I ordered a part and three seconds later found it was the incorrect part and attempted to cancel. Thats where the problems began. Their phone number is just a voicemail and their webstore is designed to be hostile to customers with problems. Something that should have been a 2 minute costomer service interaction will now result in a wrongly shipped item and ridiculous shipping fees. Avoid this place like the plague. I see a lot of poor reviews for Thrifty Appliance Parts, but I had a good experience so I thought I would add a good review. I placed my order before checking their reviews, and when I did check the reviews later I considered trying to cancel my order based on the poor reviews. I decided to roll the dice, and I'm glad I did. I ordered a door latch switch for my ~15 year old Frigidaire washing machine on Saturday, July 21, it shipped on Monday July 23rd and was delivered to the Los Angeles, CA area on the morning of Wednesday, July 25th. Their price was $29.45 shipped. That was about $5 lower than I could find on eBay or Amazon. The part appears to be an original OEM part, and resolved my washer issue. Thanks! Since my order was fulfilled correctly, and I received the correct part, I didn't have any experience with their customer service outside of this. I have no idea what might have gone on had I not received the correct part, or the part was damaged in shipping etc. So, I wouldn't discount the poor reviews just based on my experience, but maybe take them with a grain of salt. I purchased a part. It is a manual hinge for my front load washing machine $67. It did not resolve my problem. I attempted to contact them. EMAIL ONLY They have no phone number so one cannot and speak live. Because the part was installed they would not take it back in return. I can sorta understand if it were an electrical part but not a manual part. They charge a 20% re stock fee. Plus you have to pay returns shipping There prices are not any lower than competitors. I would have give ZERO stars if I could.. I usually purchase from other sites like ebay which is assume. I understand some parts for machines are not available other sites. They told me knobs for an LG stove would work. When I got them they did not fit. I returned the knobs in there original packing. They showed me a website where I could get the knobs that would fit. They then charged me a restocking fee. Very unfair when they don't have the right part they ship anything. read more

I ordered a clothes dryer part from this company a month ago and never received it. The tracking info says it's in Kentucky but it seems to be lost. I have contacted Thrifty Appliance Store about eight times and get the same response that tracking takes time. They totally dismiss my request to just send me another part or refund my money. They also conveniently don't have a phone. I realize I have been conned and have lost my money but I wanted to warn others to NOT do business with this company. read more

Purchased a part and was already shipped befor i was able to cancel i found out that the part i ordered would not fix the problem, no big deal right return it. Wrong they said i cant return because it is not covered in thier return policy. Everyone now days takes return especially with the internet and competitive pricing. Not only was i not able to return but was able to find the same part on may other sites for 1/3 cheaper! They scam you into thinking the slash they put through thier online price make you think you are getting a deal when you most certainly am not! Buyer beware, shop around and read tge reviews here. Wanted to give a shout out. Even though the company is getting such a terrible rep, my transaction was really smooth. I placed my order on a holiday. My items were shipped next day as they promise with 2-day shipping. I received them the next business day over a weekend, so it was technically a next-day delivery. It was not entirely clear from the listing, but I believe I received aftermarkets, not Samsung OEM parts, but they just worked fine and I am very happy that the replacements resolved the issue with my washing machine completely. The pricing was very competitive: about half of OEMs on Sears Parts Direct and even cheaper than aftermarkets on Amazon. Shipping charge was very reasonable as well ($5.95). The cost was the main reason I placed my order to this company even after reading bad reviews. I also read their return policy before placing my order. It's nothing like Amazon's, but as long as you understand what you are buying into, I recommend this company. TIP: The same folks appeared to run multiple companies under different names (Speedy, Swifty, and Appliance Zone), which when I found out terrified me (why do you do that?), but I noticed that the pricing was slightly different among the online stores even for the same part, so you may want to check out the other entities as well. read more

Placed my order late Friday night. Prices were great and shipping was reasonable. On Monday they sent an email to verify the address. I replied and they immediately replied back saying they would ship my items out the very next morning and gave me the tracking number. I had my items in two days and they work great! Thrify Appliance Parts is a shady operation that seems to go by several identities online. Some of these are API Consolidated LLC. (registered to Kayla R. Allen), Speedy Appliances, and Appliance Zone. There is no way to contact them other than leaving a voicemail or email. They are run from a small office on a rural road located at 1203 Highway 62 NE, Corydon, Indiana. It is literally a tiny building on a rural highway that backs up to a golf course with no other neighbors in the vicinity. It is a perfect location for conducting their fraudulent business practices. Before dealing with these thieves, consult places like Yelp, Ripoff Report, and the Better Business Bureau to get an idea of how they do business. My interaction was with Speedy Appliances and lasted several months (Sept. 17th to Nov. 1st) before I got it resolved through a dispute initiated through my credit card. Some of the liars I dealt with were Madeline W., Shelby Dones, Mary M. Basically they sell appliance parts through several different alias companies using very similar websites and undercutting their competitor's prices so that you order through them. The problem is they do not have the parts. They will give you the runaround as follows (directly from email communications: 1) 9/17/17: Once your order ships, you will be emailed tracking information. If you do not receive an email with tracking information within 3-4 days please contact us for updates on your order. 2) After a WHOLE WEEK on 9/23/17: Your order should be shipping Monday! 3) 9/26/17: I apologize, this is processing for shipment today. There was a delay in the manufacturer shipment arriving yesterday. You will receive tracking details via email once available. 4) On 9/26/17: I will have this cancellation processed per your request. You will receive an email confirmation once this has been refunded. Refunds typically take 7-10 business days but may be received much sooner. Please let me know if you have any further questions or concerns. 5) On 11/1/17: Hi Duke An order you recently placed on our website has had its status changed. Wish I had read these reviews before ordering as well. They are a scam artist. Placed the order on 10/4/17. As of 1/15/18, we still don't have the item. In Dec was told the item was on back order, but can purchase OEM part at additional cost. I said I will wait. Early Jan was told they no longer do business with that manufacturer, I can order OEM part at additional cost (again). Since I had no other choice now, I paid. Then was told it will ship in 3-4 days. After 5 days still being told it's being processed. Now I'm worried if it will actually ship and if I will actually get the right part. How are they still in business??!!! read more

I bought a part that they said would fit my washer when I received it I compared it to the original part that came off my washer and it was obviously not a matching part. I emailed them and after several conversations, they authorized me to be able to return the part(apparently you need permission to do so) and I did. I then received an email stating that the part was scratched and that I would not get a refund. This company is obviously doing scams as all I did was take it out of the box and did not scratch it or try to fit it to my machine as they implied. I spent as much money shipping it to me and returning it to them as the part cost and then not to be refunded my part cost is insulting. I will never do business with this company again. read more

Got a gasket for top freezer. Sent me wrong part. Gasket cost over $75 bucks and had almost 0 magnetic grip! When I complained and asked for the correct part was informed #1 the part didn't depend on magnetic grip and used a "vacuum seal" and it was quite common for the repair rep to spend hours with heat gun and duct tape to get the "seal" right ( no I'm not making this up) and the "90 day returns" only applies to Uninstalled gaskets. So by the time you find out they sold you a CHEEP KNOCKOFF they bought from China for 5 bucks then resold to you for $75+ that DOESN'T WORK, you find their policy is to DESTROY any return that looks like it was installed. ( you have to install it to find out it's a fake - catch 22 ) Avoid them!! read more
