I have been a Spencer's costumer for fuor years now, and it feels like home to me. Almost every employee made a valiant attempt to know my name, and my day normally got better when I came to order a drink. The Front Porch Blend is always spot on, and can never go wrong. The food is absolutely delicious, even with the menu change (for the better, I would say). The espresso is also great, and the cortado is just awesome. I place Spencer's very high on my favorite coffee shops, both for quality of coffee and atmosphere (even though the wifi can be pretty spotty ;)). I was in downtown Bowling Green at the courthouse on business. Found Spencer's Coffee within walking distance. This is a great place to chill out, have a cappuccino and something to eat. I ordered the "Standard" with bacon. It was a delicious biscuit with an egg, bacon and cheese. A side of fruit was added. Everything was perfect. Service is quick, the place is clean. This is a locally owned coffee shop in Bowling Green, KY. It is a nice cozy place with some terrific coffee and made to order food. The baristas that work here are nice and really know their coffee. They serve regular and decaf flavors of coffee along with the special Mochas, Frappes, Cappuccinos, and other specialty drinks. If you are feeling a bit hungry you can grab a bagel or pastry in the morning or a sandwich around noontime. They even serve ice cream from another locally owned business-Chaney's Dairy Barn which is a nice touch because it provides a sense of community support and growth. The seating is appropriate for the setting but it does tend to get a bit crowded when the local university is in session during the spring and fall semesters. The lighting around the tables could use some work if one is trying to read a book. However, many people come to use the free WiFi so I guess that they have enough light from the glow of their laptop computers. If you are in Bowling Green and need a nice place to sit down and idle away the hours sipping coffee and chatting or simply reading then you should try this place out. It also has a good view of the downtown square and is especially a comforting place to be in during a winter snowfall as I experienced last winter. read more

I don't review every place I visit but this one was worth my time. We stayed along the interstate and searched for a coffee spot. Yelp says it's only 3 miles away but 12 minutes... Only because of lights. But it didn't take us that long. Well worth the few minutes out of the way. The staff was super friendly. The menu is good size. I had one of their homemade granola bars... Extra large and delicious. My son had a pumpkin muffin and loved it. I snuck a bite, amazing. The lattes are great. The chai is great. Love the feel of this hometown coffee house! read more

I heard about this coffee shop from looking it up on here. So I was in Downtown Bowling Green I thought what the heck and decided to check it out. I had the Chai Latte and my friend had a Carmel Latte we left as very pleased guests. The ladies were very knowledgeable and extremely friendly. Spencer's is great. Wonderful location on the square. Delicious coffee, supplied by a delightful coffee roaster (Sunergos in Louisville). Small food menu with a couple veggie options. Always a couple pretty good craft beers on tap, with cans/bottles of others available. Awesome ambiance, including local art, locally crafted furniture, a back patio, etc. Not cramped like a lot of coffee shops. As an avid consumer of so-called "third wave" coffee, yet kind of a penny-pincher, I mostly purchase their available single-origin beans and brew at home. We were traveling north from Nashville and were craving a good cup of coffee. We found Spencers from yelp and decided to leave the freeway and take a coffee break. It was easy to find, located near Western Kentucky University, we presume. It definitely had that college coffee shop feel. Very nice environment. The coffee and mocha were very good. I had the tuna melt and enjoyed it. The bread it was on was very tasty. My son had the chicken salad sandwich and wished it had been chunkier instead of ground so fine. He also did not like the raisins in the chicken salad. However, we both found it to be a comfortable place for a cup of good coffee. We appreciated that the menu appeared to be fresh ingredients with healthy options. read more

LOVE Spencer's!! It's located downtown pretty close to WKU. I would always come here to study. It's so unique and the atmosphere is so authentic.
