Upon finding out this information, I called the company and inquired about why we received a charge when I had been informed that they would not if they could not fix the dishwasher. Phil was able to come to our house ON THE DAY we called him which is highly unusual. He had already…read moregiven us advice over the phone about "fixes" to try, but nothing worked. He determined our twelve-year-old ice maker was shot and replaced it (He carries popular brands in his van.), but wasn't pleased with the way the water shot out too quickly in the refilling cycle. We had never been pleased with the way a sheet of ice developed in the back of the tray either, but the previous appliance guy, who supposedly repaired the ice maker four years ago, said it was normal. Phil said it wasn't normal. He replaced one other part and our ice maker works beautifully, with no sheet of ice or clumping en masse of the cubes. It is rare to find an expert who will offer free advice, show up on the day you call, and not rest til the job is done perfectly. Unlike any other repair person, Phil stayed, running the ice maker through its cycles, until he was sure it was running correctly.
