I've visited Spencerz a handful of times over the past 20+ years. I went to their old place across from Ocean Lakes campground many times and their current location once before several years ago. My family was staying nearby and my wife and I wanted somewhere we could walk to and enjoy an adult beverage. We arrived around 10:00 PM on a Wednesday night. We were able to get a seat at the bar. Bartenders were friendly enough. This is definitely a locals hangout. There is no draft system. People were drinking bottles or cans. I didn't see any food come out. I didn't have a bad experience at Spencerz and even with their Pittsburgh support I'm not sure how fast it will be before I return. Overall, outside of the multiple TVs it's a nondescript dive bar. read more

Some locals told us that Spencerz had one of the best Philly cheesesteaks in Myrtle Beach South Carolina. So we requested an uber and headed to SpencerZ. It gave off dive bar vibes. Now at 1st glance of the cheesesteak on the menu I was skeptical because it came with mushrooms and green peppers. I asked the waitress to remove the mushrooms and peppers and requested fried onions, cooper sharp and American cheese. The bread was toasted but it was actually pretty good. Great dive bar. Cold drinks and great service. I personally wouldn't eat here due to some of the super low scores in the past. And I don't eat anywhere that has nasty bathrooms. It's the first place I go when I get somewhere. If the bathrooms aren't clean neither is the kitchen. Customers can see the bathrooms but can't see the kitchen. Its a Steeler bar. It has to ne great . Again, its a bar, had a really great philly cheesesteak. It was overstuffed with wonderful. Wife had the Italian hoagie, and they serve it HOT!!! As it should be. So many places here serve it cold, you have to ask to have it heated and its never fully hot. We enjoyed the food. We dont drink. Service was kinda slow. Came in to watch football and as many times as we driven by we thought, why not, it's time to try something new. Its a pretty sad atmosphere. Kind of laid out weird. Has outdoor seating. Inside there are pool tables and dart boards and what looks like a DJ booth area for possible live music or karaoke. I didn't bother looking at the bathroom. We sat ourselves and our server/bartender was friendly enough. We ordered drinks and a "famous" cheesesteak to share since we ate dinner already. The cheesesteak was pretty good and the fries too, which are hand cut. We saw the house made chips and threw an order for them too. This is where things went wrong. When we first came in we were one of maybe 4 parties? And a few others came in, including a party of 6 and a small group of guys who clearly knew our server and kind of took her away from us by grabbing her butt and inviting her to play some darts, which she did. Then she ran by us often to tend to the party of 6. I finally put another drink in which she completely made the wrong drink but didn't even seem to notice and I just didn't have it in me to chase her down because she was clearly preoccupied. We never got our chips. Finally after she ran by us many more times I waved her down for the check. She apologized and gave us the chips to go and just said there's a lot of "personal drama" happening in the kitchen. There were other tables who didn't even get their food either so I know it wasn't us. We won't be returning. Too many other good spots in the area to waste time here. read more

Zero atmosphere- if your not a Pittsburg fan your not welcome. Yea drinks are certainly cheap, Great place for anyone with a limited budget. It's one of the last smoking holdouts. Went for my first time and had a great time. The food was great! Had grilled chicken bites ( they charged and extra $1 which I thought was odd) then had the quesadilla which was pretty good as well. Very smoky without good air filters and very regular bar fights. This place is a 50/50 chance of having a fun night out or getting caught in the middle of a bar brawl. We have seen both. Won't be back because the bartenders know the violent people personally and will actually warn other patrons about not speaking to them due to their violent outbursts but still allow them to stay and fight random people regardless. Not sure why. Sad because it has a great location, okay food, and trivia, but it is not worth watching avoidable fights that are allowed and almost encouraged by male staff. It has to be a one star because a fun night out should also be a safe night out and here that is a 50/50 shot. Not worth the gamble with so many other places to visit! Horrible experience! I went in for a quick bite and found out the cook had to leave due to family matters..... Waited 20 minutes for a new cook to come in. This place is gross. Would never go back. There are no girls there, all guys and when a group of girls go in it feels like a meat market. A meat market where guys who look as if they haven't showered or went to the dentist in years. The bartender was drunk and telling at guys to get the f out and doing moonshine shots. Went for a few drinks, food and pool. The bartenders are super nice, the food is AMAZING! I heard they have a new chef that is there every other day (other Chefs work on his days off) and the kitchen manager are awesome! They really care about the food and get fresh ingredients as local as possible, even growing their own! I'm not a foodie by any means, and that's not why I go, but I do appreciate a good meal or snack. The pool tables are great, no scratches in the felt and the house cues are really nice. No warped cues, tips are not mushroomed. I am a smoker so it's nice for me to be able to smoke while I'm hanging out there. For the non-smokers, there is an outside area with a picnic table and the ventilation system is decent. They also have darts, and a kickass jukebox that plays anything you can think of with really nice sound. If you're looking for a place to chill and relax, play some pool, watch the game, or have a GREAT meal, this is it. read more

It has all the games, literally has like 30 TV's. BUT it smells like wet dog and cigs as soon as you walk in, it's horrible. They have good food deals but I wouldn't trust the food here. Of the 30 people in here only me and my girlfriend were the ones without white hair lol way older crowd. But the smell is horrible , they should invest in febreeze.
