Maria at this location is one of the best Customer Service Agents I have ever worked with & not just Speedy Cash but any business establishment. Even when she is not assisting me but working w other customers I watch & listen to her. Just as she does w me, she greets, converses & offers every option available to accommodate her customers. This post is for the service over the phone about a loan that I initially made through this location. To my understanding, I know there's a difference between the payoff amount and your actual balance. Every month I pay my loan, they text me the payoff amount and it is the same amount every month it does not go down & some times that amount is more than the last month's which makes no sense, and in my perspective, there's no progress with this loan. I asked for my balance, the lady didn't give me an answer. I asked to send me statements of my payments, THEY DO NOT HAVE THAT FOR ME. I ask for a receipt of the payment I just made the day before that phone call for the current month, THEY DO NOT HAVE IT! So I ask what can you give me, she said she can email me my payment dates and that's all they can provide me, still THEY DID NOT EMAIL ME. I had them contact me because they do not offer statements or receipts on the app or online, so how am I supposed to keep track of what my payments are being applied towards?! THIS COMPANY IS A HORRIBLE PLACE TO MAKE A LOAN THEY ARE A RIP OFF, HIGH(!!!) INTEREST RATES AND HORRIBLE SERVICE! When I called over the phone to ask some questions I spoke to dulce. She was also very helpful and answered all the questions I had with a great attitude as well . I just got robbed. Before I took out a loan I asked if I can get it in cash? The girl walked me through the app online to apply and then she physically took my phone and finalized the agreement. I was approved and they automatically deposited the money into my overdrawn account. I asked the girl and the assistant manager why they would give me false Information? They said that was the way they understood it and they're not responsible for any misinformation. To their credit they tried calling corporate to stop the funds from going through, but of course corporate said there's nothing they can do and now I'm out $300. By law in California they're not allowed to find anybody more than $300 So they charge the maximum interest leaving you with $255. Learn from my mistake and don't apply online after 5 o'clock. Please do not give this greedy corporation any of your hard earned money. The rich get richer and the poor get poorer I called corporate and lodged a complaint and was told that Sam Newman or Priscilla Lopez will be calling me back. Will update once I hear back. read more

Received the worse service from this business yesterday; went in there to load my prepaid card, I literally was there an hour waiting to be seen, when I arrived there was no line & I watched the cashiers just shooting the breeze with the customers they was helping; then when I finally got help they turned my little transaction into a big ordeal, filling out applications and had me sign 2 forms to receive text messages to my phone & I told the cashier that I did not want that she said I had to sign it for being their customer and she said I wouldn't get any text messages, she said it's only for their customers that have CASH LOANS; well I've been receiving TEXT MESSAGES ALL MORNING trying to opt out just not working; now I have to call these folks and have them unsubscribe me from all their marketing offers. Simple, stupid and slow! New girl working needs to learn how to count money! Gave her cash for money order she said I'm short $20. Asked her to count again and still said I'm still short. I asked for my money back and when I counted my cash it was correct! Funny how I'm doing her job for her! I separated my cash and had her count 500 at a time then told her to add everything together and magically it's correct! What has happened to good customer service nowadays??? These women at the Garden Grove, CA location were very unprofessional, especially the first one whom sadly I didn't get her name. She was doing application over the phone while I'm standing there at her window, stating kindly how I must leave for shortly. She tell me I must fill out a application, so have a seat and get back in line again after I'm done. I was at her window about 10 mins waiting to be told this. I said but I've given all my details online and she say it don't matter in a very condescending behavior. Speedy Cash contacted me after applying online for a payday loan through another service. I come in, submitted all my personal information to Norma and Crystal. Then I'm told how I don't qualify for $255. loan when clearly I make enough income and never had a problem with others for a payday advance. There needs to be an incompetence filter on yelp . This place is just stupid at some point . I came here after work to cash my 3 checks , and the woman wants to call my place of work after hours to verify that I work there . My 16 paycheck stubs and full uniform wasn't good enough for her . No I had to call my manager . Not only did I have to call my manager but I had to ask him to go stand at the receptionist desk (because AFTER HOURS there's no receptionist obviously) after having her call the store , finally getting a hold of my manager she asks him how much my check is LOLOLOLOL I work off of commission , so how ON EARTH would he know a thing like that . You may be in hardship or be put in a stressful position like I was about needing money for something, but I warn you. DONT DO IT!! I got the 2,600 loan and have been paying for a very long time and my balance is barely down to 2,568. I pay 198 a month and the interest is so unbelievably high that it brings the amount right back up to what it was before the payment was made. It's ridiculous. I've been working my butt off to pay this damn thing off and it'll never happen, the interest just leaves me stuck at the full amount. Its unbelievable that this can be legal. How is someone supposed to pay this thing off. 198 a month!!! And my balance hasn't even gone down by 100 after paying 198 a month for the last 10 months. This interest rate should be illegal. What do they expect me to do, pay 1,000 a month for 2 years? And on top of that, there's been times where I get paid a few days after the loan is due and I ask for an extension so I can pay it on the payday and this company cares so little that they won't even work with you. I encourage you PLEASE FIND OTHER WAYS TO GET MONEY!! Don't fall into this unfortunat trap, you'll never get out of it. read more

Speedy cash has made $1000's off of me with pay day advances with never a late payment made. They have always made my payment date on cash advances for the following pay period if my pay day is less than a week away. Today I went in and JANET who is the assistant manager informed me that information is incorrect and it has to to 4 days from my next pay date which was never the case before. They have lost a great customer. I will never be using their services again. That was a very poor business decision on JANET'S part.
