. The connection point labels were in a different order and there was an exterior wire missing. I checked the label and saw that the labels (original and new) were virtually identical. It's pretty easy to see what happened. The manufacturer mislabeled the part. No big deal. I emailed the company to let them know what happened. I figured that they would want to check the other parts from this batch to make sure none of the others were mislabeled. I was astounded by their reply. They told me that the part wasn't mislabeled, I had just ordered the wrong part. I sent them pictures of both parts and labels to show that I had ordered the same model number. They told me that there is no such thing as a model number and that I was supposed to look up the model number of the dryer and select the proper part from their database. I told them that there was no need for that when I knew the model number of the part. They told me again that there was no such thing as a model number. I sent them a picture of the label again, this time pointing out the word "Model" at the top of their label. They stopped talking about model numbers at this point and told me that it was my fault and they would not refund my money because I had installed it. I tried to be gracious and admit that normally this would be perfectly reasonable, but since they had sent the wrong part, it was their responsibility. At this point, they responded that it was my fault. I sent another email asking to speak to someone other than Paua, but they stopped replying. You can get a part from them quickly and at a good price. Who knows what part they'll send, though. You'd be better off spending more money, but buying from a company that knows how to handle their business. read more
