These people don't know what they are taking about when it comes to checking high end cars. They gave me the round around they visually failed my car for nothing! They were wrong and admitted it and didn't even charge me for my smog. I went to a place where they recommended to check and they said everything was fine with my car. They were even confused why they failed my smog for visuals went back to them and they did NOThing!!! By them failing me gave me a difficult and stressful time. Maybe they should hire more people who are familiar with higher end cars. Such a shame to write a review like this. But if you have a high end car take it somewhere else where people are actual experts!! read more

This place is a joke. They advertise their online coupon and when you try to use it, they say they can't accept their advertised online coupon unless it is printed on paper even though it's right their on the phone. The price is doubled without the coupon. Not sure how this place got so many good reviews. Bait and switch establishment. Anyone can drive 50 yards down the street and go to another smog check where they accept their online advertised digital coupon. No brainer. read more

I paid my registration without even realizing I needed a smog check this time....great. So now my tags are expired, it's just after Christmas, and I'm fairly new to Bakersfield so was feeling overwhelmed by this necessity. Of course I turn to Yelp for help and as usual, Yelpers have done me right!! I chose Speedy Smog because of the great reviews and because it's so close to where I live. This was definitely a win-win after all because I went in around 4pm on a Friday and almost thought they wouldn't have time to do it. I was wrong! Despite having numerous other customers there, they stand true to their name as I was there like 15-20 minutes tops. There were 2 people working, a male and female, and both were extremely courteous and professional. And even though I was dreading taking care of this originally, I left there feeling happy! There is a small climate controlled waiting area with a TV as well as vending machines in case you're feeling a little hangry! I found a coupon online and also unlocked a coupon through Yelp when I checked in...keep in mind you can only use one coupon per service. However, when I went to pay the cashier told me I was getting an additional $2 off!!! Thank you!!! I have a 2011 Honda Civic and paid $45 out the door with my smog certificate in hand. Speedy Smog informs the DMV for you too, which is a big help and much appreciated (no extra charge)! I highly recommend them! read more

Drove by for a quick Smog as we are moving from out of state. We had a very pleasant experience from the lady(short hair didn't get her name-sorry) in charge of gathering the information to perform the certification. We saw the line of cars was long and left our keys with her and walked down to Sonic's for lunch. We got our food to go and when we got back they were already finished with both cars! I had whole heartily expected it to be 30 min but it took about 1/2 that time. I was Very impressed with the speed and quality of service.
