Great place for a local cup! Coffee was delicious and ambiance was on point. We had lattes and coffee cake which were both great.

Not being a big coffee drinker, I'm always a fan of places where the baristas aren't surly, staff are friendly, WiFi works, and there's plenty of space to work on the laptop. Spencer's is all of these (sans the surly baristas). Located right on the square, with plenty of parking, I'm now a fan, and will be back! read more

These guys have become quite good! Have their lattes and cappuccinos - they are absolutely great. OLD REVIEW: Spencer's lacks consistency. Most of their baristas know how to pull a good shot of espresso but not all of them. So when you do go there, you never know what you are going to end up with - a high-quality coffee drink or a mediocre cup of latte with boiling-hot milk (the kind you get at Stubracks). Being a former student at Western, I've been to Spencer's quite a bit to study or chill with friends. I've always gotten great service! Well today not only do I have delicious coffee, but the barista called me sir! The phenomenon is recent for me, so I'm not use to it, but I love it! Good coffee, good food, good atmosphere. I took 1 star off because of the internet. I visited friends from another state and decided to spend half a day in a coffee shop to have some work done. But there are many rules of using the internet in the shop. First, you need a password and they only give you a password for two hours. I did not ask for more so I do not know whether you can do it. Before you connect to the wifi, you will see a lot of rules, like rules about watching videos, and rules about taking seats (only a three or more people group can take a four-seat table, etc.). So the 2-hour limit is a little inconvenient. For other rules I'm not saying that they are not good or not required. But it makes me a little uncomfortable that within 3 minutes I entered a coffee shop I was given lots of rules to follow. It is a coffee shop to dine in or relax or work... It also made me suspect that there were people who usually fail to behave themselves so that the shop need to remind people like that. read more

Spencer's is absolutely my favorite place in Bowling Green. The service is always phenomenal, the coffee wonderful, and the food is superb. It's the perfect place to find a table in the corner to work on homework, or lounge around with friends in the back courtyard on a sunny day. The sandwiches are handmade to order and everything is delicious. The soups change daily and are all amazing! The Hoppin' John is my personal favorite. Spencers is a great place for pretty much everything. Dates, studying, eating, etc. they have wonderful food and pastries. The beer is wonderful. And the coffee..phenomenal. My favorite drink is the Lewis Latte because of the marshmallows on top. Great atmosphere and lovely staff. read more

Fun place downtown in the heart of BG. I had zero clue what to get.. There are sooooo many options! I played it safe and stuck with their drink special for the day, Huckleberry Fin I believe it was called. The cashier was more than glad to explain every single ingredient and gave my sister and I other options and her personal favorites!! Just visited this coffeehouse. Stood in line quite some time while the cashier talked to a friend standing at the cash register/order area and ignored me and one other lady. Then, she seemed offended when I did not leave a tip. LEARN SOME BUSINESS ETIQUETTE. You should have plenty of time for socializing in between customers. There are too many locally owned cafes and restaurants competing for business in Bowling Green for me to stand for this kind of service and attitude. Therefore, I will not return to Spencers...and remember word of mouth is the best kind of advertisement, whether good or bad. read more

First off, I don't like coffee, I had the tea. The tea just comes in a bag--I can't remember the brand--so I felt a little ridiculous paying for something I could microwave at home for a fraction of the cost. But! I hear the coffee's delicious, the staff is kinder than what you'll find at most hipster-y venues, and I thought the atmosphere was fairly chic for Bowling Green. read more

One of my favorite Roasters is Bango Java and this is one of their clients for the area. Great Coffee shop that seems to get better with the coffee, latte and other assortment of drinks when I visit. The only downside is they are limited on food. It's good but the menu is limited. I do love their breakfast "The Standard." I still give it 5 stars because it's the best place for Coffee in Bowling Green, I even buy my coffee for the house there. read more
